abendteuerliche Anreise, urige Zimmer, tolle Aussicht beim Esssen

The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were extremely helpful & friendly in every way. The decor is rustic & beautiful! It reflects the environment well. BEAUTIFUL views too!
I loved everything & especially the staff & the food! I can only suggest maybe they can get some of those small fan units that spray a cooling mist-for the nights when it was very hot.

Everything was top notch. Most amazing place I’ve ever stayed in my life.
Loved absolutely everything!

Very beautiful and quiet place! Within the jungle, with beautiful trees and flowers, monkeys, different birds and reptiles around. Lake in front with friendly crocodiles. The food was wonderful!! I would love to return one day!!!

Aguila de Osa is a wonderful inn overlooking Drake Bay. I enjoy traveling to lesser-traveled placed, and the effort of getting here made the experience even more special. The staff is extraordinary, food delicious, and the company of travelers during dinner made for lively dinner conversation.
I appreciated the effort required, but this is not for the physically challenged. Many steps are required to get to the rooms and beaches. Additional outside seating/lounging areas would be helpful.

We did a lot of extracurricular activities and they were always able to accommodate early breakfasts.
I can't think of anything that I really didn't like. Everyone was nice, we truly wanted a getaway experience with lots of wildlife and hikes and swimming and we got all of that.

Águila de Osa Rainforest Lodge captured the essence of Pura Vida living. It is constructed with natural materials in a lush rainforest setting, creating an immensely relaxing atmosphere. The food was fresh, healthy and prepared in an enticing way and was served by staff who knew our names! There were activities offered from the Lodge led with expertise at the highest level.

No ac, food was very very very limited and sub par and very overpriced

The staff are absolutely incredible. The food is 5 star and the surroundings are incomparable. our room was spacious, the private deck was such a peaceful luxury and the tours and guides were exceptional.
Nothing I didn’t like. There are a lot of stairs for those that might find that challenging

Food was too expensive! Not a place to go hiking during even a light rainy season.

Everything, but especially the service and how friendly the staff was. The food is great, Stephanie and Cristina at the front desk are amazing.
There was nothing I didn't like. The service was superior.

Food was excellent; the staff were amazing; and the excursions were well-planned. The accommodations were extremely clean and comfortable and the setting was beautiful. Would love to have stayed longer than we did.

The Osa is a spectacular area to stay, and the Aguila de Osa is a semi-rustic but wonderful resort. This is the “real” Costa Rica—a little rough around the edges, but a warm and friendly tropical paradise.
I don’t tolerate heat particularly well, and so sleeping with open windows, no A/C is a challenge for me. Beaches are scenic, but I wouldn’t make it a reason to go here.

Location
Rooms are far too noisy.
What they call the private hotel boat (at $170 plus tax for 2) shuttle service is not private, it is a shared boat ride with people from other hotels. On the way in we were put on a public service with 40 others because the owner of the hotel was arriving later and needed the hotel boat, which meant we would otherwise have to wait for him. In our book the client goes first!

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds are immaculate. The food is delicious. The staff is awesome. They have kayaks that you can use to paddle up the inlets or take out to the ocean.
There isn’t a pool or a beach in front of the resort, but there’s a nice beach about 15 minutes down the path.

The staff was out of this world! Rebecca & Albert were attentive and so sweet. They really made the stay.
I felt that housekeeping could have been better. It seemed to be approached with just the bare minimum. I don't think the floors to the room were mopped the whole time we were there.

Stayed for five nights with my son - very pretty location close to the tiny little town, started by Brad Johnson (no relation!) 27 years ago and built up over time using local materials in total sympathy to its environment. Three delicious meals a day prepared by their excellent chef using local ingredients - meals are seated ‘family style’ whereby guests sit on a few big tables. This was a little unnerving at first but turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay as we met lots of interesting people from different countries - many fascinating discussions and debates were held during our stay! We went primarily for the diving which was led outstandingly by Kike, the dive master, who was very safety conscious, friendly, energetic and knowledgable. The visibility was great and we saw many, many varieties of fish, coral and turtles, including a 6m whale shark! If you want to explore this pretty and remote part of the Costa Rican Pacific coast, then I can’t think there’s a better place from which to do it. Thanks team!
The proper (barista type) coffee machine was broken!!!
