Serine Mountain Tranquillity

It’s beautifully situated on the riverside, refurbished in a modern, simple Harzen style. It was fun that we could have a room for the entire family of five.

The rooms didn’t have either fridge or kitchen - and the restaurant were only open the first night (making the somewhat remote location impractical) There’s no cellular coverage at the hotel - and their complementary Wi-Fi were unstable at best. They should make this clear on Booking.com (even though most probably come for the quiet of nature)

Das Personal war sehr bemüht uns einen schönen Aufenthalt zu gestalten.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Sehr gepflegte und schöne Anlage direkt am Fluss. Zimmerausstattung sehr modern. Frühstück sehr gut. Hotel und Lodges im sehr schönen Stil hergerichtet. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett. Fahrradraum für unsere Mountainbikes.

Keine Möglichkeit Getränke zu kühlen auf dem Zimmer. Wenige Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Gute und preiswerte Unterkunft , sehr ruhig gelegen !

Die Unterkunft selbst war gut bis sehr gut, das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Zimmer (auch Bad, Betten, Balkon usw.) sauber. Wasserkocher und Fernseher vorhanden. Der Chef sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, das Personal ebenso. Frühstück, ausreichend, wenn auch übersichtlich ... ein wenig mehr Obst und Gemüse wäre vielleicht gut . Es gibt im "Haupthaus" eine große "Minibar", aus der man auch in der Nacht noch Getränke entnehmen kann.

Was wir verbessern würden : Die Austattung der Zimmer ist ein wenig "gewöhnungsbedürftig". Stühle und Tisch erinnern eher an Camping, ein bequemer Sessel, zum lesen oder Fernseher schauen wäre angebracht. Es gibt keine "Minibar" auf den Zimmern, somit auch keinen Kühlschrank, schlecht in der warmen Jahreszeit ! Das "W-Lan" ist leider eine Katastrophe ! Im Zimmer zu schwach, dauernder Ausfall !

Traumhaft schönes Hotel nicht nur für wanderer

Dieses Hotel ist nicht nur für Wanderer traumhaft gelegen. Das Rauschen der Bode und super schöne Terrasse am Zimmer helfen beim entspannen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Abendessen war super lecker, auch das Frühstück hat alles geboten was man sich für ein leckeres Frühstück wünscht. Super freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal haben den Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht.

Awesome lodge for hikers on Harzer Hexensteig

Super friendly and helpful staff, fantastic fresh food, served traditional DDR (East German) soups for starters, although other fresh organic foods were also available. Food was SUPERB. Room was beautiful with terrace overlooking the water and shower with back jets - perfect for relaxing muscles after a day hiking.. Great atmosphere, super chilled and relaxed, restaurant was similar to an American lodge (but way cooler). Staff were so kind and accomodating and were great Ambassador's for Germany. Would definitely stay again. Great for those on the Harzer Hexensteig.

Restful, hospitable, friendly and safe

Beautiful location and lovely staff. Appreciated the gluten free bread rolls and non dairy milk at breakfast, which added to the already delicious breakfast. The room overlooked the river and had a superb veranda to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Exceptional

The balcony was huge with a very tranquil view of the river below. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was relaxing. The dinner at the restaurant was also very nice.

the property was very isolated, which wouldn’t be a problem if the restaurant / bar was open more….but when closed for 2 nights of the week, there’s nowhere close by to go.

Great place to stay with perfect host for active vacation.

The breakfast was very clean and neat (covid measures). Also really tasty and fresh. The location is idyllic near the river Bode. We slept in the lodge next to the main building. In the neighborhood it's not very busy or densely populated. A lot of activities to do and see in the Harz area.

No charger for electronic car.

Friendly and welcoming stuff, cosy interior and everything was neat and clean. Wonderfull and picturesque view from the room. It’s a 10 out of 10!
