A nice condo that was under construction during our visit which made our stay very unpleasant.
Condo was clean.
Day 1 was fine. Days 2-5 the condo was under construction (being re-roofed) along with all the surrounding units. On day 2 we returned to the condo after our morning activities. Sitting at the dinning room table the pounding on the roof made the glass decorations start falling off the wall. We removed everything from the wall to prevent breakage. There was no quiet times at this location until the sun went down. This noise and construction continued on days 3-5. This condo should have never have been rented with type of construction going on. I am getting a $150 refund for this inconvenience, which we find unacceptable for all we had to deal with (what a joke). Wish we were notified this construction was going be taking place so we could have picked another facility.

The place is cozy and comfortable and close to year round activities.
This property is close to activities and offers all the necessities you would need. Laundry is nearby. This is very clean and all the furniture is comfortable. It offers a spectacular Mountain View as well.
Just a note, there are several flights of steps to get into the property.

We really enjoyed this place and would like to come back!
It was a very nice condo. It was nicely decorated. It was on a beautiful property. The kitchen sink was clogged when we got there and the property management sent someone to repair it quickly on Sunday evening. Which was greatly appreciated!
The interior was clean but the outside deck was so dirty with spider webs and hadn’t been swept off for awhile. There were 3 very dirty white bowls sitting out there. But that is my only complaint.

fair. but nice location.
the unit was very nice!
the kitchen was not very well accommodating. I had to purchase frying pans. the ones in the unit burnt everything we cooked. also, purchased a can opener because there wasn’t one supplied. these items were left in the unit to help the next renter safe in lodge wasn’t too helpful when we were asking about a cup of coffee.

Great stay... a few items shy of an excellent stay.
Location to Purgatory excellent. I've always stayed in Durango, but this was so much better. Spa facility really nice. Outdoor hot tub followed by steam bath is divine. Stove, fridge and dining furniture very nice. In-unit laundry a plus. Floors were nice, and mostly clean. Couch was comfortable for watching TV with good viewing options. Plenty of towels, pillows, linens. The central heating did an excellent job keeping the unit comfortable (no drafts). Shower head comfortable. Heater in bathroom was awesome, according to my girlfriend. Proximity to James Ranch Grill... great burgers and fingering potatoes to die for. Shampoo and conditioner were supplied in small bottles. Lots of lights and dimmers to provide necessary light anywhere in the facility. Icicles!! (See pic)
A large snow preceded our arrival, and the many stairs to climb were not cleared of snow making it somewhat dangerous, especially after it was stomped into ice. I would have shoveled them myself but no shovel could be seen. There were 3 of us, so my daughter needed the pull out bed. I thought the couch was the pull out bed, so I removed the cushions to find what looked like 30 years of crumbs, including a hair comb... definitely an area needing vacuuming. I then found that the chair was the pull out, but a quick test revealed that it was not usable due to the metal bar in the back. There was an inflatable bed but we did not need it as my daughter was fine with the couch. Many bowls, dishes and coffee cups were chipped, and should be replaced as that is a health issue. Although the coffee maker worked every day, it started acting up on the last day and would not go on. I unplugged and replugged and turned on but it still didn't make coffee until magically starting 10 minutes later. It could be on its last legs. A no-stick pan would be nice for making eggs but that would then need nylon utensils, and I can see that non caring residents may damage them. Still... egg cleanup was no small task. On that note, we needed good cleaning pads for the stainless cookware (there was steel wool, but it was falling apart and really not the best option considering what is available for such needs... a brush would have been great). No salt shaker. :( The shuttered window opening from the bedroom to the living space seemed unnecessary and made any semblance of privacy impossible. ;). That said, if a couple is staying with no 3rd party, the opening adds space to the bedroom. Even with all the above, I'd stay there again... just please vacuum that couch and prepare the steps during a snowfall.
