Central location perfect for a stopover

Central location, good parking (because its on top of a public car park), good views from the roof terrace, good breakfast with a good variety of food. Good English spoken by staff

Nothing much, if I had to say anything it would be the slightly dated rooms.

Super séjour à Heidelberg

L'emplacement de l'hôtel : au pied du château et en plein centre de la ville historique. Un parking situé juste sous l'hôtel. Personnel accueillant et bon petit déjeuner pouvant être pris sur la terrasse de l'hôtel avec une superbe vue sur le château.

L'isolation phonique des chambres pourrait être améliorée.

Wonderful

Our room was lovely and clean and had a view of the old town rooftops and river. This hotel has parking and also the funicular station directly to the castle, right under the hotel, very convient. The hotel is in the old town and is close enough to walk to every site, including the old bridge and the castle. The breakfast is fresh and tasty. The staff is friendly and recommended a great restaurant, wirtz haus zum spreisel. We enjoyed our visit!

The bathroom is small.

Tolles, zentrales Hotel für eine Städtereise

Die Lage des Hotels war super, direkt am Rand der Altstadt und unterhalb des Schloss

Frühstücksbuffet sehr klein und eng und wenn etwas aus war wurde leider nicht mehr nachgefüllt, auch nicht auf Nachfrage Beispiel: An einem Tag vor 9 Uhr schon keine normalen Semmeln mehr und am anderen Tag haben auch andere Gäste nach Eiern gefragt und 30 min. später gab es immer noch keine. Schade... gejammert auf hohem Niveau, sonst war alles vorhanden

Schöner Aufenthalt mit einem schönen Ausblick.

Top Lage mit Parkhaus & direkt unter dem Schloss. Aus dem Frühstücksraum blickt man aufs Schloss. Dennoch zentral gelegen. Vom Zimmer aus habe ich von oben auf die Altstadt von Heidelberg aus einen schönen Blick gehabt.

Happy In Heidelberg

Large rooftop garden with a view of the town and castle. Very convenient to walk to the "Old Town" from the hotel. Great parkade adjoining the hotel with easy access to the elevators. Great breakfast buffet with very attentive staff.

Parking fee at 20 Euros PER DAY was very expensive. We would have appreciated free parking included in the hotel price ! We notified the staff about the dust bunnies under the bed. After the vacuuming was done ( not properly ) there was still schmutz coming out from under the bed.

The hotel is very well located. The staff is really friendly and professional. The breakfast is large and nice enough, not too much and quite tasty. Our window gives a close view to the Schloss of Heidelberg, it's wonderful. I would stay again in this hotel if coming back to HEIDELBERG.

One of my favorite places!

We love getting over jet lag in Heidelberg at the Hotel am Schloss. Daily breakfast is perfect and with a view! Parking is on-site and they offer a discount. It's next to the train for the castle, and within a block of the Christmas Market (3 areas). The bridge is a few blocks away. Plenty of restaurants and small markets for all of your needs.

Parking garage is not for tall vehicles. Check your height before you enter.

Easy parking as the hotel is on top of a multi storey carpark. Discount card for parking from the hotel. Wonderful warm welcome from the reception staff. Offered tea or coffee on arrival. Room clean and comfortable. Good breakfast with excellent service despite being very busy. Easy walk into town. Nice views from Room.

Good stay, bad experience with staff charging my credit card double.

Location, room, breakfast, all basics were fine

Staff at front desk both a check-in and check-out were not able to manage my booking correctly, causing to double charge my credit card. Hotel Am Schloss wishes not to correct for the error made. Very disappointing.

Location and service

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is a 10 minutes walk to the market square area and the nearest restaurants, shops, Heidelberg Palace, etc. The hotel has parking on site (paid parking) on a lower level and Reception will walk you through this. At the hotel, you can see Heidelberg Palace and the view of Heidelberg from the rooftop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Other amenities were good as advertised here. Also, breakfast was good. Definitely recommend, thank you.

Basic hotel at amazing location

Location was amazing, right at foot of the Heidelberg Palace and minutes walk to alsdat and key attractions. Parking at the public carpark was convenient with discounted rate of 10 euros fpr 24 hours. Staff were very helpful and friendly and gave a very good recommendation for dinner.

Room was clean but bed sagged in the middle. No proper pillows, just folded comforters in pillow cases ?
