Great position with a fantastic pool

In a good position close to the beach and a short walk into Rethymno. The pool is very big and gets the sun for most of the day. The hotel is recently refurbished and looks very nice. The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom and balcony. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There are a lot of fully inclusive guests so the bar and pool area can be busy at times. They charge 2 € per day for a safety deposit box and 9€ per day if you are not all inclusive , for a sun bed on the beach. Other areas of the beach the bed is free with a drink order. It was not possible to book room only which seems odd as we had a kitchenette and would prefer to stay in for breakfast.

De locatie van het hotel is erg goed. Dichtbij het strand met een supermarkt heel dichtbij. Het zandstrand is groot en de zee niet meteen heel diep. Goede en voldoende strandbedden en niet duur. Stukje lopen naar de oude stad maar niet heel ver. Ontbijtbuffet is prima. De spa ook.

De grootte van de kamers viel tegen, ook de badkamer niet erg groot. Wel een groot balkon. Het zwembad is klein in verhouding met de grootte van het hotel en ook het aantal ligbedden is wat beperkt. Rustig baantjes trekken is er niet bij door het vrij grote aantal kinderen in het hoogseizoen. Al vroeg ligt op elk bed een handdoek, terwijl er maar enkele gasten zijn. De rest zit waarschijnlijk rustig te ontbijten en zijn zo verzekerd van stoelen, want er wordt niets aan gedaan. Wij hadden geen kleine kinderen dus hadden hiervan geen last. Op zich een prima hotel maar wij vonden het wel duur, ook al was het hoogseizoen.

Clean, comfortable and fully equipped room. Excellent location, close to the beach and to the old town centre, still quiet.

No parking provided and is really hard to find a parking space close to the hotel. However, the is the municipal parking at the port area close to the hotel at a reasonable price.

Everything was just perfect at the hotel. Starting from location, friendliness and professionalism of the staff to the cleanliness. There is absolutely not a thing that is missing. We had a wonderful stay.

Very good

Great location, 2 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the "old city". Clean, spacious rooms and public places. Polite staff.

I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the breakfast, e.g. jam and honey or croissants and other pastries could had been of better quality.

Relaxing Rethymnon

I liked the size of the room - having a separate sitting area and kitchenette was fantastic and the balcony for hanging out things to dry. The location was also brilliant for getting into the old town quickly.

Superb

The hotel is located 3 min walk from the beach. The Old town is in close access by foot. Breakfasts and dinners are fabulous, very tasty and divers over the stay. Rooms are large and clean. In every room there is a small kitchen with all necessary stuff. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in this place. Recommended for families.

All in all, a good hotel in a good location, good value for money

The location was excellent. Close to the beach, many restaurants nearby and not far from the old town. Nice hotel all in all - friendly staff, nice pool area, good breakfast.

The pool was supposed to be heated in October, but it wasn't. It was a shame, especially for the children and because the weather was not very good during our stay.

Very nice hotel 👍

We liked everything :) The location is perfect, near the beach and downtown. The food and the eating area are nice, the staff was very friendly. The pool had heating and there were enough sun-beds. Different entertainments almost every night, but if you don’t want to be part of it, you will not be bothered by it. We had the best time in this hotel :)

The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that you have to buy all drinks, even water (2.20 € a bottle every night) at dinner time. It would be more convenient if water would be included or added to the price of the dinner. Although the service was quick, it was still little bit uncomfortable. And be aware when you rent a car, finding a parking spot every day is a challenge 😀

A well run, clean and modern hotel, would like to return.

Great location, lovely staff, really clean pool area, handy kids playground, reasonably priced food and drinks, comfortable beds, handy kitchenette.

Charging to store luggage and charging for use of a safe in your room. Both unreasonable in my opinion, I have never experienced this in a hotel before.

The hotel was in an excellent location just 1 street back from the beach and only a 10 minute walk to the old town. We had a smart executive room which was huge and very modern. The king size bed was very comfortable as well. The pool bar was very good for food and drinks.

