Sehr schönes Hotel in super Lage und super freundlichen Mitarbeitern

Extrem freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Wunderschöne Lage in Mdina, verkehrsberuhigt und trotzdem gut angebunden. Grosse Suite auf 2 Etagen.

Best possible location in Mdina and the property itself is beautiful. Breakfast location has one of the best views of the surroundings.

The room felt outdated, and some features were counterintuitive. For example, the duplex room had a built-in bar/kitchen area, but it lacked essentials like towels, cutlery, and the cabinets were completely empty. What am I supposed to do with that? One of the TVs was useless as it never connected to anything. As for the room service, at first, we were told it wasn’t available, then later told it was, but the food was not tasty at all.

A once in a lifetime experience we will never forget

We liked everything about the property. The staff were incredible, the room was like a vision. We felt like royalty staying here.

Wir waren drei Nächte dort. Nachträglich hätte auch eine Nacht gereicht.

Die Lage ist super. Eine tolle Aussicht und das Mondion Restaurant mit dem Michelin Stern war großartig.

Nicht alle Zimmer sind hell und freundlich. Wir hatten ein Maisonette Zimmer Nummer 2 und sind nach einer Nacht in die Nummer 12 umgezogen. Grund: Nummer 2 geht zur Straße raus, war laut und dunkel. Wirklich nicht gemütlich. Ich habe es reklamiert und wir sind gegen einen Aufpreis umgezogen. Das neue Zimmer ging zum Hof raus und hatte Tageslicht. Es fehlt eine schöne Hotelbar.

Delightful characterful propert allows you to sample Mdina without the crowds

Perfectly located for enjoying Mdina without the crowds. The hotel was full of character. We particularly enjoyed eating breakfast on the terrace with its far reaching views.

The hotel’s Italian restaurant was closed at the time of our visit

we had the spa on the deck outside the room which we used every day at night. There were fireworks in the distance every

Lovely hotel with a perfect location in the old town, a wonderful onsite Trattoria (went there repeatedly), and most of all, a staff which were accommodating, extremely pleasant and polite, efficient and effective -- i.e., perfect. This was a truly wonderful stay

Wonderful stay in iconic building in the heart of the medieval Mdina.

Fabulous hotel in wonderful building right in the old city of Mdina. Very comfortable room - especially the bed. Lovely kind attentive staff. Delicious breakfast. Great communal spaces with superb views in every direction right across the island.

Our room was a little hot for us. Also we had a few mosquitoes in the room - even after the staff had sprayed.

Nice hotel if you like the ambiance of a palazzo, but not 5 star quality

Nice located palazzo in Mdina. Staff very helpful and doing everything they can to make you feel comfortable. Roof terrace amazing!

Although a five star hotel, it didn’t feel like it, because of the hotel lobby, bit outdated. we had to switch rooms, staff was very helpful but we didn’t expect such inconvenience. Breakfast just continental, they could have included the extra’s you have to pay for , fe the English breakfast. Again, staff was very nice!

A birthday celebration to remember!

I've never stayed in a hotel quite like this one. It was scenic and very regal within the Palace. The surrounding area is breathtaking. You can't help but want to learn all about the history of Malta. We thoroughly enjoyed that our room was set over 2 floors. It made it that much special. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was excellent. The best hot chocolate I've ever had.

We didn't stay long enough. 1 night is not enough. Inclusive breakfast only covers continental. You have to pay an extra cost for full English if you request. Despite the expenses, it will be a stay that we will remember with fond memories.

No pool. Good location, but dishonest marketing.

Location. Nice old building.

Facilities are poor or non-existent. Most importantly there is no pool. It’s somewhere else in a different hotel, and even that is closed for most of the year. You need a car to get to it. The hotel knows the marketing is misleading, but intentionally do not remedy this. Scroll back through reviews from one or two years ago, and you can see this has been raised multiple times by guests. There is a small terrace you can sit at instead, but the chairs are uncomfortable and there is no drink or food service available there. The gym is very small. Also the bar was closed 100% of the time that we stayed. It was fenced if with a sort of metal railing. So basically, it is marketed as 5 stars, but in reality you just get a room. The positive reviews are the people who paid extra for a terrace room.

Dreaming on Imdina’s Bastions…

Everything! Imdina the location is one of my favourite cities in the whole world and the hotel’s charm is evident in every nook and cranny. Once you are inside it is like you are living history. The staff are amazing, totally professional and totally motivated. I got a smile and a friendly from all if them! The room was beautiful and so spacious. I was also so pleasantly surprised by the two beautiful gifts I was given during my stay! And last but not least, the De Mondion restaurant was literally the cherry on the cake 🙂…thank you and I will definitely be returning!

delightful, elegant, could not have been bettered

at the entrance to the town could not be bettered as a location. The room on two floors our needs. Breakfast on those days we took it was delicious and in a stupendous setting. service was delightful, particularly the overall welcomer.

staff amazing, so helpful and when knew it was our honeymoon we got a bottle of bubbly delivered to our room. Breakfast was exceptional as were the views. Would definitely stay again
