About this chalet rental
This rural mountain location is very private and enchanting - yet only a few miles from restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, etc.!!
It is situated in approximately a 2-acre clearing near the back of almost 10 wooded acres. The road is not visible from the chalet. The lane is 1/10 mile long (through the woods).
You may see wildlife while soaking in the hot tub, sitting on the deck or patio, or exploring the woods. There are several trails in our woods and a peaceful area by the creek to relax in a hammock, lay on the loungers, or sit on the swing while enjoying the stream or a campfire.
Our year-round hot tub (with an ozone-based purification system) is sunken into the patio for easy entry and exit.
Relax on the loungers by the outdoor fireplace after unwinding in the hot tub while smelling your steak on the propane grill.
There is accent lighting on the stone wall, fireplace, hot tub, wall/post lights, and area security lighting. You can control this lighting to create the most elegant and romantic outdoor experience.
There is an outdoor shower on the patio to rinse off before or cool off after your hot tub experience.
Watch a cheerful fire burning in the fireplace on the patio, through the patio doors, from the comfortable inclining queen bed.
Watch the sun go down in the west from the indoor Jacuzzi near the front windows in the main room.
The modern kitchen with granite countertops has stainless steel appliances, including a fridge/freezer, full range, microwave, toaster oven, blender, and Keurig coffee maker.
Included in the rental is...
- guest use of the washer and dryer on the ground floor
- firewood for the outdoor fireplace
- unlimited incoming and outgoing calls to anywhere in the United States and Canada on the phone in the chalet
- high-speed internet (WIFI) by Comcast.
For your safety and peace of mind, a fully automatic generator (power standby) unit is installed to provide full power to this property and all its amenities in the rare event of a power outage in the area.
WEEKEND RESERVATION POLICY...
We give priority to the guests who want to reserve the whole weekend (Friday through Monday). However, we will gladly accept a shorter stay if the weekend gets closer and it isn't booked. (Exceptions may also be made on a case-by-case basis).
Not having changeovers on Saturdays or Sundays allows the housekeepers a weekend break and the ability to worship on the Lord's Day.

We had such an amazing stay, probably my favorite rental ever. We spent 3 days relaxing, enjoying the outdoor space (outdoor shower, hot tub, lounge chairs, grill, fireplace, huge umbrellas) while taking in the scenery. There were so many pretty birds and we even saw wild turkeys. It was such a nice change of pace and truly relaxing. Everything you need to cook and grill was available and the basket of snacks and breakfast items were such a nice touch. I can’t wait to come back, maybe in the fall or winter as it was quite hot when we stayed from July 8-11, but staying in the shade and cooling off with the outdoor shower worked out well. Super private and romantic and just what we needed during a very busy summer.

We once again had a wonderful stay at this magnificent little bliss. It's a beautifully kept neat little place that has it all. From Hot tubs to fire place, sprawling green lawns to a peaceful stream with chairs and swings, it's truly a magnificent place to be.

We stayed here 2 yrs ago and had to come back. It's the perfect getaway as a married couple. We've stayed a quite a few places and this has by far been the best place. It's clean, organized, private and a neat little place! I highly recommend this place if your and your spouse are looking for the perfect getaway!!

Bev and Terry’s home is a magical romantic retreat. Their home is sparkling clean and they have added so many personal touches to make your stay the most memorable experience. Our stay (6/12/24-6/14/24) was perfect. The entire property was beautiful and very private. The house was immaculate and there were so many little touches that Bev and Terry provided that were so meaningful. We will definitely be back.

Bev is a pleasure to deal with, the house is stocked with everything you may need. The grounds around the house are peaceful and well maintained. The hot tub is a must do as well as bird watching and taking a stroll to the creek. I highly recommend staying at the chalet.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Private Hills Chalet! This was the perfect place to get away to and relax for a couple days with the hot tub, grill, fireplace and outdoor trails. 10/10 will definitely come again and will for sure recommend this to my friends and family.

This has been the best romantic getaway I have ever had, we loved everything, everything was super clean, super comfortable, there is everything there, I also want to highlight that I forgot some sunglasses that mean a lot to me, I thought I would lose them but I spoke to the hostesses and they will send them to my house, that is admirable, that is great, appreciable. This is a wonderful place to stay if you enjoy romantic places, in the woods and with a creek close by. I would highly recommend it for couples for honeymoons, or just a getaway.

I can't tell you how impressed my wife and I were with the little details we found hidden throughout the chalet (don't be afraid to climb the ladder in the bedroom). We highly recommend this property if you want to disconnect from life's hustle and bustle and have a romantic place to reconnect with your partner! It was worth every penny and we are counting the minutes until we are able to return!

Words cannot describe just how beautiful and serene this property is. The drive in is very scenic. Upon entering the house, the foyer was warmed for us by a cozy fireplace. Once upstairs, the house had such an ambience with low lighting, cozy electric fireplace already on for us, pretty string lights and soft music already playing in the background.There was so much attention to detail here.My husband and I were able to just feel our systems decompress! We were pleasantly surprised that there was a convenient walk-out from the master directly to the gorgeously landscaped patio with the hot tub, grill and fireplace right there! No steps to access this area. Loved that! Although our booking was during the cold of winter, we found it to be was a blast to grill and have a blazing fire and surrounding snow to enjoy. The glow can be seen from the master bedroom and hot tub-definitly bonus. The setting and the privacy along with the rolling hills view while soaking in the hot tub was just really pretty. The house had all the comforts of home from the nicely decorated interior to the scenic view from deck facing jacuzzi. We took advantage of it all!! We are excited to return to enjoy the fall colors from this spectacular home and setting! Oh and the check-in/out process was cake. Bev is so communicative and sweet! Thanks for this peaceful and romantic stay!

As two young professionals working in the city we were looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat to celebrate our 5th anniversary. This cabin really fit the bill. On arrival Bev greeted us and made sure we got in the door okay. We were immediately impressed with how clean the property was - we both like to take off our shoes inside and felt like we could do that comfortably in this property. We also really loved the nature trail on the property and spent quite a bit of time there. My husband also was happ to find the grill in perfect working order. All in all a wonderful stay!