We were there for 10 nights and after about maybe 5 or 6 days I was getting a bit bored with the Breakfast but there was a lot of choice but maybe more suited to other nationalities

the charges for the safe box seemed unnecessary. Too many kids pool toys in the pool made it crowded some times

We hired a car but off street parking was difficult. Car parks expensive . Hunting round for somewhere to park the car was a pain so we did not use the car very much thus it was a waste of money

Excellent in every way

Half board was very good value and the choice of food offered was excellent All the staff were helpful and pleasant and the lady who seats you for meals was very warm and welcoming. We'd asked for a room in a quiet location, which we were given, so we were grateful for the good rest we had and the comfortable bed. The welcoming fruit basket and bottle of wine that greeted us in our room. The pool was lovely and the provision of sufficient sunbeds/loungechairs for all (there are extras just ask)

Actually, out of the 12 hotels my husband and I stayed in on our month+ trip exploring 8 islands this was the best all round hotel for comfort, facilities, food and price of all (even competing with a 5*)

Taking everything into account, a reasonably good hotel to stay in Rethymno, but with reservations.

Location of the hotel was very good, very close to the beach and a short stroll to the Old Town. Room size was larger than expected, and kitchenette facilities were good. Staff were very friendly (apart from one, see negative comments). Varied selection of breakfast items were available.

Air conditioning was fixed at a temperature of 24C in every room in the hotel - totally useless IMHO, especially during the hotter months. Complained to the hotel manager who said he would see if it could be lowered by a degree or 2, but this didn't happen. Probably a cost saving device. If you need good quality, adjustable air conditioning in your room then you would be better off looking elsewhere. Hot breakfast items, although plentiful, were invariably cold by the time you got back to your table (fried eggs in particular). The hotel beach is shared with the Bio Suites sister hotel, Bio Beach, and if you need facilities (toilets, drinks etc.) while on the beach, you could use the Bio Beach hotel. However, the small pool is out of bounds to Bio Suites guests. I asked at the Bio Suites reception if we could use the pool (which by the way, was always empty), and they checked with the Bio Beach hotel, who said yes we could. However, the next day, I had a call from the Bio Suites manager to go and see him. I was in no uncertain terms told off like a little schoolboy for using the Bio Beach pool and was told not to use it again - how petty can you get ! I explained that I had asked permission before using the pool, but the manager was rather terse in his responses, but did admit it was the hotels fault. Extra charge to use the hotel sauna, which is part of the facilities. I can understand why extra charges apply for spa treatments, but to use the sauna ?? And a 2 Euro per day charge to use the safe in the room. Does it cost any extra for the hotel to give you that benefit free of charge ? Of course not, so why charge for it. Next thing they could do is charge to use the TV in the room. Same sort of idea.

Great location and staff with comfortable room

Very nice and comfortable room. Good location - about 13 mins walk from the beautiful old town and just a few mins from the beach. Exceptional staff - friendly and helpful. Good selection of decent food but maybe slightly monotonous - we had HB option.

Very cold water in the swimming pool. Pool opened only till 6 pm.

great stay and good value for money

it was a kind of crowded when we served the breakfast in the morning but the personnel was trained and they managed to allocate the seats very fast

Very clean, medium size hotel with all the quality services.

The room was spacious and in a quiet spot as requested, the staff was really warm, professional and helpful, assisting us with whatever was needed and gave good tips around the city. Prepare to have QR reader in your phone for the check-in (filling your info) and for the full menu at the restaurant. The breakfast and dinner were really good with huge variety of food and choices. The beach itself is just a block away from the hotel, including all the tavernas, restaurants and cafeterias by the sidewalk.

Due Covid the bath facilities (sauna, jacuzzi etc.) were not available, and for our short stay we couldn't book massage in beforehands because of the lack of info.

The comfy stay to city centre

There’s lots of restaurants and life around but in the room itself it’s completely quiet. The place is very clean and comfortable and has everything you might need. I️ would 100% recommend a stay here. Breakfast was quite good as well! See y next year 🥂
