Super persoonlijk en gezellig verblijf

De eigenaren zijn zo vriendelijk en stellen je op je gemak. Ze zijn zo gastvrij en oprecht zodat je ook de Japanse cultuur goed meekrijgt. Het voelde als een homestay! Nogmaals bedankt voor de fijne tijd! Daarnaast mag je gebruik maken van de eet en zitruimte beneden wat erg prettig was!

Matras erg hard, de kamers zijn basic maar wel schoon.

Hotel with a good vibe!

I wanted to snorkel around Kabira and I am glad I picked Lulaliya! Host Halu and staff Kousuke and Satoshi are friendly and want you to have a good time. Lodge is well located in town with walking distance to great restaurants, diving shop and the Kabira Bay. Hotel also has a restaurant so you can eat there if you feel like staying put after a long day. Had a great time!

Exceptional

The staff is amazing and makes all the difference for this nice accommodation. Also the restaurant is very good. A lot of restaurants near by and easy to walk to both sides of the bay, eg to Seaside Hotel and watching the sunset. Will definitely come again…

Absolutely recommended!

Simple but suitable accommodation, especially considering the price. Friendliest stuff I ever experienced! They did everthing to make my stay comfortable. I was even said to leave :/ P.S.: They also cook and the Ramen is phenomenal!

Simple, but great!

The staff is super friendly and always there to assist you. They make you feel at home. Rooms are simple, but much larger than many other rooms in Japan which usually very tiny. The location is perfect in a small town of Kabira Bay. Great beaches close by.

Breakfast options do not include any western dishes or plates. But this was not an issue, there was a great cafe close by with pancakes, açai bowls, eggs etc.

Very nice place, the owners are very kind and try to help as much as possible. I liked kabira, but its remote and there are only a couple of buses per day. The owners looked very well after me. Unfortunately we couldn't communicate that much, because I can't speak any japanese. They do speak some Englisch. The food was really good. Thanks for your hospitality

Lovely time despite the weather

The team are wonderful people. The location is close to bus stop, kabira bay and restaurant. I recommend the amazing breakfast.

LULALIYA is well run by a wonderful family and staff. They are all super kind and friendly. All needs are simply filled and enough, not in excess. The rooms are spotlessly clean! They have an awesome rooftop viewing area. There is a cute little breakfast room and patio that later serves as a ramen dining area. They serve a lovely breakfast plate. The Ramen and fried fish were delicious as well! Lulaliya is 1 minute away from the bus stop and some delicious restaurants. The Kabira bay, glass bottom boat area is a 2 minutes walk. If you enjoy places with personality and warmth this is the place for you. If you want a beachy, family oriented, youthful spot to hang for a while, this is the spot for you. If you are an independant traveler that wants to experience things on their own terms with a little local guidance pointing you in the right directions, this is the place for you. Whatever you do enjoy and embrass the experiences that the Island offers. Kanpai!

Very good time at Lulaliya, I can definitely recommend and I will come again if I visit Ishigaki.

Room offered everything we looked for - air condition, balcony, bathroom. Everything was very tidy and very clean. Very good location, 2 min to the Kabira Bay, close to restaurants. Staff was very kind and friendly, very good atmosphere in evenings, very good catering.

13/10 would recommend!

The staff were all super and it was really close to the bay (like less than a five minute walk)! The food was good; it was a little expensive, but that’s on par with what food costs on the island. The staff had lots of recommendations for us and we liked how homey and kind everyone was.

It is a little far from the city and other places to eat, but that can also be a bonus as the drive is BEAUTIFUL!

Incredibly friendly hosts and proximity to Kabira Bay made our stay very enjoyable!

The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating! The location is only a 5-minute walk to Kabira Bay and the rest of the island can be easily explored by car. Our room was simple, clean, and comfortable and made a great home base during our stay.

Unfortunately, breakfast was not offered during our stay, but there is a nearby cafe and bakery that were both wonderful alternate options. We would also recommend making reservations for dinner at nearby restaurants in advance.

Such a lovely place!!!

The hotel is so lovely and the staff beyond adorable, there was a typhoon ans they got me some food from the supermarket bc we couldn't go outside! The place itself is so cozy and will make anyone feel like home. I definitely recommend!!

Relaxing place to stay

Great location. Near Kabira beach and many shops and restaurants. It was also near the bus stop, so it was really easy to find. The rooms were not too big, but just enough to relax in after a long day at the beach. The highlight of the property was the friendly staff. They were very accommodating; they showed us good places to eat and swim, and even drove us to a scenic spot to watch the sunset.

Love this spot steps from Kabira Bay

The staff and the location are 10/10. I loved being able to walk to the beach whenever I wanted. The staff were lovely hosts, making sure I was having a good time on the island. Mayumi san makes amazing breakfast!

It’s true, the beds are a bit hard. I slept fine nonetheless.

Great host in a charming hotel at enchanting location

The first thing that stands out about Lulaliya is its proximity to Ishigaki’s famous Kabira Bay: it’s less than a five minutes’ walk from the landmark, and that alone makes it worthwhile to book. However, it offers so much more! I stayed three nights with a friend, and we found that it was a perfect place to kick up our heels while staying on Ishigaki. The rooms are cozy and well-furnished, and have everything you might want. On the first floor, there is a spacious café/eating area. Here, you can enjoy the house breakfast (for an extra fee), or even buy breakfast from another place (the nearby bakery, for instance) and bring it back. You can also use it in the evening as a lounge if you’d like to hang out, but don’t want to stay in your room. My friend and I ate birthday cake there! Hot water for tea/coffee and cold water for drinking are available around the clock. The proprietor, Aya, is very friendly, has excellent English, and can help you book any tours you may want. She booked us a wonderful all-day snorkeling/kayaking tour, and helped us shape our days on the island. She was a delight to talk to, and could help us hammer out our plans at the drop of a hat. She’ll introduce you to the nearby restaurants and their hours, which is good—every day, there’s at least one place that’s closed, so it’s good to be careful of. The hotel is also very close to the bus stop, which is another bonus: Ishigaki doesn’t have too many buses, but the Kabira Bay hub is one of the ones where more of them come and go from. We found Lulaliya a great base of operations, and I would stay again in a heartbeat.
