Good Location, old hotel with less customer service

The hotel is very central location of Ilsenburg with a lot of hiking and walking paths. The staff was very kind, caring and helpful. The rooms are quite large as well as clean and well equipped with any amenities.

The spa area is quite old and not renovated, actually we expected more for the worth of the money. Unfortunately during our 3rd day of stay, I was tested covid positive and we decided to drive back home not to risk anyone at the hotel where there are a lot of elderly people. The hotel told us that they could have offered a voucher for the 3rd day unless the booking would have been made through hotel's website but not from Booking.com. Therefore, we had to pay the full amount of that day (265 euro) We communicated this issue with the Booking.com by expecting a positive outcome however the customer support was informed by the hotel reception that there was no communication about the voucher at all! Considering a loyal customer of Booking.com, we were expecting that they could take some liability for the satisfaction of their customers and provide a voucher on behalf of the hotel but it seems they do not care that much either. So, therefore we have decided to minimize our activities through Booking.com and look for other alternatives as well as websites of the hotels.

Excellent location by the lakeside. The rooms were comfortable. But the absence of fans an d ACs in the room was uncomfortable in this hot weather.

Staffs are all kind and friendly, always available to the guests Terrace is in front of lake which is gorgeous, perfect breakfast place.

Great Hotel!!

Fantastic breakfast a lot of variety, very friendly staff aspecially Steffi was amazing! Room was nice and spacious as requested! Wellness and swimming pool is great!!

Missing power sockets next to the bed to charge phones. A la carte menu restaurant is overpriced. Maincourse took 1,5 hour...

Wonderful location and wonderful Landhaus

The staff was wery kind and the room and breakfast were excellent. Right in the middle of Ilsenburg, close to the castle, closter and several hiking routes along the Ilse.

I did not like that the Spa and gym were closed and the restaurant too due to corona restrictions

The Restaurant was great. We have had a dinner there and it was really delicious.

The hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel. it was extremely expensive. service, room and SPA part was not even a 4 Star Hotel. Breakfast was very bad with poor quality

Perfect and relaxing

Nice location in tiny beautiful city with a view to the lake and park. Very big room, we asked additional bed for son and it was still enough place for everyone. Very comfortable pool, sauna and relaxing beds inside and outside. Perfect place to relax looking for forests and mountains. Really good restaurant with good food, it’s a rarely thing in Germany).
