Historic Convent Studio Steps from All the Action

Privileged location and opportunity to stay in a private apartment on the rooftop of a 17th century convent with open views to various monuments. (As others have noted, there are approximately 140-150 steps up to the apartment, but all of the steps except for the last 8 are very wide and not steep. The host graciously carried my heavy suitcase up to the apartment for me upon arrival, so future guests can rest assured on that point.) Authentic old French vibe but modern conveniences and ultra clean. In summer, enjoy the gentle sound of swallows flitting about in the sky just beyond your window. Do yourself a favor and stay here instead of at the five-star hotel down the road!

beautiful fully renovated apartment with amazing views - great possibility to have breakfast on the beautiful balcony - great fully equipped kitchen, calm place with a lot of sunshine. our host gave us instructions for everything and explained his recommendations on what to visit. the apartment is right in the city center close to grocery, restaurants, bars and brunch places. still it is calm as it is high „above the roofs“. i would anytime come back here. or even live here.😀

hmm hard to say anything. it was perfect. maybe the only thing is that you have to buy shower gel and shampoo - but there is a shop just 50 meters away! and maybe it is more hygienic then use a common one

Great for relaxing after work or as a base for couples to explore Lyon.

Everything about this place is excellent, not only it has forthcoming and responsive hosts, but it also has an efficient and comfortable interior design. It was very clean on arrival. The location is perfect (in the city and above it!). All that for a reasonable price. The only possible downside (due to the historical nature of the building) is reduced accessibility if you have a mobility handicap. Otherwise, I cannot recommend this place enough!

Superb

Perfect location, right in the soul of Lyon. Restaurants, cafes, convieninace stores, even a secure bag drop spot with 100meters. The underground is 300m along the cobbled streets, its so amazing just the walk there. Around the corner is the River. There is a market on Sundays along the river. Upon arriving Michael took the time to go over the apartment, transport, restaurants and things to do in the area. All very good and useful info. Loved the apartment, quiet and with a great vista across the roofs and up to the Basillica. I used a combination of Uber, underground and trams for my stay of 6 nights.

The final set of stairs were very steep. So if you have bulky suitcases or have had a few vino's, take it slowly. I guess its all part of the authenticity of the place!

It was a great stay with a warm and helpful host!

This loft in the skies is located in the middle of everything while surprisingly quiet. The apartment had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen and washing machine. Overall great experience!

You’re literally on the roof, so be prepared to climb 5 flight of stairs.

If you are going to Lyon this place is exceptional. I highly recommend.

This is a jewel of an apartment in the Lyon sky. I highly recommend this place if you want quiet, and privacy. The kitchen and bathroom are beautiful and well designed. *My only caveat is if you have a hard time climbing stairs, this is not the place for you.*

Highly recommended!

The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and was in a fantastic location for exploring the beautiful city of Lyon. Michael, our host, was extremely friendly, and all communication with him and Julie was prompt and polite. They were extremely accommodating in letting us check in early and check out late, and we found their recommendations and the information in the apartment very helpful. We could not have wished for a better experience.

Great place to stay in a 17th century building giving you a real feel for for the city of Lyon.

Location great, Michael the host very accommodating, made us feel welcome and provided us with local information. Quiet, clean and safe. Close to cafes, bars, Bouchons and transport. Highly recommended.

The stairs were a bit daunting, but not impossible.

Excellent stay in Lyon overall. Feel like a local in the apartment. Pack light !

Location was perfect in center of Lyon. Michael the host supported us in many ways including carting our suitcases up the 5 flights of stairs, printing our train tickets among other things. The loft is tiny but well organized with attention to details. Incredible views

We knew about the stairs when we booked but they were daunting with our suitcases
