First of all we were without hot water for 48 hours! Even when the heating element was replaced the water was very temperamental! You had to get the wonky dials positioned just right. There were exposed cables everywhere! The tv didn’t work in the cottage. We enjoyed our vacation because we love St. George but we will never stay here again! Definitely not worth the money!

Great family time, houses were awesome just some items needed cleaning, some lights didn’t work but we all enjoyed the layout of houses and pool area was perfect, the favorite area for us was the huge front porch with plenty of shade, we enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the area has several nice eateries and souvenir shops.

I booked this place for my parents, sister , myself and my significant other. So we had 5 adults and two dogs. The house was nice and spacious for our group. We did not even use the in-law suite, the bed was smaller then we were used too is the only reason. Was clean and very nice. They provided a nice set of starter toiletries. The kitchen was surprisingly well stalked, we had plenty of large bowls for watermelon, pasta salad and other things. A lot of the Tupperware didn’t have lids and we just used Saran Wrap, easy enough. Lots of drink pitchers two for lemonade or sangria. The beach chairs were a little warn it but still very usable and so convenient, the beach is basically across the street. We were able to bring the paddle board out 1 day. Took two able bodies but not bad, made for a very fun experience. The pool was great, clean and warm and very fun to play in after a day at the beach. All in all we would stay there again, it was great for the week!

With a dog, two toddlers, and 3 families, this house met our needs perfectly. The lack of stairs was great for the kids and one member of our family who was still recovering from an orthopedic injury. The heated pool was great fun since the Gulf was still chilly. The fenced yard was great for the kids and dog. The proximity to the beach was good for hauling sand toys and chairs (and the buggy to do it with was super helpful). The kitchen and dining area was large enough for everyone. And the layout with split bedrooms and a cottage gave the 3 families some privacy. There was plenty of room in the driveway for 3 cars but it was walkable to a playground, doughnuts, and ice cream 😄. Not much of a view and the pool and the cottage need some repairs, but overall a great combination of amenities and value.

We had a great week at Beach Haven! It is a perfect location! Close to the middle of the island and action, and it has a close beach path. The house is roomy with good amenities. The yard is great for dogs! Minor improvements include a deeper cleaning and a “pantry” area for food. All in all, satisfied and plan to book for 2025 now!

My mom and I and my golden retriever arrived for our five weeks stay in early February. We had grandchildren and great grandchildren and teenagers and their parents come and visit us and we all enjoyed the heated pool and the close proximity to the beach. Any concerns we had with the house were handled very quickly, and there really weren’t that many. A couple of lightbulbs needed to be changed for us because of high ceilings and two bathroom faucets were replaced. Overall it was a delightful stay.

Before our arrival on 12/26, the beach house and apartment unit were closed for a month due to a tile job. Unfortunately, when we arrived the property had not been sufficiently cleaned after that tile job. It was not checked for working TV service, dishwasher, heated Pool, WiFi, or working indoor/outdoor lights. We had to clean all utensils and some dishes by hand because of the tile dust everywhere. There were dirty hand prints on walls, cigarette butts, and small construction waste around the front porch/side areas. We found sheets and underwear in the w/d and bathroom. The Wi-Fi did not work and the pool was not heated until the second day of our stay. The pool kept its warmer temp for 2 out of 6 day stay. I would like to ask for the $300 pool fee, the service fee, OR the host fee to be reimbursed. We appreciate Andrew coming over the first night and fixing the outdoor apartment light, some inside lights, the breaker (which blew first time), and having hskp come over and wipe down the dust from the ceiling fans and she helped ME clean the refrigerator that smelled like old fish. However, Andrew did NOT return my text or calls after I told him we blew the breaker a second time and the d/w was not working. Please consider a reimbursement of one or all of the mentioned fees. I was a loyal VRBO customer but never again after this stay.

