Lovely couple who generated a friendly atmosphere with them and other guests. House was enormous and impressive. Breakfast was very good. Fun watching monkeys and birds on the electricity wires outside. The couple insisted on giving me a nice herbal drink for a slight cold (and it helped!). Lots of good advice so, especially for solo travellers this would be a good place to stay. Walk to nearby (very small) village was only 15 minutes but you would need a tuk tuk to get to town for restaurants and banks and sights. Tuk tuks were plentiful and cost was around £2-3.
Bathroom was a bit dated with a loose tap. Our bedroom didn't have a balcony but did open out to the garden. Scenary was lovely with birdsong but felt a little remote. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee in the room but they were always around to make it for you so not really an issue. Narrow roads to get to property and a long staircase to get to the house.

Sehr herzliche und familiäre Besitzer, die einen sofort ins Herz schließen.
Sie stehen immer für gute Ratschläge zur Verfügung und das Frühstück war sehr lecker und viel. Haben sogar noch Bananen für die Weiterreise mitbekommen.
Zimmer war alles in allem sehr ordentlich und Mückennetz ist vorhanden.
Leider keine Klimaanlage aber dafür steht ein Ventilator zur Verfügung.

Lovely natural setting out of the city & with wonderful hosts who gave us excellent advice about Sri Lanka. Big thanks to Lalith who drove us back & forth in his tuk tuk & also recommended best Ayurvedic Massage and dinner venue. He later drove us to Pinawalla Elephant Sanctuary. Big thanks also to Saliya who took us to visit temples. We were lucky to find this guesthouse .
It is a 25 min walk to the city and road can be busy in parts. Local tuk tuks got a bit lost returning us to the Homestay but we had no problems with Pick Me.

Beautiful building, stunning surroundings and really great room. Owners were so friendly and welcoming and helped us with our plans. It is further out of Kandy so you do need a tuk tuk to get back but we liked being able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet up there.

I liked the location, was on top of a hill, with a very nice garden, palm trees and a jungle view.
The hosts were very nice and welcoming and their dog is adorable.
We stayed 2 nights and we felt really good. The room was also very big.
Cleaniness. While it was not filthy or disgusting, the room was way too dusty, to the level I had to take anti-allergy pills to be able to sleep ( I have dust allergy).
There was dust on the bed, on the head of the bed, under it, everywhere. This made the stay not that pleasant. Hope this was a one time thing and they keep the rooms a bit better.

Vom freundlichen Empfang, dem schönen Erkerzimmer, immer sehr warmes Wasser, perfekt funktionierendes W-LAN, abwechslungsreiches gutes Frühstück, bis zum ausgezeichneten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Besonders erwähnenswert ist auch der sehr freundliche und immer schnell zur Verfügung stehende preislich günstige Tuk Tukfahrer Lalith. Danke an Alle, mit lieben Grüßen Rosmarie und Guido aus Österreich.
Wir haben gründlich Überlegt, aber es fällt uns nichts ein.

Camera veramente grande e luminosa con terrazzino privato. Leggermente fuori dal centro, necessità sicuramente di un tuk tuk per essere raggiunta, ma ne vale la pena per la location e perché vi accoglierà una dolcissima coppia in pensione! Ottima la colazione, non possiamo che consigliarlo se desiderate essere lontani dal caos della città!

You are welcomed by a very nice couple into a very homely place. They pamper you with home made breakfast, and give you good advice on the area and Sri Lanka in general. This was our favourite stay so far in Sri Lanka.

The host Dr Nimal and his lovely wife were really welcoming and nice people, many stories and travels to tell about and a lot of advice about the area and sri lanka. They made laundry for us with same day delivery which was helpful.
Unfortunately I booked the room with balcony and view, this was the reason to go so far from town. But due to booking misunderstanding only the road room without balcony nore view was available so this was disappointing. The bathroom is a bit moldy.

Loved our stay! The couple who runs the place are lovely and so helpful. They made our stay the best, and had lots of helpful tips to make the most of our trip to Kandy. Nice location in the hillside, but still close enough to walk into city center. Would 100% recommend and go back!

Spacious room with enough furniture the store all your things. Plus the room had this amazing fragrance, not sure what it was, but it was really nice. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and decent shower. Our room didn't have AC but it wasn't needed at all (December). Surroundings were quiet, far away from the city buzz. When we arrived, we were welcomed with a fresh juice. Amazing
Nothing really, just keep in mind that the guest house is located in the hills of Kandy, so it's like a hike to get there. Took us about 20 minuts.

