Comfortable stay in a tiny historic town.

A new and modern holiday house with enough space for longer stays. Modern kitchen and bathroom with all you need. Washing machine available. The hosts arranged a small electrical boat at a very reasonable price for us to go around. Supermarket at 15 minutes walk or boat ride. Although you can find many more places with plenty waterways in the Netherlands, this location is unique due to its concentration of traditional houses in a small area with well kept gardens. Also the tourist facilities are good though prices are a bit higher than in other places. I really appreciated the hosts who are nice people and assisted us where needed. A very comfortable stay in a tiny historic town.

Only a little firmer beds would have been nice. For the rest we were very happy with the house and area.

Beautiful place

Everything, nice place to stay and relax in. Mr Rob, his daughter, and his Nephew are so nice and helpful. they are amazing and I will plan to visit this place and Mr Rob again..

Excellent value for money in perfect location

Location is perfect. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Excellent value for money. House had absolutely everything we needed. Very quiet at night. Comfy beds. We would definitely stay again.

Only thing I can think of is sometimes I had to go outdoors to connect to WiFi and it was a little slow. But once connected it tended to stay connected.

A great spot for exploring the local nature reserves

The house was very comfortable and well equipped in a lovely peaceful location. I particularly the appreciated the Senseo coffee machine & coffee that was provided for when we arrived. When we arrived we left our car in the conveniently reserved car park & headed off (without our luggage) on the "Binnenpad" over the canals to find the main reception of De Sloothaak and pick up the keys for our house. It's worth knowing that Rob provides big wheeled carts for your luggage making it very easy to bring everything from your car to your holiday home - so don't bother trying to carry everything over before you've picked up your keys.

Though it didn't really matter for us as we could all use the internet via our mobile phone data plans, the WIFI in the house seemed very weak and intermittent. Maybe check with Rob if you really need to use it but we gave up. Likewise although the main living area was lovely & warm (it snowed while we were there!), the heating in the bedrooms didn't seem to be connected to the main thermostat so those radiators didn't really heat but we didn't spend much time in the bedrooms...