The house was dirty when we arrived we had to wash the beds and thoroughly sweep the whole house the pool was unusable for the first 5 days until it was fixed no filtration and no heat the back door would not lock and kept flying open with the breeze we had to jam a door under the knob to keep it closed we had 2 disappointing weeks and that is being nice about it

The second day, my MIL (who was staying in the cottage with my FIL) suggested I request a "discount" for our week long stay. I told her we were already getting a reduced price than you'd pay for similar size places around us. In fact, I priced the rental right next door to us with the same number of beds/baths. It was over $1,500 more for the same week. As long as you go into it knowing you didn't find the "hidden gem" with top of the line accommodations for a lower-rate, then you'll be happy. Pros: Great location to everything Plenty of space in living area and bedrooms All on one level (great for older family members!) Dish washer, oven and clothes washer/drier worked great Easy entry to the beach Lots of outside showers Beach gear was great Beds were comfy and bunk room was great Can't beat the price with how close you are to the beach Cons: Big roaches inside. We saw them in all the bathrooms, kitchen, master bedroom and the cottage. Contacted the host twice but never saw anyone come spray. Only one bike was working Double kayak takes on water Bring extra towels b/c they don't give you enough Also suggest bringing extra light bulbs and batteries Fridge has seen better days and is missing shelves in the door Hodge podge of kitchen stuff (e.g. skillets, glasses, etc.) so might want to bring your own favorites Not the cleanest. Wouldn't suggest moving any furniture around because they haven't been cleaned under in a long time. Neither vacuum works well.

The features of Beach Haven can't be duplicated anywhere on SGI. Don't even try. This is a one-level, pet-friendly property with a private pool, steps from the beach that can accommodate a large crowd. Throw in a separate cottage, well-stocked kitchen and a fenced yard, and you have a truly unique property for any group, and particularly those that include seniors, children and dogs. There are no steps to navigate anywhere, and dogs have plenty of room to run freely in the fenced yard. The pool has a true privacy fence, and the gate can't be opened by anyone younger than 10 due to the height of the latch, which is a fantastic safety feature. The large covered front porch and furnishings are a delight. All of that being 100 percent true, read through all of the reviews, and you'll have a good idea of what to expect. There will be some items that don't work, quite a few burned out lightbulbs, older furniture (combined with some very nice updated items), ants in the kitchen (the spray under the sink takes care of them when they appear), bathrooms that could really use a facelift, and some very spotty housekeeping. Come in with those expectations, and you'll have a great visit. Loud boos to prior guests who didn't clean up after their dogs in the yard, which isn't a property management issue per se, but please don't think this is a yard for kiddos to run around in. Another year or two of wear and tear will be too much at the current rate of maintenance, which is a real shame.

The house was in a great location and it was nice to have the pool. However, the floor in the house needs to be replaced. One of our gueat got a splinter from the floor. House was very clean and each bedroom.was very nice. I would stay here again if i knew the floor was fixed.

The house is perfect for a family of 12-15. The kitchen is well equipped with nice appliances. The pool size and depth was great, though a few tiles are missing but no big deal. The distance to the beach was just a few steps across the street. The proximity to restaurants and shops is perfect. The grass needed cutting but that wasn't a big deal either. We'll definitely rent this house again. I'll give it a 9/10. 😀

Absolute perfect family setting. More than ample sitting and sleeping arrangements for large parties, to include private cottage for private couples. A few issues during the stay, a couple lights were not operational, water pressure/heating was minimal for showers, and just overall maintenance was not quite finished. Really hoping a lot was to do with actively renovating the property and will continue to improve. Absolutely loved the ample space, but yet still cozy family abode perfect distance from everything. Will definitely return on our next trip.

It was well equipped, nice to have a ground level home with that much space. Pool was well kept by a regular pool boy. The information we had was outdated. On the 5th day of our stay, we found a fridge magnet on the fridge with a realtor's contact. We contacted that person and it was the contact we needed. The MIL cottage had no internet or t.v. the whole week. All in all, when my family is together, the worst situations become the best.

We were all very pleased! The property was exactly what we expected everyone was happy with it. We really enjoyed the pool and being at the house! We definitely recommend it! The only issue we had was with one of the showers in the rooms, it was hard to get the temperature adjusted right. Other than that everything was great!!

Great stay! Was a little disappointed in the pool heater not working. A few little things in the cabin didn’t work such as the tv in the bedroom, the outside light and the handle in the tub is loose. All in all the e had a great time.

House was large enough for our group to be comfortable. Kitchen stocked well. Great location and perfect as a pet friendly home. But house needs a complete cleaning, ceiling to floors. Shower on master filled with water and drained slow. Walls/tiles in master bath need to be cleaned. Furniture needs to be moved and cleaned underneath. It would probably help if someone checked on condition of property before each checkin to avoid calls. We didn’t have enough towels, and several lights were out (seems to be an ongoing issue based on past reviews). I understand the property is on schedule for Reno. I’m sure plumbing and electrical are on that list for redo. Cute house, great layout. I must say we did call about towels and lighting, upon checkin on Saturday, it was Easter weekend, and these issues were taken care of on Monday by the owner.

