Soggiorno e movida

La posizione, la cura dei dettagli e la disponibilità dell'host Martina. La casa è in una zona tranquilla ma vicinissima alle vie turistiche dei ristoranti ed a poche centinaia di metri dalla movida genovese con migliaia di ragazzi che affollano le strade.

Posizione della casa, gentilezza e disponibilità della proprietaria. Casa molto caratteristica e dotata di tutto. Forse non adatta a bambini molto piccoli per i gradini, con i nostri bambini di 4 anni ci siamo trovati molto bene.

Comodissimo

Casetta deliziosa in zona molto tranquilla ma vicino a tutto quello che serve: tipo un minuto di orologio dalla metro e 2 da negozi, market, ristoranti ecc .ecc. . Martina gentilissima e disponibile ad accettare le nostre richieste. Appartamento fornito di ogni cosa vi possa venire in mente, sembra di essere a casa propria.

le imposte non schermano del tutto la luce la notte ( ma ho visto che a Genova le hanno tutti così )

Cosy home in Genoa

it was a complete home with good size spaces. quirky personal decoration and plenty of coffee pods; bath was a nice rarity. washing machine and dryer worked. house was tidy and linen clean. Polite host contacted by WhatsApp. Close parking.

There is no cover to blackout bright street lamp outside of the bedroom window- we had to put a blanket over the window at night. There is no way to open the bathroom door from the inside as there was a handle only on the outside. Don’t close door if on your own. The house smelled heavily of damp when we arrived so we had the run the aircon constantly and it took a couple of days for the air to freshen as there were no screens to open windows and some mosquitoes around. I suspect there is a leak somewhere in the bathroom. The freezer was completely iced over so that drawers could not be opened at all. The walk up to the home is not even and smooth so wheeling luggage is not possible. No streaming services.

Extremely Disappointing

I truly regret my stay. Full disclosure: I requested a partial refund for the many problems I encountered, but after I gave the host my reasons, she declined.

1. The internet is terrible. I had to unplug the router every day. I had to leave early because I couldn't get any work done, but they did not even refund the days I left early. 2. There is a LOT of construction, and the area is quite ugly. Cars cannot reach it so prepare to carry luggage up many stairs, through construction, etc. from the taxi 3. Teenagers hang out under the bedroom window every night until 2am 4. The hot tub does NOT work. The host is dishonest in the description (see photos). When I told her this was the main reason I picked the place (there are other apartments much nicer and much cheaper) she told me that it is the guests fault if they see pictures of a hot tub and think they can use it!!!!!!!!!!! 5. There is an ugly overstuffed chair in the bathroom that the pictures she posts take great pains to hide. 6. The lighting is terrible...it is dark even with all the lights on as you can see from my photos. The stairs between the bedroom and kitchen, and kitchen and living room, are a little dangerous. Definitely not safe for anyone with mobility issues, kids, older parents 7. A friend visited earlier than planned. Again, the Booking listing was a lie. It said when I booked in March that there was a sofa bed when they knew there wasn't one. They ordered one that arrived too late and the host s mother was in the apartment with workmen all day while I was trying to get work done. 8. I could go on and on. The pots and pans are cheap, the cabinets disorganized, the items in the pantry old, some food like old couscous left opened, rusted spice cans, open boxes of sugar damp from humidity, dirty bottles, etc., Something broke almost every day. All of this and what they offered was that i didn't have to pay the tourist tax of about 30euros.

I enjoyed our stay, the location and apartment overall were very beautiful.

Great location, very nice, comfortable house, beautifully decorated, very good coffee, smooth check in - check out

The house smelled musty, a lot of humidity in the air and some surfaces were a bit dusty (speaking from the perspective of a person with allergies, there was a lot of sneezing 😅).

Charming and relaxing place to relax

In love with this beautiful hidden jewel ..Felt home..Sparkling clean bathroom ,nice and comfy bed ..Nice decoration and lighting.Amazing and friendly host. QUIET.PRIVATE.RELAXING. 130 meters from the metrostation …fruits ,veggies market and supermarket very close. Amazing place to come back and relax after wandering around Genova

Surprisingly nice area and apartment - perfect for relaxing and exploring Genova.

Perfectly cosy apartment at perfectly peaceful location in old town of Genova. Close to city centre on foot, best restaurant street very close, close to metro and supermarket. Apartment is in old house in little quiet street, part of medivial town. Very picturesque and peaceful since there's no traffic in the area. Easy check in at any time since the keys are waiting for you in a lock box.

We did like everything, but just a note to other travellers with luggage - taxi can't reach the street since it's a no traffic zone, but it can get closely and it takes about 100-200 meters to reach the apartment on foot - but on very rocky street for dragging suitcases.

Picked an amazing place and was able to completely enjoy such a beautiful city.

Perfect location. Beautiful old city location with cobbled streets, but walking distance close to most parts of the city. The spa bath was brilliant for relaxing at the end of the day. One of the nicest and most accommodating hosts.

Some of the facilities were slightly tricky to work out (eg the stovetop), and the modem was not able to cope with videocalls.

the property was amazing, good style, very chill!! neighborhood is quiet , something that we loved! but we got to say that the hosts added an extra point, they were really kind , we had a good chat when we arrived, they gave us awesome recommendations about what to do or where to go. I definitely recommend this property!! thanks for everything

Superb

A beautiful and cozy apartment, very well located to many sights (easily reachable by foot). There a many good restaurants nearby, as well as supermarkets, Bakerys, Cafes...Check in and check out went quite easy, so I can absolutely recommend Martinas Guest House

Lovely accommodation in the heart of Genoa

Coziest place in Genoa! Close to everything, fully furnished, beautiful bathroom and very comfortable beds. Next time we are in Genoa we’ll chose this place again without any doubts. Strongly recommended!
