A Great Stay

A neat, tidy house with great facilities for a travelling family. Rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. Kids enjoyed watching TV in the evening while we cooked dinner in the well-equipped kitchen. Convenient location with easy access to main roads for sightseeing.

Location was good but lack of servicing let it down, especially for the price paid.

It was not far from the centre of Rotorua.

The area outside the front door was dirty on our arrival, leaves, cigarette butts and cotton buds lying on the ground. Inside the door we see a sign asking us to take off our shoes inside the house. While I do not have a problem with that it works both ways, if you want us to respect your rules then surely the front entrance should be clean and swept and perhaps consider providing a front door mat!! The windows were not very clean and there was thick dust on the skirting boards in the main bedroom. There are not enough rails to hang up towels in the bathrooms. The garage is used as a drying laundry for the linen and towels from previous occupants and smells of mould, signs of which are evident on the ceiling. There is also a sign inside the front door advising that if you do not vacate by 10.00 am you will be charged $150 fee. Whilst I understand that perhaps some people might overstay the 10.00 am curfew I think it very rude to assume most travellers would not do the right thing. We spent 1 month travelling around the North Island and were treated with respect by all other accommodation providers. I believe that this property is overpriced by comparison to the other properties we stayed in during our holiday.

Spacious house with garden. All amenities & facilities are complete.

Sulphur smell in the house. Host could use some air freshener in the house. Some electric sockets produced sparks & hissing sound.

The carpet in a couple of bedrooms had an unpleasant smell. We have let the owners know so they can get them cleaned.

All in all good stay - would recommend.

good location and good size bedrooms, kitchen good although the bathrooms could do with some changes as they have started to change color.

the outside of the house could do with some cleaning and a bit expensive for just overnight stay.

Great little unit for a family break.

Great little unit, comfy beds, nice and clean and good garage for bike storage. Plenty of heating and blankets.

Kitchen could be more practically equipped - there was no microwave safe cookware even though there was a microwave, no coffee plunger and bowls were so shallow you couldn't fit your cereal in.

Passable

Loved the house, location and cleanliness. If heating was going, would love to stay again.

Our stay was only disappointing due to no heat on Friday night. But owner came in about 9.30pm to try and sort the problem, he advised us that the heat pump thermostat is broken and cannot do anything until tomorow, he did put manual heaters in rooms and on Saturday bought a heat for lounge. But the heater in one room seem to be on a timer and we couldn't get it to go, so had to get warm by getting into bed. The owner said he will look into giving a discount for our troubles. Apart from the heating, everything else was great.
