Disappointing
It was clean and in a lovely location. Pretty town to walk through. Bed was comfortable except for the sheets.
Staff was abrupt, really didn't seem to like that we spoke no German. She, refused to tell us the wifi password - insisted on entering it into our phones herself. Although once you left reception then the wifi dropped in and out so I guess it didn't matter that you couldn't reconnect. The beds had rough sheets made of terry cloth, very uncomfortable so I slept on top of the duvet. We went to eat dinner in the restaurant and were told it was closed even though we could see people at the tables.

We enjoyed our stay in Bad Honningen but as the Park Hotel didn’t have all the facilities available,
Very good
The fact that the restaurant was closed as was the bar also. We were very disappointed that this hotel was advertised as having a restaurant and bar, had we known that these were closed, we would not have chosen this hotel.

when i arrived i could not see reception for a while there is a small intercom next to a door with small writing a proper big sign would be an improvement .no resturant and the promissed rhine vue was almost covered with trees .

A relaxing SPA weekend on the romantic Rhine
perfect location: on the river and next to the spa/ baths. really good mattresses and we loved the style of the dining and breakfast rooms. At checkout we were informed that the hotel underwent a big upgrade. It was wonderful to stay in this family run hotel and so welcome in a world of hotel chains that all offer the same formula.

Luckily this was just a stop on the way home. I wouldn't want to spend more than one night there.
The hotel is located on the Rhine. The rooms are outdated, but very well maintained and comfortable. The bathroom is comfortable. The breakfast buffet is good for its price.
The reception was particularly unpleasant. Due to Covid 19, all kinds of formalities are required. And everything is in German, we are of course in Germany. Any effort to say anything in English was not made (also the papers are completely in German). We were treated as if we were infected (we have been vaccinated twice). The lady was curt, unhelpful.

Very good
The staff was really friendly and really helpful. When I forgot to do a Covid test they offered it for me right there and then.
I would have liked to have a second pillow. I forgot to ask the WLAN Password when I arrived and later noone was at the reception to ask. The ventilator in the bathroom was so loud.

Pleasant
The receptionist was not really friendly. Quite weird, finding the entrance was not easy, and, once found, on pressing at the door the receptionist had no effect. We entered the hotel once other guests let us in. Quite basic, clean rooms. It's a pity that there is no free view on the river Rhine. Breakfast was fine.

Nice hotel location, but not very guest friendly oriented
Location, rooms with balcony at Rhein site have nice view. Plenty eat & drink facilities at walking distance from hotel.
Very unfriendly reception. The Booking.com stated that check-in to be between 15:00 and 20:00. We arrived around 19:30, but found hotel door closed. However the reception lady was "accidentally" still present and did, after some shouting, open the door and checked us in, meanwhile kept telling us that all arrivals after 18:00 should have phoned the hotel. Possibly this was a communication error between Booking.com and the hotel or did we overlook some info on the website? But what struck us mostly was the unfriendly way we were addressed - looks like the words "client" and "guest" were still to be invented by the reception lady. Kitchen and bar all closed, but no problem as there are plenty eat & drink facilities available in close vicinity of hotel. Wifi did not work and when I made remark at check-out that I could not find any wifi network, the reception lady told me that they had removed all information booklets from the rooms due to Corona des-infection issues and that I should have asked for this info - I think she should have told us at check-in. Had almost the impression that the hotel was run by one single person, the reception lady (and owner?), as at breakfast saw only at the very last moment a second person. And yes, I can imagine that that's a tough job and friendliness may easily suffer in such circumstances......
