A pleasant stay close to shops and grand place.

Rooms were clean. Nice to have a lift. Nice breakfast provided. Good location for shops and old part of Brussels.

Some updating needs to be done to decor. Pillows were very uncomfortable.

City stay

Close to transport,shopping and supermarket. A well furnished, large spotlessly clean room that was serviced daily. A good breakfast was included.

Unfortunately it is on a busy road so traffic noise was a problem so one needs to ask for a room off the street. The bed was terrible, a foam mattress, really uncomfortable.

Hotel antiguo cerca del centro y conexiones de tren.

Personal amable. El desayuno muy variado. El centro está relativamente cerca. Muy cerca está la estación principal de tren y en la misma puerta el metro.

La antigüedad del hotel. Necesita una buena reforma integral. La ventana de la habitación apenas cerraba y se escuchaba el tráfico de la calle.

Bonne surprise.

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter le centre de Bruxelles. Petit déjeuner très apprécié.

Comme indiqué dans les différents avis tres bruyant car hotel sur grand boulevard. Hotel qui mériterait cependant un petit rafraîchissement pour le mettre au goût du jour.

Für 2 Nächte okay. Bei längerem oder nächsten Aufenthalt gerne eine modernere Unterkunft.

Zimmer und Bad waren sauber. Wasserkocher, Tee und Kaffee. Minibar und Gläser. Lage ist gut. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Direkte Metrolinie vom/ zum Gare du Midi.

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Alte Möbel, Teppichboden. Wirkt altbacken. Fön im Bad ist ein Witz. Die Fenster waren derart schmutzig, dass man kaum rausgucken konnte. Das Frühstücksbuffet war unteres Niveau. Nicht mal Croissants und Baguette schmeckten. Aufschnitt und 1 Sorte Käse aus der Packung. Rührei ohne jeden Geschmack. Wo war die gute belgische Küche??

It was surprisingly pleasant after an initial misjudgment. A place from the past. I would stay there again.

It is a hotel from the past- like a great aunt who shows up at a family dinner. Slightly worn, dated furnishings. But clean and. Comfortable and a very good value in Brussels.

It is in a noisy place. Sirens, street noise. But it’s in the midsts of Brussels. It is what it is. Not an issue.

Pleasant stay near the city center

The property was near the train station and the staff was very friendly.

The room was pretty dated and the wifi did not work well. There was also not a way to lock the door from the inside. As a solo traveler I would have felt safer being able to lock the door from the inside.

Fantastic and pleasant stay

Very kind and helpful staff. Nicely clean room. Perfect location and delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!!

Superb

Breakfast was ok. Location is good. I like the view from our room, I felt relax looking into it while having a coffee after a long day of walking around the neighborhood.

It could be better if they will provide/check if there is at least 4 sachets of instant coffee in the room.

good location, just near a metro station. Friendly staff: we had a problem with the heating system of the room and they immediately gave us another larger and more confortable room

it's an old building (dated 1902) and it really need to be renewed: for example there no electric plugs near the bed and you cannot recharge the phone on the night stand. Boulevard du Jardin Botanique is main road with a lot of traffic, also during the night quite noisy.

Would Definitely Return

Very pleasant staff. Loved the retro feel of the hotel. Big selection for breakfast. Great location.

Limited tv channels and elevator was temperamental, luckily there was a second elevator. The restaurant area seemed to be closed apart from breakfast time. I may have had a few drinks there.

The old style hotel vibe was excellent for Brussels. We will definitely return!

There is no tap to buy vending. There are not many choices in the vending machine.