This place is spacious and fit my family and my friends family. All we had to do to get to the beach is cross the street. It was a beautiful stay and the owner was sweet and trying to bend over backwards to fix things. We had some lights out but it was fixed. Unfortunately, the pool was unable to be heated but the kids had a good time in it anyways. I hope everyone that stays there has an awesome time like we did.

The house and location are amazing. Very short walk to the beach (maybe 2-3 minutes walking). The house was great. Kitchen was fully stocked. We had everything we needed! Bicycles were fun! We rode them around to the shops and to get ice cream.

We love the property, but it needs some attention. The place was disgusting dirty….simple things like broken door knobs, and caulk make a big difference. Living room furniture had seen its better days, happy when Andrew texted they were delivering new couches. Pool was nice, needs attention. We’ll be prepared next time. All aside, we will be back. Good times.

The house was the perfect size for our family. It had many amenities (bikes, kayak, paddle board, beach chairs, etc..). It is convenient to restaurants and stores. The cottage in the back is perfect for in laws or teens. Only complaints were a few palmetto bugs were crawling around inside the main house and some of the kitchen lights were not working. Mattress in cottage was little rough.

If you take some time and scroll down through the property reviews you will find that the property manager attacks bad reviews. I thought about it and decided how best to proceed in order to not allow the property manager to control the narrative of my review. So with the expectation that the property manager will undoubtedly attack this or give excuses about why he is right and the paying customer is wrong, here goes. The day we arrived we discovered there was no hot water in the cottage. I called the number provided and left a message. I never got a response. My wife contacted Andrew through chat on Vrbo app on Monday. We have a screenshot of the texts. (Mr. Ison, we are staying at beach haven the hot water heater isn’t working in the cottage . Also we could use more towels, dish cloths and dish towels. His response was: Okay sounds good I will send someone out to check it out, and send over extra towels etc.). Needless to say, no one came out to fix the water heater and no one brought more towels. I’m sure his response will be, just shower in the main house. The sheets on two of the beds were dirty and had someone else’s dog hair on them. Needless to say we were washing sheets before we could put the kids to bed. The worst part was the roaches. I’m not talking about a random bug or two because the house is on the ground and also in Florida. I’m talking about finding roaches of various sizes in every room and they were alive. Gross! Again I expect the property manager to attack, but after no one showed up to repair the water heater and to bring towels we asked for why would we tell him about the bugs and also half the lights didn’t work. It wouldn’t have done any good. Don’t get me wrong there were positives to this house too. The kids enjoyed the pool. Pool furniture was nice. The fenced in yard was great for our dogs. Proximity to the beach was great. I have been renting houses on this island for 19 years and this house doesn’t compare to all the others we’ve stayed in. The old adage you get what you pay for applies here. This was our first Vrbo rental not sure I will stay in another. But my daughter and son in law have stayed in many Vrbo rentals and never had a problem.

The property was relatively good. We loved the fenced yard for the dogs. The pool area was clean and very nice. However, the house could use some maintenance. Several of the lights took forever to come on and some just needed bulb replacements. The guest house bathroom could use some attention. The water in the sink came out in a trickle and was almost impossible to use.

We LOVED our stay at this house. It was plenty of room for 12 of us....and we had all ranges of age in our family. The house set up is roomy and very accommodating for a large group. The walk to the beach was very easy & the location from the restaurants & businesses just a very short ride away. The pool is a perfect size for what we needed and we greatly enjoyed the pool as well. I would DEFINTELY book this house again in the future. Being on one level is AWESOME. Anderew is very helpful We stayed April 22-26. It was a perfect time to go! Weather was warm but not hot....no big spring break crowd....and the pool was perfect temperature without heating it. Again....this is a wonderful house for a big group. Highly recommend!!!!

The location is great! We walked to dinner and grabbed a few groceries several times. The neighborhood is quiet. Our walk to the beach was two minutes. There was lots of room for parking. We appreciated the fenced yard along with an extra fence around the pool for more privacy. Communication from the owner/property managers was immediate. Thanks for a great place to stay!
