Fabulous overnight stay close to Appenzell but away from the crowds.

Beautiful room with huge bathroom. Very cosy vibe. The dinner and breakfast in the hotel were fabulous. The staff were lovely - very attentive and extremely friendly.

The location is good . The restaurant has really tasty food and good wine. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is good. Very convenient for a one night stay.

The hotel parking is very small, don't have free places.

Great for a short stay in Appenzell region

My second time and enjoyed my stay again, the quality of meals in the restaurant is amazing, prepared with love and fresh products.

Highly recommend this spacious and clean accommodation outside of St Gallen.

The room is clean, spacious and beautiful! The cow soft toy is also a nice touch to welcome us into the room. Appreciate the spacious lifts that enabled us to move our luggage easily. I’ve also learnt a bit of history of this house/boutique hotel and found it really cool and updated for guests to stay in. This is much better than other historical buildings we’ve stayed in earlier.

It’s a bit out of the way from the nearest town (St Gallen) especially when our stay was on a Sunday and nothing was opened in this smaller town. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m visiting on a weekday!

The management is poor the Hotel sent me 8 pages of confirmation and PR but no phone number. Failed to tell or advise me there no service in restaurant on Sunday it’s closed. They failed to give the code to enter on Sunday therefore I could have been locked out.

A clean and silent place to stay in a Swiss German village close to St.Gallen

The hotel building is a nicely renovated old mansion. It is clean and silent although the hotel is on the main road (not a busy one). A beautiful stay for anyone looking for some peaceful time in a Swiss German village. It is very close to the train station and the city of St.Gallen is only 10-min drive away

The bed was not large enough and the pillows were too thin to have comfortable sleep. Otherwise, there is nothing much to complain about. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I am back in that part of Switzerland

Very clean and good facilities. Nice rooms

Property is good. However Sunday and Monday are rest days and there are no alternative restaurants in town. We had to take taxi to nearby village to eat

Close to the street with a tramway and, as it was snowing, frequent passages from the snow plow (hardly the hotel’s fault though). Solid triple glaing offsets this but we like to keep a window open st night...

Cheaper to book through hotel's website!

The hotel was good, small and cozy, but it was more expensive to book through Booking.com than through the hotel's website. Unfortunately, I booked it through Booking, and Booking.com didn't match the price even after my claim. So check their own website first! Enjoy!
