Stunning location, away from the town centre.

Beautiful location with stunning rooms, amazing views and a lovely swimming pool. Most importantly, they are pet friendly and our 2 dogs had a great time. We also enjoyed a short walk down to the river.

I have stayed at similar places that were cheaper. Comparatively speaking, I think if Le Manor de Brendal included breakfast in their price, then it would have been full 5 stars across the board.

Lovely tranquil weekend stay in the heart of the Cape Winelands

Great, secure location with stunning mountain views and on-site parking. Large, modern, well appointed room in one of the annexes separate from the main house with double bathroom and large, comfortable bed. Pleasant patio barbecue area with sufficient privacy from immediate neighbouring guests. Nice pool with attentive bar service. Large grounds ideal for tranquil, scenic stroll before or after meals. Cosy guest lounge in main farm-house. Superb alfresco breakfast on the main house verandah with a view and an extensive range of options, including many delicious locally sourced items (honey, butter, yoghurt).

Wi-Fi coverage in the annex was patchy, although manager did respond that they were experiencing poor service from their Internet Provider (which I can very well believe) and were trying hard to resolve with purchase of booster signal equipment. It wasn't a deal breaker for us, but if you are dependent on continuous, strong wi-fi throughout your stay, I'd suggest that you phone ahead and check before committing. Load-shedding (scheduled power cuts) also affects wi-fi and aircon, but that can't be blamed on the venue. Serving staff were very well meaning and good intentioned, but could benefit from a touch more training - there were a few minor mix-ups at a busy breakfast serving with cold not hot milk with coffee and a delay in replenishing milk for cereals.

A magical all too brief stay in a bit of paradise.

A beautiful residence with its very own vineyard and river to explore Best breakfast of our stay in South Africa. Charleen the owner, was so helpful in arranging taxis and restaurants etc Pool and surroundings were lovely

Breakfast and location really good. The manager Charmaine and her staff are very helpful. Pool and tennis court are big plusses.

Quite tired accommodation in parts, some of our party were booked into one of the cottages but were able to get an upgrade to a different room.

Charmaine, the owner, went out of her way to make our stay memorable. Nothing was too much trouble, and this work ethic translated to her staff. It's a beautiful, relaxed setting just a few Kilometers outside the hustle and bustle of central Franschoek. The accommodation was spacious, spotless and the complimentary bottle of Manoir De Brendel wine was sublime. Definitely a place to return to.

the warm welcome here n arrival, the staff, the setting, the rooms and the breakfast were all incredible. we had wonderful walks through the farm with our dog who loved it too. we cant wait to come back and spend more time there.

A relaxing stay for a literary weekend.

The staff were very attentive. The breakfast was perfect - I got what I wanted, and my husband got what he wanted. It was super quiet.

We had a lovely stay at Le Manoir de Brendel. The location is ideal, staff and service was excellent, the grounds are beautiful! We stayed in the Vineyard Cottage is was spacious and gorgeous. Really happy to have found such a lovely place that allowed us to travel with our small dog.

The only suggestion I would send through is that Le Manoir de Brendel needs a little bit of updating of their decor.
