This is not an 8. It was a beautiful area, not a great resort.

The facility was beautiful and the grounds well kept. The staff was kind and helpful. The location was great and convenient. Our room was comfortable and the balcony views beautiful. The lobby was impressive.

The food was average at best. We had two good meals, one at Panchos and the other at Zai. There was poor organization for the snack bar that had hamburgers and nachos. Many times there were long lines and food items would run out. There were not enough lounging chairs for all the guests. If you did not secure a chair by 6:30AM, you were out of luck until late afternoon. The adult pool was slippery on the steps and bottom. This normally indicates the pool needs cleaning. The swim up pool bar was located in the pool with the children? Our TV was a smart TV with available APPS but no way to use them because the remote did not have the ability to scroll or go up and down. Our room was in need of an update, with torn upholstery and wall markings and worn furniture. There was no restroom near the gym and to get to the gym one had to go outside the main building. So to get to a restroom one had to go back into the main facility and use the one off the lobby.

I do not recommend this hotel

The hotel is in a good location with nice view and grounds. Some of the staff was friendly but some was not. The hotel was clean.

The drinks were watered down. The food wasn't good and I'm not picky. The buffet area was very loud. The pool and "hot tub" was cold. The concierge was suppose to make us a reservation at the restaurant and we get to the restaurant and they treat us like we are lying. The experience was very disappointing.

Great getaway place for relaxing by the beach

Everything in the hotel just hits the spot as an all-inclusive hotel. From the checkin to checkout, we received very nice service from our host Francisco and all the staffs in the hotel. Tasty foods and non-stop drinks are unbeatable, not to mention the good value for the price we paid.

It was good. I would recommend it but keeping in mind my comments regarding the food.

the location in San Jose was great; it was near restaurants and grocery stores. The price for all inclusive and high season was unbeatable. The kids pool was the right size, not too big not too small. Staff was very helpful.

food in the buffet was hit or miss. Most of the time was a hit. but, when it missed it was horrible. The mexican night was the best. The "fancy" restaurant was average. Tried twice.

Good location but will not stay here again or recommend.

I liked the location of the hotel, the staff in the children's pool was friendly and the wifi was consistent throughout the property.

Several things were lacking during our stay. The room had poor air conditioning, the property needs some upkeep, the pool area does not get serviced enough with all the cups and plates that customers are generating. There's an abundance of food but the quality of it is lacking.

Not good, horrible customer service from booking.com and the hotel. I will not be recommending.

Breakfast and food were good. Restaurants were not always available and we had to go on their app to make reservations. They booked up very quickly so we were stuck with the buffet. Would have liked to get reservations in. Wifi was good.

I am upset at Booking.com and the hotel. Booking.com made the error of not adding my kids' ages so upon discovery, I immediately contacted both the hotel and booking.com. Upon my initial proactive inquiry to make both companies aware of the error, no one informed me it would cost extra; otherwise, I would have changed the reservation. it cost me an additional $516 to pay for my one child ($129 per night) and luckily, my husband could not make the trip so I had to argue with the hotel that I shouldn't have to pay for my 2nd child since I already paid for an adult that was not with us. Horrible experience and bad customer service from booking.com.

We loved the area and scenery. We felt safe everywhere we went

Hard working employees that keep the place clean. Service was also very good. Hugh lobby has bands and open bar and had a great atmosphere

Our 1st trip to this area so I’m glad we rented a car. Most activities are in Cabo’s 30 minutes away. The shuttle’s are not free. The car came in very handy and all you need is a smartphone with GPS Our experience was the wifi was spotty and in & out

The food, housekeeping, and hospitality were outstanding and reason to want to return again!

The property was fully staffed with kind, hardworking staff.

There were children taking up space at the swim up Bar and the pool was often warm-not sure what can be done about that!

Amazing honeymoon by the beach in Mexico!

We went for 8 nights for our honeymoon. Great beachfront all-inclusive resort. Food is amazing. We loved Panchos which featured local Mexican food. Pizzeria by the pool has delicious pizza. Overall a great experience.

Since the hallway is all tile flooring, the sounds come through easily to the room.

Customer service 100% right from when you get to the entrance. Ramon (young chocho) was amazing. Breakfast Buffett awesome Lunch at Rosmarinus awesome Dinner at Zai EXCEPTIONAL!!! Chris at Zai perfected the experience

great value for families with kids 10 and under.

the facilities are very nice, clean and well kept. it is very family friendly.

The food on the lunch and dinner buffets is okay. But you can find good items. We enjoyed the French night at Marco Polo, as well as the Mexican night and BBQ night at Panchos. The breakfast buffet is the best of the buffets. At lunch try to stick with the freshly made items like the tacos and grilled options.

Decent Value for the Money - Family hotel - expect children

The Staff was warm, welcoming and helpful with directions. I enjoyed the nightly shows in the auditorium and the 1 minute to win in the lobby that Kia managed. I enjoyed the pool side activities and that entire team doubled as some of the nightly entertainment.

In my booking I asked not to be next to elevator, stairs or ice machine as I'm a light sleeper so they placed a single guy over 50 with all the families with kids, I should have asked for a different room. Kids slam doors, are loud because they lack awareness since they are excited and just noisy in general, I know, I have 3 adult children. Big issue is that if you wanted a lounge chair to lay in the sun you literally had to put towels on them by 8:30am each morning. People reserve lounge chairs all day but only spend a few hours using them so others end up not being able to use them - that's not fair for all guests. When the hotel is near capacity, the Adults only pool is too small. Same issue at Adult pool with people reserving lounges for the day but only using them for a few hours, not ok.

Going for a getaway weekend to Cabo, Royal Solaris is a good location to pick to stay for a chill weekend. Facilities are clean and staff very friendly and helpful. This resort is more family friendly/ retired customers resort. Our room was very clean and great view of the ocean. Very safe and very convenient Resort to stay.

Royal Solaris food is not that great. It's very average and have very limited selection on their Breakfast buffet. Also, did not like that they only have one bar in the lobby and sometimes could be a little wait to get your next drink. If you're not a picky eater or have really high expectations, then Royal Solaris a good resort to visit. It is very safe and very convenient Resort.

Literally everything else. The food and drinks were terrible. Not woth the all inclusive-spent more time off premises to be able to eat/drink.

Highly recommend

Royal Solaris is a beautiful hotel over looking the beach. The pool area is fantastic, offering lots of lunch options. The drink service around the pool area was 10/10. The rooms are nice and big and very quiet.

The main pool isn't heated, so sitting at the pool bar isn't too comfortable. The dinner options aren't great, we found some nice options but it's definitely the biggest let down of the hotel.

pools a little too cold. at check out, they tricked us with an extra fee that we should have paid in advance. they didn’t let us leave without paying although it was their fault, very unprofessional, it felt like they were tricking us…

it’s ok.

great staff, very polite and was there when you needed something. Neymar was hands down the best host I’ve ever had!

they will try to sale you a ‘time share’ but not really a ‘time share’ in order for you to get better service or access to restaurants at an earlier time, or have access to better quality drinks. also, you can’t book a good room, you have to upgrade when you arrive, however, you’ll be put on a waiting list due to ‘VIP’ priority.
