Good location and good price for Zermatt

Location of the hotel and breakfast was good as well

Very rude receptionist

The room was good and the view was nice. The breakfast was also good and diverse, there were options for vegans too with Oat milk as alternative, thought it lacked in protein.

The main receptionist that came to "greet" us was extremely rude. We had written an email asking if we can leave the car in their parking for 2 days while we hike. They said yes and we paid for that. But when we got to the hotel, the only place where we could have left the car (indicated as owned by the hotel) was the hotel's parking. So we went and parked there. The rude receptionist came to us and started scolding us that first we need to check in and only then park. However, there was nowhere else to park. The hotel was on a main road next to a roundabout so we could not leave the car on the street. There was a supermarket next to the hotel that had parking spaces available, however, we did not use the supermarket and so we did not consider parking there. There was no indication in the emails or on booking.com that we have to first check in and then park. Anyways, the man was very rude and so after we parked the car and went to reception he was EXTREMELY cold and rude, and simply did not care about us one bit. There were other people leaving the hotel there to whom he acted warmer and nicer but that was not to us. So on the next day we asked the other receptionist for his name - if I remember correctly it was Andreas. The new receptionist was his wife and she got very worried that we want to write a negative review and said that this was her husband. She also told us that they had upgraded our room so she asked us not to complain but if our room was upgraded, which we are not sure it was, we did not need the upgrade nor we knew about it. So I do not think it was an apology. If the receptionist had apologised for his behaviour and did not treat us like garbage that would have been much better. It did ruin our stay there.

Great location for Zermatt

Room was spacious, good location less than 5 minute walk to the train station and there is a supermarket (COOP) next to it which is convenient

Elevator is a bit old, sometimes shuts on you when your walking into it

Wonderful stay in the mountains

Perfect hotel away from the frantic pace of Zermatt. We were greeted with warmth and this made our stay memorable. Breakfast was more than adequate which set us up for a trek down from Gornergrat. Thank you and see you again soon.

Two night stop to visit a family member in Zermatt. Only hotel available at this time. Perfectly acceptable and well run

Excellent location and stay

excellent location if you don’t plan to stay in Zermatt this is a good alternative. right across the station, a minute walk literally. great stuff and good breakfast range

the bed frame seems to sit outside and higher than the mattress so when you sit of jump into bed you got to be careful

Large rooms with good beds (beware of the large wood frame :) ) Good restaurant available with competitive prices (good thing considering Tasch does not have a big offer) Excellent breakfast buffet Sauna and steam bath available on request

Our booking for a triple room was not secured. We've accepted a solution with an extra bed in a double room with a promise of refund which did not materialize at the end

Rooms were large and new.

The ramp to the basement car park was extremely tight. It was a very stressful experience driving out of the basement car park. Would have much preferred a hotel with a surface car park.

A good alternative to visit Zermatt

Stone throw away from Täsch train station. Affordable stay for travellers who are planning to visit Zermatt. Comfortable bed and has a balcony to enjoy the view. Very clean room as well. Very close to Migros and coop supermarkets. Our initial idea was to train in and out of Zermatt by staying in Täsch. However, we realised that one has to pre-booked train tickets online to save money on travel (8 CHF). We bought a return train ticket from Täsch at 16.8 CHF. We did not save much in the end.

For travellers with big cars: the underground carpark is very small and they costs 9 CHF per day.