Mount Haven ist eine sehr schöne Unterkunft in Kandy. Zu Fuß ist man in circa 25min in der Stadt. Wir haben auf Anfrage ein Roller mieten können und waren so noch flexibler und schneller unterwegs.
Wir hatten ein sehr sehr schönes und großes Zimmer mit einer fantastischen Aussicht in die Natur. Das Bad ist sehr schön mit sehr warmen Wasser zum Duschen. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich.
Die Gastgeber sind super lieb, kommunikativ und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns einen tollen Ausflug nach Sigiriya organisiert und waren für all unsere Fragen offen.
Wir würden einen Aufenthalt in Mount Haven aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen:)

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Mount Haven. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von dem Ehepaar, die das Mount Haven führen, empfangen. Die Zimmer waren gross, sehr sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Da wir am nächsten Tag früh auf den Zug mussten, bekamen wir sogar ein Frühstückspaket gepackt und es wurde für uns ein Tuktuk zum Bahnhof organisiert. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen!
Leider war unser Aufenthalt zu kurz! Nächstes Mal werden wir länger in Kandy bleiben :)

Fantastic view, clean and comfortable bed! The owners were super helpful with recommendations and taxi, we got to the train station smoothly and perfectly on time!
Breakfast was delicious!
Everything was lovely but not all the windows had curtains, so if you are sensitive to light bring a sleeping mask.

The house is located on the outskirts(10min tuktuk ride - don't pay more than 500 lkr) of Kandy and amazing if you want to get away from the chaotic city. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Dr Nimal and his wife were wonderful hosts, providing us with a lot of tips for our journey. They also have a lovely dog! We really enjoyed the stay with them and would recommend it to anyone else.

Gorgeous hosts, they were very keen to talk and have us feel welcome. Their house was beautiful and there hospitality was so welcoming. I’d definitely come back to stay again. Comfortable, clean and a really beautiful home.

是一对老夫妇在经营，很热情，英语很好，早餐也都是奶奶自己做的，量大味道不错。客房都在二楼，我订的普通双人间稍小了点，但连住三晚之后感觉没毛病。建议大家定那个带阳台的房间，我趁打扫卫生的时候进去看了下，简直是我房间的两倍大，光线超好，阳台view超级棒！喜欢他们家的小狗Bella，又乖又聪明。推荐入住哦
离市区有一点点远，但是我们有司机问题不大

dr. nimal is giving a lot of travel suggestions and is helping with drivers, tuctuc etc. i spent a nice trip in sigiriya and dambulle with lallith - bohoma isthuti🙏🏿

We loved everything! Great location, quiet with stunning views, rooms big and perfectly clean, but first of all we liked the amazing owners: Nimal and his wife have been the best hosts, kind and helpful. Can’t recommend more!!!

The homestay is not very close to the city center which we actually preferred due to the amazing view over Kandy and the quite neighbourhood away from the loud and busy city. The hosts are one of the kindest and welcoming people we have met so far and we felt comfortable right from the very start. The rooms are tidy and clean (spotless) and the breakfast was also really good The owners even organized a tuk tuk driver for us who's a friend of the family. We went with him from Kandy to Sigiriyah and made plenty stops on the way (spice garden, cave tempels Dambulla). He was always very friendly, polite and we felt very safe driving with him. Also he told us so many interesting facts about the country and it's culture.

Once they cooked a typical sri lanka dinner for us, that was very delicous.
The host gave us every day important informations and helped us with the planning.

We loved our stay at Mount Haven!
Two super friendly owners who are ready for you every minute of the day. The first morning we were leaving for an early excursion, but they did not hesitate to make us a breakfast to go at 5AM. The second day we had a full, delicious breakfast in their home and had a lovely conversation with the hosts!
The room was spacious and clean, filtered water was provided, as well as towels for showering!
For sure a place were you feel at home, such a lovely atmosphere to escape from busy Kandy!
Extra plus points for their cute dog Bella!
As Kandy can reach very high temperatures, the fan in the room was sometimes not enough to cool down. Airconditioning would be a nice extra!

It is not directly in the city centre but very close, and we liked to be off the chaotic city centre as it was really quiet at Mount Haven!
