About this house rental
Our rental is a one level beautiful home, at the base of Desert Mountain, on a family ranch, established in 1955. Abbott creek flows through our ranch, and is filled with tiny brook trout. Our private location is three miles from Hungry Horse Reservoir, and eight miles from the Glacier National Park entrance.
We are nestled off of Spotted Bear Road, a quiet, and gorgeous setting on twenty two, private acres, with national forests hugging our property. Very private home, with endless natural surroundings.
Our floor plan is open, with a spacious professional kitchen, and large, comfortable living room. Twenty three foot ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows, to bring the outdoors in.
Walking, hiking, riding, and all wonderful outdoor activities await.
Horses, and many other wild, and native animals, give a great feel, and entertainment. We are proud to share our family ranch with you, your friends and family.

I stay at vbro often and this place was amazing! Everything you need for a perfect get away! To me beds are important, and the mattresses were better than mine!!! The online description doesn’t do The property justice, it’s better than that. Book it, you’ll be glad you did

We stayed for 7 days with our son and daughter in law to hike GNP --- Melissa, Beau and Family were so friendly and communicating with them was so easy. Their home is absolutely AMAZING!! it was so clean, well laid out and stocked with everything we needed. It's so incredibly beautiful!! All cabinets are marked so you are not searching for what you are looking for. The tall windows in the living room are awesome as you can watch the night sky with all the bright stars. We were blown away by Melissa‘s attention to detail in her beautiful home. She really has thought of everything from labels on the drawers to bear spray to Bluetooth speakers this place has it all! It is sparkling, clean and very well appointed. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking in this private oasis. In short, this has been the absolute best experience we’ve ever had in a VRBO!

Our stay at this custom home in West Glacier was absolutely incredible! Every detail was carefully thought out, and everything we could possibly need was readily available and easy to find. Melissa truly doesn’t skip a beat in ensuring her guests have everything they need for a perfect stay. The home is beautifully decorated with a flawless layout, and the location was so perfect to access the West Glacier entrance. The bathroom products were a great touch, and the beds were so very comfortable. We also loved the gas grill and had a blast soaking in the hot tub while stargazing. My husband described the home as 'baller,' and we definitely loved every bit of our stay. We’d recommend it to anyone and can’t wait to return. Thanks for having us!

You never quite know with these things, but Melissa's place was as exactly as awesome as the photos online. It's tucked at the back of the property very close to the family's house, but screened by trees in such a way that the proximity was a positive rather than a negative. A few days into our stay, we ran out of ice and they were kind enough to walk some over for us!
We had the opportunity to meet several family members and 2 of the dogs and everyone was incredibly hospitable and really nice to talk to. Melissa was responsive throughout the entire process and made everything about as easy as it could possibly be.
So not only was the house beautiful, but so proximate to all the things. It was maybe 10 minutes from the West Glacier park entrance and within ~30 minutes of Columbia Falls, Kalispell, and even Whitefish. There's so much to see and do and it's all so close by. At night, we loved sitting on the porch with a drink and staring at the sky before going to bed.

The property was extremely well maintained. We enjoyed the spa, grill, gourmet kitchen, and ease of access to glacier. Kids had a fantastic time. It was everything we wanted and more.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was very clean and the host provided many extras such as bear spray and coolers. Everything is organized and labeled. The views from the property are beautiful and we watched deer every morning. Highly recommend this property!

Melissa and Beau’s property is so stunning. Tucked away on a quiet piece of land you are surrounded by natural beauty. The garden is lovely and you can watch the sun rise and set and it is just stunning and so peaceful. In 15 minutes you are at the entrance to the park. We loved the location and setting. But the house inside is the real winner. Beautifully appointed. Unbelievably well stocked this home had everything we could have asked for on this trip. We prepared most of our meals here. Enjoyed the grill and hot tub. Loved the large windows in the family room allowing us to enjoy nature even when we were inside. Melissa and Beau were wonderful to work with and very responsive. We could not recommend a Vrbo more enthusiastically than this property.

This house is AWESOME!!! The hosts have made this house a "snuggle in and be comfortable and feel welcome home ". I cant say enough about how warm, welcoming, and stocked with all kinds of helpful little items. My husband and I truly enjoyed staying here.

On vacation with friends to Glacier National Park. We chose this cabin due to proximity to the park, but we were blown away by the cleanliness, organization, and overall beauty of the cabin and property. We were made to feel very welcome when we checked in by the amenities provided by the hosts. My friends and I were so impressed by the cabin that we purchased some of the products used for our own homes. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to visit GNP…you won’t be disappointed!

I can’t say enough positive things about this VRBO. The home has everything for a comfortable stay close to the west entrance. The owner thought of everything and the home was so clean. The beds are very comfortable and we enjoyed watching the deer every night right outside.

Excellent property and Outstanding Hosts.
Beautiful home in country away from crouds surrounded by trees and views of mountains. Home was fully stocked with high end appliances and every cooking tool imaginable. Excellent beds and linens. Nice hot tube . Deer and elk visited frequently.
Hosts were friendly, accommodating and very nice people.
Couldn't be more satisfied. Highly recommended for those that want a pieceful location out of town but close to park and everything else

Clean, great location to anything you’d want to get to, great layout of home with furniture and beds you actually want to sit and sleep on. The kitchen is very open and completely stocked, makes it very easy for cooking meals or doing quick meals on the go. All of this makes it easy with children. Will absolutely come back, and I have to mention the cleanliness one more time. Finally, the hosts are incredibly nice and accommodating, really makes the whole stay as great as it is.

