Just needed a head down for the night but did not even get that

Clean and functional

Noise from car park, mattress was not comfortable. Between the two, only got a few hours sleep :(

Convenient, but expensive stay for what it is.

Location was ideal. Disabled parking was right outside the window, so we could keep an eye on the trike.

Toilet paper was cheap and nasty, considering what we paid for the room. There was no fan in the room and as such had to keep the window open to try and cool the room during the night. We were disturbed by laundry delivery lorries, right outside our window, and road noise from the nearby motorway.

Stop over en route to Inverness

Stay here often. Facilities are good, an staff always pleasant. Had a bit of trouble with the TV this time, lots of pixillating throughout the day / evening. Nice walk around the lake too.

Very good stopover on a long journey.

Quick, no fuss check-in, welcoming staff member. Lovely big room with its own balcony, overlooking the lake. Tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable bed. Quiet, despite proximity to motorway.

The shower control was partially broken and this difficult to operate, however the rest of the bathroom was clean and in good order. Not much choice of food in adjacent services, unless you’re ok with fast food, this however, was not a reflection on the property.

Convenient, clean and reasonably priced

The heavy entrance doors. Almost impossible for me to manage as I have limited mobility. I can’t bring the mobility scooter from the car as I’d never manage to open the doors. It leaves me every visit.

Prestation honnête sur la M6 mais feeling campagne

Would recommend this hotel to anyone

Loved the fact I got a balcony and view of the lake beside the hotel

No plug socket beside the bed - really need that in this day of electronic devices

Value for money, great location, lovely comfortable, warm and clean room. We always enjoy the food .

We just liked everything about the room and the view is brilliant and sitting out on the balcony, excellent. This is our third time and we will be back.

Value for money and perfect pit stop

The receptionist was very friendly, the location is brilliant, rooms very clean. Basic but value for money.

Scratchy sheets but that’s minor. Being a soft southerner I prefer a softer sheet 😀

The face that the door lock was nearly worn out and my understanding is that a lot of them are. It was a lottery as to whether I could get into the room. Sometimes it took 6 attempts. It would cost very, very little to replace them.

Exceptional

Considering it is a stop off hotel , the facilities and outlook, room size and comfort are outstanding value, Room was clean,spacious, and the balcony views across the lake are perfect to relax.

A comfortable room to break the journey.

The location was ideal for a stopover en route. Very convenient for the motorway. Tea and coffee facilities provided in the very spacious room, plus a small outside balcony. We had a lovely walk around the small lake to wind down before bed.

We paid for a Lake view room, but the trees had grown so tall, the lake was barely visible. Unfortunately the only food outlet is MacDonalds, but we made sure we ate before we arrived and drove an hour to the lovely Tebay Services for a farm breakfast after a cup of tea in the room. If you’re driving north, Cairn Lodge services is an excellent option for breakfast.

Excellent staff, room with all facilities, great food right next door!

Clean room, comfortable bed, plenty of tea & coffee, lovely bathroom with loads of hot water and beautiful views. Perfect!
