The close proximity to the main sites such as Hagia Sophia and blue mosque was very advantageous and links to the tram and underground metro (SiRkeci). Secondly the staff members in the hotel were extremely polite. Especially the general manager Dimitri he was very understanding whenever I kept forgetting my key card and locking myself out ,🤣. The family liked the breakfast it was a good variety of Turkish traditional with a few cereals, cakes and biscuits. You do get room service and cleaning everyday.. safe for valuables in your room with easy access and personal codes. You have a mini fridge with a kettle and toaster. Very good lighting and views of the street below. The beds were superb and very very comfortable I liked the firmness of the mattresses. Also decent room sizes.

The only 2 minor issues I had with the rooms is the lack of lock on the toilet door. Secondly The en suite is in an opaque glass enclosure which some people may not mind but some people will. 🤷.

Amazing stay in the heart of Istanbul

Fantastic position in the center of Istanbul close to the main points of interest, very good quality-price ratio, tidiness of all the areas.

People from receptions should be more open in speaking in English, breakfast can be improved: for 2 days the water and juices despenser did not work.

Disappointing

The location is perfect , near by everything !

the first night they gave us a different room from what we booked ! the room was very small , with some furniture very old , the bathroom small , the smell and towels that u don’t understand the color for how long has been used ! the breakfast with nothing special and service like 2 star hotel ! the second night they gave us a new room under the teracce , that u can sleep cose of the noise from up !

Good location. Comfortable bed. Staff were friendly (reception and bar).

Room lacked a reasonable amount of wardrobe and hanging space therefore lived out of our suitcases. The breakfast is very poor and lacking in choice and much the same every day.

Excellent location, 3 min on foot to Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque, 5 mins to Grand Bazaar and 15 mins to Suleymaniye Mosque. T1 tram line very close, so you can get over the Golden Horn to Karakoy and its cafes and sites in no time at all. Very convenient to just walk on foot through the old city, plethora of places to eat or to have a coffee or a tea. Personnel is extremely friendly and helpful. Ask them anything, and they will help you around the city, with the transfers or literally everything. It was our second stay in the hotel and it will definitely not be our last :) Natali cooks very good breakfasts; they are served in the lobby during the cold season and on the roof during summer. Both options are nice, and the food tastes like home-made. They don't serve dinner in the Albatros Hotel, so we recommend the 'Sefa restorant', 3 mins up the street - great quality, fresh food and no exorbitant prices :)

Very good

The hotel is located near to all main Istanbul attractions. The view from the terrace is amazingly 360, however during our stay the terrace is under renovation but accessible for viewing. The staffs are helpful to ready to assist with all your luggage. In case your flight is afternoon (after the check-out), they have luggage store next to the reception and you can store your luggage while roaming around.

The room toilet (3 bedroom) is glass and not lockable & this troublesome for those travelling with small group.

Albatros Hagia Sophia Hotel, probably the best in Instanbul

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel. The location of the hotel is exceptional and is walking distance from landmarks like Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Sarayi, Basilca Cistern and Blue mosque. Similarly Grand bazar and Spice bazar are 15-20 minutes by walk. You can also walk to the SirKeci area to eat and you can also walk further to Eminonu area. The Albatros Hagia Sophia Hotel rooms, breakfast and staff are very good. The cleaning in the rooms and toilet was prefect.

We stayed in room 412 this time, the view from the window was not very good due to the adjacent tall building. But the room had all the facilities like TV, WiFi, A/C /Heater, Beds and toiletries. Due to some reasons the hotel was not able to validate my debit card that I always use for Booking.com. So I called the hotel and they kept my booking. My card worked when I visited the hotel. This also happened with me last year, so I suggest the management of Albatros Hagia Sophia Hotel should check with Booking.com for this issue. The good thing was that Albatros Hagia Sophia Hotel kept my booking until I came physically to the hotel and used my debit card.

Excellent hotel for a 4-5 day getaway in the centre.

The location was phenomenal and the staff were extremely helpful in many ways. As I'm vegan, breakfast options were quite limited, but the staff bought some plant milk, only for me. This small gesture speaks volumes about their kindness. Our transfer back to the airport couldn't pick us up at the hotel due to extreme traffic, and a hotel staff member was kind enough to guide us to a less central meeting point.
