Einfache Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage direkt am See

Sehr schöne Lage, direkt am See. Direkte Nachbarn sind es hier nur die Kühe. Wer Natur und Ruhe mag und auch mit einfacheren Bedingungen zufrieden ist (Campingfreunde), wird es hier mögen.

Das Haus und die Ausstattung sind recht einfach gehalten. Das Inventar ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Bei längeren Regen hat es an einer Stelle etwas in das Wohnzimmer geregnet. Die Fenster und Türen schließen nicht dicht ab. Wenn man nicht genau darauf achtet, alle Tür und Fensterläden zu schließen, kommen Insekten durch die Schlitze unter den Fenstern in die Wohnung, sobald man Licht anmacht. Die Schotterstraße wird bei Regen ausgewaschen, sodass man mit einigen niedrigliegenden Mietwagen Probleme beim befahren bekommen kann.

Lovely cottage

The cottage is nestled right in at the edge of the lake, birds in front, cows in back! Beautiful views, quiet evenings on the huge front porch overlooking the lake. Instructions were clear and helpful and everything we needed was available. We only stayed two nights but decided it would be an awesome place for a week! There is so much to see and do just short drives from the cottage.

Charming cottage with incredible views.

10/10 for location and view. There is a stunning view of the lake. We loved having breakfast on the porch with an incredible view. The cottage is located close to Sete Cidades down a quiet dirt road. It is one of the few lakefront properties.

You sacrifice a bit of comfort for the incredible views. The cottage is charming but must have had some water damage as there is a smell of mildew. The beds are not very comfortable. However, I’m glad we chose the cottage because of the location and views.

Charming cottage with an amazing view

The cottage is very charming. The veranda with the wonderful view of Lagoa Azul was our favorite space. We would definitely return.

The location was spectacular, especially when the weather is clear.

Loved the front porch with the beautiful view of the lake. It was quiet and remote. We enjoyed watching the windsurfers on the lake and the proximity to easy walking paths. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked very well.

The beds were old and very uncomfortable. There was a slight musty odor when we first arrived before opening up the windows.

A charming cottage beside the crater lake

Very scenic and beautiful place with hiking trails around the crater nearby.

Some things in the house are in need of minor renovation. The gates are narrow and it makes driving in uphill challenging if you are not used to it. We would also expect having consumables renewed instead of a couple of unused hair conditioners or decaf coffee capsules.

Location Location Location

Fantastic cottage. Location is out of this world. Host was very helpful with great communication. Very reasonable price. The town is a short drive away with restaurants and a couple of mini stores to get your essentials. If flying in and hiring a car like we did then there is a big shopping centre just 10 mins from the airport and after you have done a shop it is only a half hour drive to the cottage from Ponta Delgada.

It was magical staying in a scenic, peaceful, and calm space; we loved it!

the location was amazing! It had gorgeous views in the day and of the stars at night. it had everything we needed: comfortable bed, responsive host, lots of space (especially in the living areas), heaters in the bedroom were effective, and a good little kitchen. it was helpful to have a driveway because we needed a car for sure.

there was an odor in the bathroom, might have been a plumbing issue, but the bathroom functioned fine. also there was a dripping kitchen faucet.

We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The location is fantastic! We literally spent hours on the front porch enjoying the view. The place is very nice, but the view is fantastic!

The twin beds are a little hard. Otherwise the place is wonderful!

Nice and large cottage close to Lagoa Azul

A large house close to Lagoa Azul shore in a peaceful location a few minutes by car to the village. The furniture and decoration is rustical but charming and typical. The terrace with view on the caldeira and the lake is amazing. The house is clean with all usefull amenities. The fireplace must be great in winter time but smells a bit as usual for an open hearth.

Very good

The location is world class. There is loads to do in the locale. The local bars and restaurants are okay for eating and drinking.

The furniture in the villa was past its best. The hot tap was very difficult to use as it kept coming off when used. Saying that it didn't spoil our stay.

The location is AMAZING! You are staying on the shores of a crater lake inside of a volcano! Pretty hard to beat!

Beautiful base for hiking and exploring Sete Cidades.

The location right on the lakefront, and the view from the porch and living room were superb! The house is charming and efficient. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We were hoping to have a fire in the fireplace as we arrived on a stormy night, but sadly there was no wood.

Beautiful area on Lakeside and great house.

Paradise. Set on the edge of the lake. The views are great. The house is well-equipped and warm and has a huge communal area. Good wi-fi. Peaceful and relaxing.

Some shutter locks/bolts were hard to operate.

Amazing cottage outside of the town right on the lake - wonderful views!!

This house was amazing!! It was easy to find and the keys are in a lockbox so check in was a breeze. The house had a great view of the lake and was very peaceful and quiet, plus great view of the stars at night. The host was great with responding quickly, the door handle on the bathroom had some issues and she had a maintenance person stop by the same day to fix it! The heaters work great, plus with a fireplace we barely needed to use them. It was a wonderful little cottage and perfect and we would 100% stay there again!

It's not really a complaint, but beware the driveway is steep and narrow so a large car might be challenging to park if you're not comfortable driving. We didn't have any issues with our small rental car though.
