About this cottage rental

You’ll love this darling cozy cottage decorated in farmhouse style! The cottage is situated on the back of the pasture and nestled in among pine and oak trees. You can enjoy an evening out by the fire pit and a morning cup of coffee on the front porch. There are bicycle / nature trails for exploring the forest. The fishing pond is stocked with bass, catfish, and perch for catch and release fishing.

The cottage itself is a small studio type space but feels very roomy. The full size bed is comfy and there is also a double recliner for relaxation. The kitchen is complete with a full size fridge, a convection oven, microwave, toaster, induction stove top, electric kettle, and coffee pot. You will also find essentials such as coffee, sugar, flour, cornmeal, oil, and numerous spices for cooking either in the kitchen or outside on the charcoal grill.

We had an amazing time! Our host was welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The cottage was so cozy and beautifully decorated. The walking trails were an added bonus and we enjoyed a morning walk through the woods. We highly recommend it as a relaxing and quiet stay.

This property was wonderful for me. Since I was travelling alone, the "tiny house" feel was perfect. It would also be perfect for a couple. My only concern was I really could have used a stair for the bed. It's really high and I'm only 4'9".

The cottage was cute and close to everything I needed. I loved that it has a kitchen. As a woman traveling alone, I felt much safer than in a motel, and I loved the peace and quiet. The owner was very friendly. I'll definitely stay there again.

Stayed for 3 nights so we could watch our niece and nephew show their animals for the Angelina County Livestock Show. Cottage was clean, quiet and was perfect. Had our mini Aussie with us and she really enjoyed stepping into the pond while i fished. Terri was very kind and filled coffee jar for us on our arrival. Will stay again if the need arises.

We were in town for our grandson's rodeo finals so we did not get to enjoy all the amenities of the property because we wer gone most of the time. But it is a cute cottage and very close to restaurants but away from the city!

The property was not secluded like I requested in previous message with owner. The water never got above Luke warm from any faucet.The weather & conditions outside had the entire cabin cold floor and walls ..poorly insulation is my guess. The heater/ac could not keep up with desired inside temperature. We left a day early and never returned.We are long time VRBO Customers check yr records from Fredericksburg Tx. We will not return to this particular property. RED CROFOOT

Clean, Quiet, Peaceful, secluded place. Very comfortable. Could tell the host Terri put a lot of effort to make things perfect. The only 'negative' was the spotty WiFi which was really out of her control.

Terri is an awesome host. Communication was very good. We definitely enjoyed our time in the cabin. It's in a beautiful country setting but yet it's close to restaurants and shopping. We loved the sound of the rain hitting the tin roof. It was very relaxing. We look forward to staying there on our next trip to Lufkin.

A very nice, quiet, relaxing place to stay. at night I set on the porch looking at the stars & listening to the cattle on down the way, couldn't see them but you could hear them. The owner "Terri" met us when we got there, she was just up the lane if we needed her. She came down to let us know how to turn on the heat when a cool spell came in. All in all this is a Perfect place for a vacation, I definitely want to go back, shoot I didn't want to leave, I wonder if she would let us retire there.

Terri is a gracious host. She was easy to reach when needed. The cabin was cozy and nicely decorated and suited our needs perfectly. The property where the cabin is located is quiet, yet still close to restaurants for dining out as well as grocery stores and outdoor recreation. I would consider staying here again. This property and the owner did not disappoint. Every consideration was supplied for my stay. Terri was accommodating and supplied extra touches such as snacks, fresh eggs, and a fishing pole. I was taken aback at how much the land reminded me of my childhood home. The area is quiet but close to town. I was minutes from my family which made the stay that much more convenient and enjoyable. Book it…you won’t be disappointed!

We had a nice relaxing time. Cabin was small, as described, but nicely laid out. Our host Terry was there when we had questions but otherwise left us to our own devices. The only down side was the road in front of the property was quite noisy and busy. We would definitely recommend renting this cabin for a weekend get away

It’s the perfect tiny house for our weekend trip. It was laid out perfectly and decorated very nice. The owner was so sweet and made the trip very easy for us and answered our phone call when we needed assistance! Needed a quiet, comfy getaway so my wife could decompress from a very challenging couple of weeks at her company. Found this on the Net and booked it…couldn’t have made a better choice. The owner, Terri, is charming and thoughtful and the cabin was perfectly appointed and quipped with everything we could want. Highly recommend and very reasonably priced.

This was my first Vrbo booking, and thanks to Terri it was a wonderful experience. We loved the cottage -- it has such a welcoming warmth, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care went into shaping it. The property, with its pond and nature trail, was fun to explore, and Lufkin overall is a great place to visit. So many trees around and a nice weekend escape from the city. Highly recommend the downtown (very cute!) and the zoo. There's also a brewery in the downtown -- check Facebook to see when they have live music! All around a great experience.

The cabin was a cozy. There are however a few things that would have made our stay amazing. 1. From the first day, there were gnats flying around everywhere. 2. The bed was hard as a rock. Im a big guy and it didn’t budge hardly any. 3. We seen several roaches in the cabin as well, at night. Other than these things it was a great stay. I don’t believe we would ever stay there again though. On the bright side I did catch 3 bass out of the pound, all about 1lbs each.
