Avoid and look for something else.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel has been far from satisfactory. There have been ongoing noises in the hallway, including frequent door slamming and loud conversations. These disturbances have been particularly disruptive late at night, with guests showing no consideration for the time and the need for others to sleep. The noise continued well past midnight and till around 2AM, making it impossible for me to rest.

Nearly got Divorced!

Nothing! With a Capital N

When we turned up the place was like a building site outside with a big hole (boarded up) and a hole in the roof sheeted up. Walked in Gary was polite. Walked up to our room, carpet minging, wife wouldn't touch hand rails and outdated everywhere. Shown our room, like a sauna, window doesn't open and if you had a cat you would not try to seeing it! Didn't even unpack. Left suitcase on bed and went for a walk to clear head. Wife and I didn't speak and when we got to a bar sat with a beer. My wife was close to tears at the thought of staying there and was going to just leave and go home. This is not the romantic night we had planned as we don't get many and this was beyond ruined. Went back on Booking.com and had a look at another place. Went to look at The Royal Bar & Shaker to see if we could look at the room they had on there. Was 120% better, so much so we booked in there. Walked straight up to get my case for The Clifton with the wife, posted key in the box and left. Went back to The Royal Bar & Shaker and was blown away by the bar, room and also the Breakfast in the morning. Very polite staff and owner who couldn't do enough for us. Never again will we set foot back in The Clifton and if we could get our money back I would like to know how. This place nearly ended up in me getting a divorce! The Royal Bar & Shaker saved the who night away and my marriage. You need to give this place a 10/10 rating!

Never again.

Stuff was ok. Breakfast just fine.

The owner behaved unprofessionally. One of the rooms was so small, no room for anything. He tried to hide it. He would not let the occupants to visit other rooms. The hotel should not have been opened before renovation.

Devastated they have not taken adequate care of my motorcycle. Now we are stuck 300 miles from home

My motorcycle has been stolen from the patio of this property last night 02/06 The property claims to have 24 hour security and cctv. In fact it has neither. Another motorcycle was also stolen from this property last night. Do not leave your motorcycle here. There was no mention of leaving it at my own risk. It was clear that they had adequate security as mentioned on the website

Seafront view and friendly staff

The owners were great - super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. We had a sea front room so the view was great. The room was clean and bright.

It's an old building so there is basically no sound proofing between rooms. We could hear when the guests next to us went to the bathroom. However, we bought ear plugs for the second night and it sorted the issue.

Value for money, but book direct with hotel.

All of the hospitality trade has suffered the last 4 years, and I find it difficult to be critical of his industry. I found this place to be ideal and well suited for my purpose. It was clean ,the food at breakfast was great, and the views from the hotel were superb. All staff we're friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to sort out,in advance a problem I had with my booking via your website. I will be back.

Sites like booking.com stitching these places up. I ordered and paid for a sea view via your site, and only by chance I found out you had conned me with a non sea view. Appalling behaviour that can result in negative reviews for hotels like this, which they can well do without . But then companies like yours simply don't care. I will be back, but I book directly with the hotel.

Absolutely fabulous. With the added bonus of the Baylight festival. Great value for money.

The sea view and sunset was brilliant. Staff very friendly and gave advice on places to visit. Exceptional value for money. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff were very efficient. King size bed very comfortable and plenty of welcome refreshments (tea and coffee) in the room. Really enjoyed our stay here with plenty of places nearby to visit and explore. Will definitely be returning. Close to shops and pubs, which sold great value food if eating out.

Lovely night away with friends

Clean, tidy and large room with lovely seaview. Breakfast in a bright and airy dining room, with plenty of choice, buffet breakfast.

All was great, if bring picky, fried eggs at breakfast and not jumbo sausages, scrambled egg was good though.

Kleines Hotel in schöner Lage

Freundliches Personal, schönes Zimmer , gutes Frühstück , der Ausblick auf das Meer beim Frühstück

Als ich reinkam, war ich schon erschrocken wie runtergekommen alles war. Es wird aber renoviert und schön gemacht . Zimmer mit Blick zum Hinterhof war nicht schön 20 Pfund mehr weil wir später auschecken wollten, fand ich nicht ok.

Room over looking over the bay. Decent tea and coffee and biscuits. Sheets and towels white

Room cold no available heating. A walk to resort centre. I would not class this as hotel, more large boarding house. Did not see any other guests. Limited parking

Staycation

The staff were good and attentive

The room was at the back of the building. Not clean as should be, tv was so tiny that’s it was impossible to see from the bed. The shower toilet was not at all clean and it was an instant shower 👎. There was no parking, had to park about 10min walk for hotel. The room was so heavily scented to mask the smell of smoke which came through the scent.
