About this apartment rental
In the area to visit for a wedding, graduation, holiday or just because. This brand new modern 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment is on the 2nd floor up 1 flight of stairs. It is painted in rich neutral warm colors throughout and displays nice art on the walls and comfortable unique furnishings. Sleeps up to 4 people comfortably.
Located just 1 block south of the Arcata Plaza where guests can walk to the town square and go shopping, explore the farmers markets on Saturdays and a great french style bakery and many other restaurants. A 15 minute walk to the community forest, Arcata Marsh & Bird Sanctuary and to Humboldt State University.
Private fenced outdoor patio with seating.
Master bedroom has a queen bed, 55" smart tv, Yamaha Bluetooth sound bar and a comfortable sitting area, lots of natural light, a large mirrored closet with an iron and ironing board and usb wall charging station by the bed. This bedroom has plenty of space to get ready to go out and go exploring.
Guest bedroom has a queen bed, 40" smart tv, usb charging ports next to the bed and a little game table sitting area, closet and beautiful views of sunsets out the windows.
The bathroom is very roomy and well lit. It is located in main part of the apartment and has a large walk-in shower with porcelain tiles and a marble double vanity. Plush towels, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer and mini soaps are provided for guests.
The kitchen is modern and has lots of counter space and an island for in-kitchen breakfast or meals on comfortable stools. All the appliances are new: 5 burner gas stove with a regular and convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and drawers are fully stocked with all utensils needed for easy cooking or hosting. Small pantry has some start items like: flour, sugar, olive oil, coffee, tea and various cooking spices.
The living room is furnished with warm colors, lots of natural light, artwork and a comfortable sectional couch. A washer and dryer is located in a closet right off the living room area.
Reserved parking spot for 1 vehicle, all other vehicles will have to park on the main roads or in the city parking lot located across the street.
The guest that books this home must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for the duration of the stay. This is a non-smoking, no pets and no party/events apartment.
Blink Security Cameras located on outside of the building facing the gate and the parking lot for the safety of our guests. No cameras are located in the patio area or in the apartment.

We booked this place for move-in at Cal Poly. It is a fantastic place. Everything is remodeled and the owners have thought of everything to make the space inviting. We walked to restaurants and shops as well as the farmers market on Saturday. At just 1 mile away from Cal Poly Humboldt, it was perfect!

My dad and I met up in Arcata for a visit and stayed 2 nights. This apartment is gorgeous and very comfortable. I was so impressed by the attention to detail and amenities to ensure comfort as well as beauty. This property was outstanding and exceeded our every expectation! It was immaculately clean and well stocked in every area! From the beautiful flowers, fruit, chocolate and cold beer on arrival to the ease of checkout it was well worth the cost of the rental. Conveniently located one block off the square in Arcata, you are in walking distance of shopping, restaurants, a grocery store, drug store and bar! We spent 5 days there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! When in the area again, it will be our first choice to stay!

So great being right in town. We walked everywhere in Arcata. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We absolutely love having all of the windows in the bedrooms.

A wonderful property in a great location! Close to downtown with lots of options for eating and shopping. Attention to detail was appreciated and made the stay enjoyable. It looks just like the pictures. The location, couldn't have asked for a better spot. Right downtown. If you want to be close to the downtown action, this is the place for you.
Honestly, I was very happy with the whole experience. From check-in to checkout, it was all very easy. Very friendly hosts, and very responsive. The place was VERY clean. If you want a place really close to downtown, just get this place. You will be happy.

Beautiful unit
The unit was immaculate and appeared to be brand new.
The only issue was that it was downtown so heard loud traffic and loud people. The fan helped drown out some of the noise but still it could be distracting.
Nevertheless, the place felt like a nice home away from home.

Great Stay at Apartment A!
This was an absolutely fabulous apartment and a great find. The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bedrooms are large and have a ton of natural light. The bathroom is huge and has a great rain shower head. The fenced in private patio was a huge bonus! It gets afternoon sun and is a great spot for reading and blowing bubbles. The patio and the door to the apartment required a code to enter and I felt very safe and secure.
You really could not ask for a better location! The apartment is a block away from the town square. Everything is walkable and there are many fun restaurants to choose from. My granddaughter and I both highly recommend the chocolate croissants at Brio. My son and daughter-in-law also took us to The Burger Joint and Los Bagels which have nice outdoor seating. There is a farmers market on Saturdays with tons of local produce and interesting vendors.
I was in Arcata to spend some time with my 3 year old granddaughter. Renee was such a gracious host! She left juice boxes, goldfish crackers, fruit and a bottle of wine for me! She also thoughtfully selected some children's books from her personal collection - even one with my granddaughter's name in the title! Rene really made me feel welcome and I look forward to visiting again!

Second visit
This was our second stay at Apartment A while visiting our son in Arcata. As before, we found the unit to be clean and welcoming. It is one of the nicest VRBO's we've stayed at (and we have stayed at many.) I can't think of any improvements needed and we won't hesitate to stay again.

Best VRBO Ever
This is definitely one of the nicest properties I have stayed at using VRBO. The host made everything perfect, and no detail was left undone. The place is perfectly situated to downtown coffee and cafes. The host had prepared the place perfectly, and the layout with two bedrooms on separate sides of the house was ideal for privacy and noise. I would give it a more than 5 stars if I could!

We had a lovely time at Renee’s place in Arcata. The apartment was the perfect home base for all the fun things to do in the area. The space is beautiful and comfortable. It was so nice being able to do laundry and the internet was fast. Renee is a very gracious host, providing advice on activities and even leaving a few snacks and beverages for us on arrival. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.

We had a really nice time staying at this location. Owners are very nice and the apt is great! We especially loved the art in the wall. It’s downtown Arcata so super easy to get around by foot and access to the freeway is close if you’re headed north into the redwoods.

Such a great apartment! It was sparklng clean and in the perfect location. One block from the plaza and close to beaches, forest and marsh.
The owners really go above and beyond to ensure that anything you need is there. Loved the special touches like fruit and flowers. Very well stocked kitchen had everything needed to cook. Especially welcome during this time.
