Rickety Bridge Manor House like home from home

Very comfortable old world charm Manor house and cosy accomodation with good breakfast and the free wine tasting that was included was a nice touch and stunning scenery

There are dedicated marked guest house parking bays allocated. On check in time at 14:00 the Pauline's restaurant and the wine tasting are full with non guest house visitors who park in the guest house parking bays. There is sufficient parking available for them which is further away. Possibly install a pole, chain or beacon to prevent non residents from parking there

Perfect peaceful historical stay. Loved it!

Oh my word, such a stunning place! We had the Shiraz room in the original house, and it was so beautifully decorated and so peaceful. Complimentary Sherry each day, and i really appreciated the small detail of complimentary bath salts each day. It was so cosy and atmospheric. We were in our element. Staff were so accommodating, warm, friendly, and helpful. Wonderful breakfasts cooked fresh upon request. And very delicious wines with some of the oldest living original wines. Views of surrounding mountains and log fires lit in the evenings. It's just so beautiful and perfect. Thank you all! Will never forget our stay here.

The staff were very friendly, and the accommodation was very comfortable and warm, we stayed in winter and we enjoyed the underfloor heating. Breakfast was delicious.

We enjoyed a comfortable, easy going getaway that was safe & private, with a touch of being spoilt.

Friendly and helpful staff - Martha was really good as well as the other support staff. All our requests were met. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was comfortable, clean and inviting although we both thought it would benefit from a little refresh.

Amazing experience

The stay was overall amazing. Martha provides excellent service and is very attentive, her breakfast was simply the best. The room was big and very comfortable (the mattress can be warmed up).

Because of load-shedding, they use an inverter that is a bit annoying at night, but power is always guaranteed. I would have appreciated knowing in advance that a wine tasting was offered since we already had plans and we couldn't enjoy it. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Absolutely Loved every minute of our stay. Wine tasting was our favourite in the area. Fabulous!

This property is stunning and so well maintained! We were looked after by Martha and Susan. We Felt safe for the 2 nights we stayed, with a night porter on the property. Breakfasts made By Martha and served by Susan were Delicious, their company was fun and very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was Beautiful, even better than the pictures.

Old traditional building at the vineyard. Nice atmosphere, rooms decorated with antique furniture. Wine tasting was included at the restaurant. And both host ladies deserve a 10, always smiling and are there to make you feel comfortable.

Magical Stay.

From the moment we were greeted by a smiley Martha until we were waved off by cheerful Heidi we loved every moment we spent at Rickety Bridge Manor. We stayed in Pinotage room and it couldn't have been better. Spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, it had everything we wanted and more. From the luxury bedlinen and large fluffy towels, the slipper bath and enormous shower, the comfy seating and coffee maker, to the fresh milk for tea and the excellent house wine in the mini bar, nothing was missing to make this a perfect stay. The views from every window are outstanding, and being able to use the small pool an added bonus. Breakfast was a delicious feast in every respect with fruit, cereal and yogurt, a cold continental buffet, as well as a cooked to order hot menu. It certainly left us not needing lunch. Lastly, and not least of all, the complimentary wine tasting in the adjacent tasting room was great fun and not to be missed. If we are every fortunate enough to be in this beautiful part of the world again, we would definitely choose Rickety Bridge.

Perfect Anniversary Stay

Everything about our stay was perfect, from Check in to Check out! All staff members were friendly and very helpful. We felt like royalty all weekend long. The breakfast was great, with a big variety. We were sad to leave but will definitely be back!

Perfection in wine country.

Gorgeous room at the heart of a beautiful wine estate. Incredible surroundings, delicious food, and helpful staff. The Franschoek wine tram stops at Rickety Bridge Estate so you can finish the tour with a stay here. I cannot recommended them highly enough.

A really memorable weekend in Franschhoek and we stayed at a beautiful farm close to the town.

Breakfast cooked by Martha was delicious. Throughout the staff looked after us, lighting fires in the lounge, always being helpful & made us feel at home. The place is beautiful & we also loved the wine tasting & look forward to drinking the Cabernet & the Shiraz when they are ready to drink.

The shower was difficult to regulate but everything else was pretty much perfect

Set in such beautiful surrounds, we loved our spacious room and the spacious bathroom. Really comfortable & cosy bed. A wonderful place to relax in, not just to sleep in. Martha & the team could not do enough to welcome us, they made us feel like we were family being welcomed home. Truly nothing was too much trouble, they were so accommodating. We loved everyday we stayed, so much so we extended our stay twice.

Perhaps change the hand & shower gels as they didn’t smell that nice.
