Eigenständiges Boutique-Hotel am Rand der Stadt

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums und deswegen vergleichsweise ruhig und etwas besser als die anderen großen Hotels. Man merkt, dass es privat geführt (wurde?) wird , viele nette Ecken mit Pflanzen und Fotos auf den Gängen. Das Restaurant als eines der besten in der Stadt hat seine Erwartungen erfüllt.

Die Zimmer liegen leider alle an Durchgängen und Türen und Fenster schließen nicht wirklich gut. Betten wackelten und quietschten. Das Personal im Restaurant könnte ein bisschen freundlicher sein!

Nice place to stay on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle of downtown San Jose.

The room was clean and spacious. The drinks and snacks in the mini fridge were free. They provided fresh fruit upon arrival and one other day. It was nice having a little patio to look out upon, but it was small and we didn't use it. Also, the architecture and the history of the building was very interesting. It added an elegant and mysterious touch.

I didn't like that breakfast wasn't included. There was a restaurant on site, but it was a bit on the expensive side. We ate there for dinner one night and it was wonderful, but I'd prefer not to splurge on breakfast. The bathroom also needed to have more counter space.

Superb

Spectacular stay at this jewel in the heart of San Jose. I stayed in 3 rooms across 8 days in between travels around Costa Rica, and felt incredibly happy with all of them. Great food, lovely restaurant, and warm hospitality is tops!

The best hotel in San Jose!

Beautiful hotel and restaurant in close proximity to the airport - which made it the perfect spot for us the night before our flight. The hotel is beautifully decorated and feels serene amongst the hustle and bustle of San Jose. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms are decorated to a high spec and super clean.

Exceptional

Beautiful hotel, the food was really good both for dinner and breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive to my special request (honeymoon). Free parking included, there was even people waiting for us with umbrellas as it was raining when we arrived. I can't speak about the location as we didn't go out that much due to the weather. It took us about 15min drive from the airport to reach the hotel. We couldn't use the rooftop jacuzzi but the terrasse is beautiful. Totally recommend this hotel!

If I really have to find something, I would say the isolation could be a bit better. Maybe it was because our room was near the elevator so there was quite some traffic, but we could hear very clearly people talking in front of our door. It didn't held us back from sleeping but the first time it was a bit confusing because it was almost like people were with us in the room.

We would come back here. Loved it!!

Very unique hotel that makes you feel the comforts of home while away. Excellent staff that catered to every need. Beautiful decor and love all the plants and flowers.

Lots of stairs depending what room you have. Wish there had been a pool. Being from America, I wish the TV’s had English closed caption.

Very good

The hotel has a real traditional feeling to it with beautiful courtyards. It's conveniently located in the centre of San Jose. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel as we were just transferring through San Jose and the food on both occasions was excellent.

The hotel is a short walk to the museums and other sight and sounds of San Jose. The restaurant and bar is lovely. The room was clean and comfy. The staff at the reception were quite helpful and friendly.

we arrived late, the rooms were gorgeous, the staff were charming, the whole place felt so Christmassy, hotel has a wond

it has an old world charm - which I wanted for our first night - it was also so Christmassy and charming - poinsettias planted all around the hotel and beautiful stockings on every door

we arrived at 10pm and there was nothing to eat which was a shame, and we leave at 6.30am which was sad not to eat at any point, in their beautiful dining areas

A stunningly converted pair of colonial mansions, the way the Grano De Oro blends indoor and outdoor spaces is really wonderful. Innovative layout, characterful style.

Superb

Very charming and well-kept hotel. Particularly liked the patio with fountain. Parking was just across in a secure 24h access lot.

Location was ok, a few restaurants within walking distance but not necessarily a neighborhood you want to stroll around for hours alone at night.

Highly recommend it

An oasis of comfort. The staff could not have been nicer. Almost immediately, everyone knew my name, they knew what room number I was in, I felt like all the pleasures and comforts were at my fingertips.

Beautiful hotel in a convenient location. Friendly staff and free snacks in the room.

Beautiful building with a grand entrance. Staff was very friendly and check-in was quick and easy. Really appreciate having parking on site. Extra bonus having the free snacks in the mini-fridge.

Room was a little small. Jacuzzi was closed for maintenance.

A great stylish hotel. Excellent service and restaurant. I highly recommend it,

Excellent breakfast of special dishes. Loved the huevos rancheros and the Tico eggs. Fresh fruit juices a great coffee. No bread on the table ( I missed it, but it was healthier!)

Fantastic!

Amazing hotel tucked away from the busy touristy area yet close to them and central. Grano is a former townhouse full of history. The bar and restaurant are gorgeous with a Gatsby flair. The hotel managers and personnel are graceful, helpful and highly professional. All and all a great experience. We will come back anytime

Perfect oasis in the middle of San Jose.

The staff was wonderful, the ambiance was great, received a complimentary room upgrade, and the mini bar is free!

There isn’t a pool, but there are two nice jacuzzis.
