This UNIQUE Broadkill Beach house is located 3rd house from the water. Best feature of the house is the water views from the main living space, deck on the 2nd floor and each bedroom. 1st floor has 3 bedrooms, including master, 2 full bathrooms, laundry facilities, and a bonus room with 2 pull out sofa beds that lead to the rear private deck. The 2nd will amaze you. As the front pictures shows this house is ROUND..... that's right round. As you head up to the 2nd floor there's a nicely sized screened in porch to your right. Entering into the great room your eyes will immediately take notice of the ceiling and extra-large ceiling fan. In this room you'll find a completely open concept combining the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Absolutely perfect for entertaining and enjoying your vacation time with family. Also featured on the 2nd floor is a gas fireplace, LOTS of windows that lookout onto the Delaware Bay, half bathroom, and nice size deck on the front of the house with gas grill. The house is very unique! The living room area is round! And huge! It is filled with comfortable furniture, a large dining table, a place to play cards, and stools by the kitchen counter to chat while cooking!
Kitchen is stocked so in-house cooking was easy. A screened in porch made eating enjoyable.
The property is clean and close to the beach. A short walk over the dunes gets you to the bay beaches where you can watch the crabs run to and fro.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the round house!

This location is excellent for the family that wants to get away and RELAX. The unit is spacious in the event you have a large amount of people with you on your vacation. It is a short 5 min walk to the beach(Delaware Bay) but even this area is not the commotion of the large resort/tourist area which makes it all that much more relaxing. Understand that is a little bit of a ride if you are looking to head to any of the resort/tourist areas. The 1st floor living is great and each room was nicely furnished with very comfortable beds. The Unit was very clean upon arrival. Plenty of board games for family get togethers for an enjoyable game playing evening. There were plenty of sand toys, tubes and if needed boogie boards in the "shed". Tricky to notice, it is the structure base of the AC Unit. There were 3 bikes during our rental. This made going for short ride to the general store(1/2 mile) a quick and easy trip. The outside shower was great, it is a perfect size, and water pressure was great. We had one little "hiccup". We brought firesticks for the TV so that we could just utilize our streaming apps for evening time or not hassling to sign in via other TV's. For some reason just got a blank screen when utilizing the upstairs TV, but communicated with the Rental Agent and was given permission to factory reset the tv and this worked. All in all, communication was great with the agent, it was a spacious and clean unit, relaxing and quite area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We've always wanted to stay in a round-house and the property was amazing! Plenty of space for family, a short walk over beautiful dunes to the wide, beautiful beach. Perfect property for those who want to enjoy nature away from the chaos of the boardwalks. 5stars!

The house itself is lovely and comfortable, with great amenities. The location a short walk from the beach was perfect. But the place was not clean, especially the kitchen. We had to clean it on the first night before we could use it. There was a swarm of ants that the property manager had made an ineffective attempt to eradicate. We finally got rid of them after about 3 days, including a considerable amount of time deep cleaning. The cabinets where the ants were swarming were filthy (we found an open bag of coffee with a 2011 sell-by date). There were small puddles of dried grease in one of the cabinets.There was hair everywhere including in the refrigerator and freezer and on the floor. The main eating and food prep counter had been superficially cleaned, if at all. A rental office representative told me that they could have sent the cleaning crew back, but that would have been impractical since we arrived on Sat night and couldn't use the kitchen as we found it. We also would not have wanted a cleaning crew to disrupt our stay for cleaning that should have been done before we arrived. To be fair, it's a big house to clean in the 5 hours between checkout and checkin time. Evidently they need a much bigger and attentive crew. The dishwasher stopped working on the first night. Just unlucky, I guess. Needed a new part, on order, so we had no DW for our stay (not the landlord's fault, though). The wifi dropped a few times, requiring us to unplug and replug the router.

We had a great 4th of July week in the round house. It was my girlfriend and I with my teen boys and my sister with her 3 teenagers. We really loved the top floor and the views of the bay from the top floor. Also the great space on the top floor for family gatherings and meals. It was a short walk to the beach and we loved having a bonfire on the beach and watching fireworks on the 4th. The mosquitoes can be bad at times walking over the dunes and under the house around the shower but we knew about that ahead of time. So we did not use the outside shower much. I would suggest a privacy screen to put across where the bunk beds are located since there is no door there. But overall we had a great time.

The property has a large open concept space on the second floor that was lovely for our multi-generational family gathering. It has great beach access and a wonderful heated outdoor shower.
There were a couple of downsides. The bedrooms are all on the first floor and noise carries easily between them. There is no beach equipment at the house for guest use.

