Comfortable room with nice surroundings.

Comfortable room

Reception was a bit of a disappointment. At 2:30pm the room was not ready and they asked to until check-in time. By 3:45pm the room was still not ready! They claimed it was a late morning reservation but I dont think that makes any sense whatsoever. Anyway, not a big deal in normal circumstances, but I was feeling poorly and needed to lay down.

I wanted a new experience by staying in a Kingston hotel but I would not stay there again

The convenience..Good location in Kingston

Cable didn’t work so I couldn’t watch nothing on the tv, internet was slow, AC was leaking in the room..etc

Nice ambiance. Sufficient parking. Hotel rooms are OK, it starts to need a refurbishment.

It has a nice ambiance. Restaurant is nice.

One of the male waiters in the restaurant was not sympathetic at all. But the rest of the female crew as excellent and saved the day.

Overall, hotel experience was unpleasant and disappointing. We’ll never return to this hotel

food in the on-site restaurant was good. Bed, in the room was comfortable, and shower was nice. Also, the screened-in patio was nice.

Staff was mostly unpleasant. At check-in we immediately experienced issues paying our remaining balance owed as we were told the amount we had already paid upon booking reservation was only a hold and not charged although it appeared on our confirmation and credit card statement. Also, A/C unit, in the room began pouring water and leaked all over our floor and luggage. When this was brought to manager’s attention, although maintenance came and drained the water, inconvenience was never adequately addressed. Lastly, I experienced frequent harassment from one of the restaurant staff about dress code although same issue was not being consistently addressed with other patrons.

Nice classical hotel, service was poor. NO airport shuttle.

Breakfast was good, although they got the order wrong, which seems to be a theme in Jamaica, though they rectified it fairly swiftly, clean hotel. happy staff.

They had no twin rooms available to book on line, i booked a suite, and on arrival at 2.30pm was informed that no twin rooms were available, however as i had a suite, the sofa bed would be made up for the second guest. We went to the pool for a few hrs, on returning to the room, the bed still wasn't made up, i called reception and reminded them the bed needed to be made up, they said they would send someone up immediately. We got ready for dinner, and when departing, advised them that the bed still hadn't been made up, 3rd time of asking, informed them we would be going out for dinner, could they ensure that it would be done for when we returned in a couple of hrs, which they promised. We returned at 9pm, went to room, bed still not done, called reception and told them we really were not happy, we had been up since 5am, and really needed to go to bed. they assured us someone would be up within 2 mins. over half an hr later, still no sign, called reception again, the woman knew nothing of our requirement and assured, once again someone would be up. 15 mins later, now past 10pm, a male member of staff appeared and placed a sheet on the mattress, an then put a blanket folded onto the bed. I asked are you not going to supply a sheet to go on top, to sleep under, he exclaimed, what , you want another sheet? i showed him how the main bed was made up, and he went away, came back with the second sheet and put it on the bed. It took a total of 5 requests and over 8 hrs to get the bed made up. The second issue is that the Hotel advertises that it has an Airport shuttle service, which is the main reason i booked it, THEY DO NOT ! They purely call a taxi for you, which costs an additional 40 USD, which any hotel would do, although they insisted that it was an Airport Shuttle, and would not accept that it was in fact just a taxi. Beware !

Classy stay and a great start to your Jamaican adventure.

The food was amazing. No matter what you order, you will love it. The room was quiet, just like I asked. The facilities are stylish and visually appealing and the staff is very kind and forthcoming. This a definite recommendation.

My stay was too short.

Premium stay with easy access to the city.

Friendly staff and clean room

1. Friendly staff and the room was big and very clean. 2. The location is really good if you need to go to the Canadian embassy. 3. I felt very safe.

1. There is no AC in the lobby and reception so the mosquitoes are eating you there nonstop since they keep the doors / windows open. 2. There is a cellular tower next to the pool / gym and while talking on my phone I felt like my head was boiling hot.

Staff at reception was professional. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfortable.

It too a while before we could get a table to have breakfast and the waitress seem to have forgotten us after we ordered. We had to speak to another waiter to get her and we didn't get our correct orders.

Probably the best hotel in downtown Kingston with old school charm and comfort.

Always good food and they still offer a wonderful Jamaican style breakfast. Rooms are large and have a comfortable layout for working in your room.

The breakfast buffet was not available and they closed their lobby coffee shop.

I kept itching as the linen was either dirty or the soap used caused allergic reaction. staff was not welcoming, breakfast orders took forever .

the location and the breakfast and in house entertainment

the service was not as expected as compared with previous years, mainly in the food service area. Food being served without utensils, food delivered not as requested and sometimes long wait for your meals and lack of proper dining etiquette.