Stony Broke Ranch was amazing as was our host, Melissa. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Melissa provided many little extras (craft soaps!), including every kitchen amenity you could imagine. It was such a pleasure to come back to the house after adventuring in the park all day, to grill trout dinners, watch the sunset and wait for the stars to light up the amazingly dark skies above. We have stayed in many rental properties over the years and Stony Broke Ranch is definitely one of our favorites.

Our stay at Stony Broke Ranch was wonderful! The house is beautiful and the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Melissa does a great job of furnishing the house with items that you might not think about and has the whole house organized. She truly wants your stay to be a wonderful experience! We had a great time visiting with Melissa and her husband. If (more like when) we return to Glacier, we will definitely stay at the Stony Broke Ranch again.

My wife and I booked the Stoney Brook Ranch for a long weekend with my parents. It was truly an unbelievable experience for us all. Melissa was incredibly helpful and the home had every amenity we needed. It was the perfect location for us to get to Whitefish and to Glacier National Park for our adventures. We loved the peaceful setting of the home - as well as the hospitality of our host. We will cherish the memories we made here forever.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful home! It is remote and very private, but only 15 mins to the West Glacier park entrance and the perfect place from which to explore from Whitefish to the GTTSR to the Northfork area and more. The kitchen is well equipped to cook even elaborate meals (stocked with great cookware, spices, etc) The entire home is organized and stocked to make you feel at home (or better!) Melissa has thought of everything. I have stayed in many homes and this is one of the best that we have been blessed to be able to share for a little while!

This house and location was absolutely perfect for our vacation with friends. Th home has a great layout for two couples traveling together. The distance into town for groceries and shopping in Whitefish - to exploring and hiking through Glacier National Park was also perfect. The home was spotless and has every amenity needed. It was so nice to not have to buy the little things needed for our week's stay. We ended every evening on the lawn under the stars and we can't thank Melissa and her husband enough for sharing their beautiful property. We hope to make it back someday!

Where do I begin? This place was AMAZING! We will for sure come stay again on our next Montana vacation. The home was ready for us when we arrived and was exactly (actually even better than) what the pictures showed! They had everything you could need and had it so well organized that you could find exactly what you were looking for. The floor plan worked out perfect for our family and we loved how peaceful it was and the amazing views we had. We enjoyed watching the kids play in the well landscaped and manicured yard! Easy travel to West Glacier entrance! Melissa was so helpful and responsive and they had a book full of helpful information regarding places around town and how things worked in the home. It felt like a home away from home. We were sad to leave! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Stoney Brook Ranch is absolute perfection! I could right a book on this place and how Melissa and her family thought of EVERYTHING! We stayed here with our teen boys and one set of grandparents while visiting Glacier National Park located about 10 minutes away. We were first taken by the property. It is a beautiful setting and the grounds are gorgeous and perfectly kept. The horses, creek and fire pit brought us lots of enjoyment as well as enjoying wine in the Adirondack chairs before dinner. The home itself truly AMAZING in every way. It is so beautifully decorated it could be in a magazine! The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you could possibly need. The kitchen is truly a chef's kitchen filled with top of the line cooking tools and as an added and helpful bonus, each drawer and cabinet is labeled. The pantry is stocked with staples like coffee, spices, oils, flour and sugar....And the best part is they also had a few snacks and all the ingredients for S'mores!!! The sitting area had super comfortable chairs and couches and had the most amazing view of the stunning mountains. Communication with Melissa was timely, accurate and informative. But the absolute best part of the whole trip was meeting Melissa. She is truly lovely and we enjoyed talking with her about the area and the history of the property. We will definitely be back and plan to stay in touch with her (and hope she will come decorate our home :o))

This place was spot on, 210% perfect. The house was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need and more. Not to mention the warm and beautiful decor gives a luxurious feel as well. The property was a perfect location for us from Glacier NP, about 15 minutes. The location felt secluded and serene, without actually being too far away from everything. Lovely mountain view and grounds to sit outside and enjoy.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to come to the area. It is beautiful with all of the comforts you could ever want and need. I can't imagine there are too many other properties around better than this one.

We had the best stay. My now wife and I stayed here to be close to an adjacent property where we were getting married. We could not have asked for a better home to be in during the build-up to our big day. The host was very communicative and was able to make us feel right at home. We would absolutely stay here again when we visit for our anniversary.

What a hidden gem! Beautiful property with every and any amenity you could possibly want. Melissa is so sweet and accommodating; she makes you feel right at home in her home. Every detail is thoughtfully executed with a luxurious spa/resort feel. So close to Glacier and a very close, very nice campground for the inlaws up route 2. The horses and creek were so fun to see! The views, spectacular. If you are at all hesitant....don't be, you will not be disappointed. The beds were lush and very comfy after long hikes. Melissa even goes the extra mile to provide home made soaps! You could not possibly want for anything in this gorgeous space!!!

Our family of 4 found this home to be absolutely perfect.
Up a gravel road, past a small horse farm, set on a slight hill against a running stream, and only 12 minutes from the west park entrance, this home provided a peaceful, and remote stay in the Glacier area.
The owner is meticulous and has clearly thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The home is bright, spacious. The kitchen is tastefully labeled and stocked with everything you need and the bedding is clean, plush and mattresses are very comfortable. The outdoor space, with a picnic table and adirondack chairs and the stocked firepit against the stream, was wonderful in the morning and extended our evenings outdoors under the stars.
The house is also only minutes away from a local grocery store and several local restaurants that we enjoyed.
We are a family of 4, with an 8 &10 yr old. They slept in the guest room together to keep away the bears, but there is a large and comfortable queen sized lounge also in the main room that serves as a third bed.
We wouldn't hesitate to rent this home again and highly recommed the property.

Don't debate, book this place! By far our favorite place we've ever rented. Beautiful property, extremely clean, no little detail was left out. Bonus is that we saw lots of turkeys and deer in the backyard. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be renting again!