The house is big and has everything you need. Proximity to beach is good. 3 houses from the entrance to the dunes followed by about a 50 yard dune parth. Outdoor shower is great. 2 issues we encountered were that the place was very sandy. We needed to sweep up all the sand in everyroom. There was even sand on one of the beds. I did mention this to the owner and he said he would contact the cleaning service. 2nd issue is mosquitoes. If the wind is blowing the wrong direction or not at all, then make sure you have good bug spray. As a side note, the location is about 20 minutes from any shopping or restaurants. This is a good place for a family that does not go out often.

End of Summer at Broadkill Beach
What a wonderful week with my family! Location and amenities were all as promised; short walk to the beach, roomy and comfortable house, plenty of outdoor space. Our adult children enjoyed fishing on the beach, we made a fire almost each night, went down the road to catch crabs, enjoyed the sticky buns from the general store. Property is well maintained, great A/C, terrific sound system, plenty of windows. All in all, I'd highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Space
We had a lovely week at 'The Round House'. The rooms were well appointed as well as the upstairs. Plenty of space for the three of us as the house can host a large family. Our favorite place was the upstairs screened in porch where we had meals and morning coffees.
The walk to the beach is an easy stroll through the board lined dune and not too buggy! Just watch out for burrs on those flowers bushes!
We will definitely keep this house on our list to return! Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Great house on a quiet beach
We had a very enjoyable stay. The house is absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable and well equipped, with ample common space indoors and outdoors to relax and enjoy each other's company. It is full of natural light, and beautifully decorated. Toward the end of our stay we all repeatedly wished to be back as soon as possible.

Another Great Vacation
This was our third summer staying in this home. It is well appointed for our family of 6 adults and 2 dogs. We love the open floor plan on the top level which provides plenty of room to spend time together and enjoy the spectacular views. At the same time, there are multiple decks and a screened porch if you want some time alone. This house is an easy walk to the beach and house a large outdoor shower.

Round House Full of Light
Family had a fantastic stay at this property. The natural light on both levels of the house make it so inviting. The views are also fantastic. Street was nice and quiet, area was great for bike riding as well.
Rooms were spacious and clean upon arrival. Everyone loved the open concept of the second floor, which is where we spent most of our time if we weren’t outside.
Walk to beach from front door was maybe 5-8 minutes (depending on how much crap you are bringing). Beaches are amazing. Only issue we had was jelly fish on the first day. Spoke with locals and said it happens sometime with the warm water. Quickly resolved and was not an issue the rest of the week.
Highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

We had a great week at this house. It is very clean, is close to the beach (I timed it at a 5 min walk from the house to beachsite), and is in a quiet location. The house is big and has 3 separate bedrooms with a fourth "bedroom" in the hallway (it has a bunkbed) so I think 2 families could stay here comfortably. 2 full baths (with one a tub and the other a shower - we did have some trouble with the tub stopper staying down, but it wasn't too bad). There are 3 porches and beautiful bay views from the top level. The house has lots of light and windows. There aren't any curtains in the bedrooms, so it can get bright in the morning (it makes for an early wake up if you have kids). It is kid friendly and we appreciated the children's books, step stools and sand toys. Carl (the owner) was very responsive to any questions we had. The house is well stocked and I was able to make several dinners (including pulled pork in the slow cooker and hamburgers/hotdogs on the grill). It had all the cooking/dining tools and utensils we needed. It has both a drip coffee maker and a Kerrigan which was great. All the rooms were very clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was colder on the lower level but was fine. Overall, our family had a nice and relaxing stay at Broadkill Beach - it is a hidden gem among the DE beaches and I would recommend it for anyone who wants a quieter, relaxing atmosphere.

Great place to stay
We had a group children and adults and tires accommodated everyone. We loved the large great room/common area on the top floor! We had multiple family movie nights where everyone got a seat on the large sectional. Nobody was left out with the kitchen being right there too. The walk to the beach was super easy. Carl was great to deal with and they made checking in easy. I highly recommend this property

Fish pond in yard with bench very nice peaceful spot to sit. Outdoor shower great to have when returning from beach. Very nice grill on upper deck. We were looking for the perfect getaway for our family’s first trip during the pandemic and this was excellent! We traveled with 4 kids, a grandparent & a dog. The house was impeccably clean and well equipped (could use some new frying pans) & great for our large family. We loved spending time on the deck off the main living area. My preschooler loved the reading corner and little stools throughout the house. The outdoor shower was so nice for cleaning up after a beach trip. The beach was very close and easily accessible with a path. The house had plenty of beach toys, chairs and even a beach cart! Broadkill Beach was not busy at all during our stay which was a lovely way to spend time on the beach. It was nice to be able to take day trips to the other Delaware beaches to experience the Atlantic Ocean and the Rehoboth boardwalk. We had a wonderful week at this property and have recommended it to several others!
