Correct mais trop cher pour ce que c’est

Très bon emplacement Personnel facilitant en vue de notre arrivée tardive Il y a l’essentiel Pour une nuit c’est satisfaisant !

Un peu cher pour la prestation…. Odeur étrange dans la chambre Chambre très exiguë Literie passable Décoration pas très élégante Environnement très mal insonorisé, on entendait le voisin ronfler (mais l’hôtel fournit les boules quies!)

very noisy from inside the hotel - could hear people on the stairs, upstairs, next door...totally unsoundproofed. Don't stay here if you want a good night's sleep. Tired decor. Much better value accommodation elsewhere in La Rochelle

great stay in a great location

Very clean, central location. The rooms and hotel has a quirky nautical and port theme, and the rooms although small, are perfect for resting your head! We stayed in 2 different rooms due to extending our stay, and we had no complaints about the external noise from the street, but earplugs are available at reception if required. The staff are brilliant too, very helpful and a great level of English speaking. The car park is a couple of minutes walk away, but it’s well lit and safe, and underground.

great little hotel, in a perfect location for mooching about the town

great central location, warm & friendly welcome from the owners, very good communication in advance.

the only slight negative was the nocturnal disturbance on our second night due to the poor (drunken) behaviour of some other guests.

We had good fun in La Rochelle, even though our visit was short.

The hotel is in a central location in the middle of the old town - just a few steps to the Vieux Port and to all the sights and bars and cafes and restaurants . The place is lovingly decorated and every nook has been put to a use. The windows are excellent quality, which is very important, as there are many bars in the streets below. With windows open it's quite loud and busy until the small hours - windows closed: no noise at all! The breakfast was good and the owner very nice and helpful.

The room was a bit on the small side and there was no lift.

La Rochelle is a beautiful city. Hotel le Bord’O Vieux Port is in a convenient position beside bars & restaurants so

The staff were exceptional. They went out of their way to help us with any questions we had about La Rochelle.

The room was so small almost no walking space around the bed. Very low bed, small bathroom and tight space for shower. It was difficult for two people to move around the room at the same time. This hotel has 3 floors with very steep stairs.

Perfect, fun, friendly city centre hotel. Recommend.

So friendly right from the beginning. This hotel is a passion and the dream of a lovely couple and it shows. Also it’s a perfect location in what could be the liveliest loveliest street in La Rochelle. Also the vibe was really fun. and the beds were comfortable and our bicycles were well looked after in a secure parking space. Thanks!

Great place for a short stay

Location was very central to the old town, bars and restaurants. All facilities available within the room. It was great for a stop over whilst travelling through. Nice continental breakfast available.

Only for fans of noise

Close to all restaurants etc, very clean, nice breakfast although corporate not homely. Aircon was great and we had a small but pleasant balcony. Bathroom was small but functional and lovely powerful shower but shower head ‘flopped’ as bracket didn’t work. Coffee available in the breakfast room all day and was very good. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

The noise! We should have realised when we found earplugs provided but even with them in our ears, the windows firmly shut and our music playing we could not get to sleep before 2am due to: very loud socialising in the nearby bars and restaurants until 2am closing not to mention the bins being emptied by the council around 1.30am and of course the long goodbyes after the bars shut. Any hope of catching up on sleep was dashed by the vans pulling up during the night, slamming doors and then early morning deliveries before the very noisy council street cleaners at 7am to 8am . Aaah!!!
