Magnificent views and location

We had the lake side balcony and I have to say that the view was magnificent. I have never stayed in a gasthof with such idyllic view and location.

Parking and check in was a bit confusing.

Exceptional

The place goes over and beyond in terms of experience, views and service. The staff is super friendly and well-spoken in english so communication is not something to worry about. The suites are prepared very well and clean for all guests with comfortable bedding and atmosphere. The food available at their restaurant is inexpensive and tasty. The best part is the view of the gorgeous lake right in front of the accomodation. Has a great path for a walk around the lake as well.

We recommend that you don't pack really heavy as there are no elevators to take up to the upper level rooms. Highest level is the third floor so its not too bad.

This place is the Essence of the beauty of Europe! A lake view room with a balcony is amazing

This beautiful place is magical! The staff is wonderful and welcoming, the rooms are delightful and lovely , the food is incredible! We especially love the views of the lake and mountains !this is one of the best places in Europe.

They don’t take credit cards.

love Gosausee and Gasthof Gosausee is the best base to explore this place

This is a great gasthof. Restaurant food is wonderful. It pays very, very, very much to pay for a room with lake and mountain view. Awesome hike around Gosausee. It's so fascinating to see the Dachstein glacier at different lights during the day. 7euro laundry is so very, very, very helpful for long trips.

cozy stay by a beautiful lake

very nice staff and good breakfast. great location by a beautiful lake and with a lot of hiking routes nearby. parking was free for guests.

Very good location, friendly staff

There could be no better location to a hotel if one wants to visit Gosausee, because it lays next to the lake. Many trails start from the hotel. The personels are kind and helpful. The food is good and plenty. It is really peaceful during the night, meaning one can listen to the sounds of the nature (no barking, no shouting, no car traffic).

The bedmatresses are used or just too soft, at least for us. That is all.

Great accomodation next to the most beautiful lake

The room was very nice, modern (probably the overall Gasthof was recently renovated) and clean. All the staff in the Gasthof was very friendly and supportive. The breakfast was included and was very rich. And the location is simply great, especially if you are in love with the Gosausee the same way as we are. :-)

It is rather expensive but still with very good value for money and with included breakfast

couldn't imagine it any better. exceeded my expectations

breathtaking location, the beds are comfortable and the shower big and clean. the heat works great, the food in the restaurant is delicious and the staff is incredibly nice ( we had a crying baby the room next to us and they moved us to a different room right away)
