Gardens and location were superb.
Slightly cramped accommodation and difficult access up 2 flights of stairs
8.0
Beautiful flower garden and setting in extensive grounda
Access to second floor by long, steep spiral staircase, but all part of character of old chateau. Staff perhaps a bit overstretched, so service somewhat lunimaginative.

We stayed in L’Atelier Studio and it was wonderful. It was so well equipped, comfortable and totally relaxing. The Chateau and Grounds simply beautiful.
Nothing, it was perfect (even the poor wi-fi helped us relax 😊)

gorgeous location and very nice staff

I loved it here! Such kind and welcoming hosts. Our bedroom was so romantic in the tower up windy stairs, and the bathroom was exceptional with a huge bath. It's set in gorgeous grounds and your view is of the parkland. Breakfast had lovely fresh juice and was continental in a sunny room overlooking a kitchen garden. I would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you.
I liked everything!

We had a fantastic few days away at the holiday home in the grounds of the chateau. Very tranquil and relaxing in a lovely location. The owner and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was extremely well appointed, clean and comfortable, the beds were also very comfortable. It was a great location, a countryside retreat but still close to Dieppe. Thank you for the perfect stay, we will be definitely returning.

beautiful walks around the property
its very dated and old...has a very bad smell

Excellent hosts, friendly funny and nice. The location is good, connection to the nature and the beutifull garden. To wake up in the morning surrounded with the nature and french ambience is enough reason for visiting Château de Miromesnil.
Like Goldilocks said "The bed is too hard" and not for our backs.

Walled garden and the chateau - must cost a fortune to upkeep so not surprised a little faded on the exterior

Wonderful stay and amazing breakfast which included freshly squeezed orange juice. Host was friendly and late arrival was no problem. Lovely to walk around in the garden the morning after. Would stay again.

Wow wow wow. Absolutely stunning château. Gardens and grounds beautiful.
All fantastic.

There are good hotels and excellent ones and then there are guest rooms in splendid buildings and homes and then there are guest rooms in breathtaking châteaux run by people with a keen eye for detail and the Chateau de Miromesnil is a shining example of this last genre, setting vertiginous standards for others.
The château itself is is simply very very beautiful in its setting and in itself. The room we’d booked was the chambre du colonel which is accessed via a side door on the front façade, up a creaky staircase, past a corridor with travel cases from a bygone era stacked up on one side before you enter this room from a very distant past.
The room has what the French would call belle volume, that is to say it is enormous with a high ceiling. The wallpaper has a touch of chinoiserie with its yellow background with red blossoms. The quality of the furnishings and bedding is high, there is a working fire with a sofa and chairs in front of it and a bed that promises the deep slumber you crave.
There is a cast iron bath into which you empty the high end bath products offered to you and a generous basin that is well lit.
Breakfast is again exemplarary- on the surface it is but a continental offering but when you consider the delicious viennoiserie, the coffee, the Elle et Vire butter, it typifies the quality of the ingredients needing nothing more to make the meal a good one. Although there are high end jams in jars, head for the home made confitures- we had apricot and rhubarb jams, both tasting of baskets of fruit and summer days.
We were greeted by a very friendly man, a woman and two lovely dogs. They were probably the owners and a big bravo to them for the success that the place seems to enjoy. We will return and stay for longer than the single night we had, the place deserves longer sojourns to feed the soul. I haven’t mentioned the gardens but will add photos to show how thorough the owners are in their upkeep of this treasur
it is not often you come across little cracks in the paintwork or other details where they ADD to the ambiance, reminding you if the age and history of the place. Not a fault at all but a feature.
Il n'est pas fréquent de rencontrer des petites fissures dans la peinture ou d'autres détails qui ajoutent à l'ambiance, vous rappelant l'âge et l'histoire du lieu. Ce n'est pas du tout un défaut, mais une caractéristique.

The castle is very well maintained. Such a peaceful place with an amazing vegetable patch and gardens. At the same time, the room had all the amenities you’d expect and was as warm as needed. It is more like a studio apartment than a room with plenty of space. A delicious breakfast to start day visits and very friendly hosts made it a perfect stay. Castle visit included.
Nothing to report here.

Not a big deal but bathroom could have been warmer.

It was a wonderful adventure for us to live in the château tower overlooking the spring garden. Very comfortable bed. Everything is very high quality and well thought out.
Special thanks to the hosts for their hospitality and advice: Mémorial de Caen, Honfleur, and the restaurant on the first night were a gems of our trip :))

Cozy and authentic environment, the staff was super friendly.
As there a garden and farm, I would recommend to consider a bit more explicit breakfast, including an egg and piece of cheese, for example. There were no dishes in the room, but the cups were not able to spoil a good wine and the corkscrew was found in the car :)
Overall - really lovely place - hardly recommended to wake up at the house were Guy de Maupassant was born :)

It was lovely to stay in a beautiful ‘family owned’ traditional chateau. The owners Nathalie & Jean Christophe were very welcoming & friendly & we enjoyed talking to them. Our room ‘le nid, was on the top floor & had the most spectacular views of the front & back gardens. The room was very clean, comfortable with a nice bathroom & walk in shower. Breakfast was traditional continental with choice of hot drinks. I suggest you stay for the tour of the chateau (free for guests) it was so informative & great to know the history of where we were staying.
We had a lovely 2 night stay & would highly recommend. One tip, as it’s a rural B & B & obviously doesn’t offer evening meals, book your restaurant in advance as a lot of restaurants are closed mid week or booked up.
Nothing, we had a great stay. Thank you Nathalie & Jean Christophe.

The setting is beautiful but the Atelier (which we rented) is completely separate and isolated from the castle. Its primary means of heating is a wood-burning stove, the smell of which (along with associated particles for those who are allergic) permeates the entire property, even in summer. This may be a plus for you or it may be a minus. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, but you are miles from anywhere if you need to go food shopping.
As the property is completely isolated in the woods, half a kilometer from the castle and in the middle of a large cow pasture, it has NO internet. No Wifi, no nothing. There is a TV but it only gets basic French satellite package, which means no English speaking channels other than Sky News. Because of the remoteness, there is also very little phone reception. So it is a great place to completely disconnect from online activity. For those of us who need that connection, it is a problem.

Extremely nice facilities and wonderful host! The setting was beyond amazing and it’s close to the beach and all facilities needed.

An absolute Gem, we felt like Kings. Despite a rainy day this place made it worth the trip. The Chateau is stunning, the owners are warm and welcoming. A must see!
There is nothing to not like about this place

On arrival the welcome was less than basic. We had no view from our room situated on the 2 nd floor . Breakfast was served in our room … although breakfast was very good.
The beautiful environment a pity that there was not much view from the room except if standing up in the high windows

This is the real Chateau with a rich historical background, authentic and cozy. 100% recommended for stay and for a daytime visit.

The chateau is superbly located and the vegetable garden and the park are just a sight for sore eyes. Well-tended, with so many different varieties of vegetables and flowers. The chateau in itself was full of pleasant surprises, such as the scrumptious breakfast, the cleans bathroom, the very comfortable bed. The host was very helpful as well.

Glorious building, incredibly beautiful. Lovely breakfast and super friendly staff.
The general upkeep of common areas was a bit average, and there was no use of living room / other beautiful rooms. I think there's opportunity to make this location spectacular.

The silence in nature
NOTHING :) all was great
