Lovely surprise stay in Niksic

Great location close to the bus station & the entertainment district. Danilo is a very friendly & welcoming host. Nice cosy atmosphere at this hostel.

Besssst in Niksic!

Danilo was the best!!!!! He went above and beyond to help us with literally everything! The hostel is clean and it has a really good hairdryer! I loved that finally I could dry my hair after washing it :D Wifi works perfectly, there is a cute garden in the house. There were a couple of other guests in the hostel and Danilo made sure we are all divided between the 3 rooms, thanks to this me and my friend had basically a private room :) This was a very kind act, as he could just put all of us guests in one room - less cleaning for the hostel.

The room faces a street, so it is really noisy all the time, including the night. We had earplugs, so that helped us to sleep. Room number 3 is the one that faces the garden, during booking you might ask for a bed there ;)

Conveniently-located clean place hostel but WORST customer service

The only positive thing about the property was its location, it was near the bus station and was very convenient if you’re staying in Niksic for a quick stop.

The property had self-check-in, which in a way made it convenient but on the contrary, no one is there to collect your payment (since they don’t accept credit cards, which was big red flag in the first place) and you’d have to organize time and place for the owners or whoever was in charge to meet you. For the price you pay, you also have to put your own bed sheets and pillow and duvet cases. I’ve never stayed in a hostel where it was also “self service” when it comes to sheets but still pay for a full high price. And for a small town in Montenegro, they truly overcharge guests even in the off season. The owner tried to meet up twice to collect the payment but was always changing her mind, which was very inconvenient for travelers who would want to enjoy their holiday. In the end, they asked to leave the money in the Mailbox. I had to leave early to catch the 5am bus and forgotten to leave the payment, we communicated everything through the Booking messaging platform and I’ve asked if sending the payment through online bank payment is possible, to no avail. The owner became very hostile and threatening, and also accusing me of running away of their money. In the end, payment was made through a local bank transfer. I’ve been traveling for the last seven years and this was the WORST booking experience I’ve ever had. To the owners of this horrible hostel, I hope you learn to practice providing customer service to your guests if you want to survive in this industry.

Family-owned hostel in the heart of Nikšić

The owners made me feel so home that I was actually so upset that I hadn't stayed longer in Nikšić and will definitely be staying here next time I'm in Nikšić. The city is a little less well-known and won't have an many tourists as the sea or the mountains, so it was great to get to know and meet some other foreigners who were also staying in town and also learn the history of this family-owned hostel 🥰

Most Everyone Transits 🚂 🚌, But I Stayed Longer And Chilled 😎

Super nice couple are the hosts. I enjoyed talking with them. They keep everything clean and safe. A tiny grocery is right next door, and a bigger one is on the way to the 🚂 train or 🚐 bus station (near each other, ~8 minutes away if you meander). Everything here I liked. 🤩👍🏼

Oh.. Now I have to leave! 🥺

Comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Host is super friendly and gives good recommendation for eating in the area. Coming to Niksic, I'd like to stay here again.

Excellent location for this clean hostel

Lovely and clean: bedroom, shower room, kitchen, everywhere. Excellent location being only minutes from the railway and bus stations and right next door to a small supermarket as well as directly opposite a good bakery. There's a much larger supermarket near the stations. Nice warm bedroom in the winter months which is very important. Extremely helpful and friendly host. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Bed sheets too small so just become twisted during sleeping. Elasticated corners like the mattress covers would solve this problem. It is stated on booking dot com that cards are accepted but it was cash only. Please either change the details on the booking site or have the facilities as stated.

Generally disappointing hostel

The hostel itself was really basic. For instance, no towels were included. The cleanliness was okay, but not good. Overall good enough facilities, but not great. A bigger issue was that the hostel was really cold. The room had AC so that was okay, but the rest (including the bathroom which was not in the room) was freezing, especially in the morning. Also, the water for the showers took 45 minutes (!) to get warm... Another thing was that there were no-one in the hostel, which meant we had to pay to a mailbox which obviously didn't have any change for us... Not a great hostel and not great value either, though I suspect that it could be cheap for groups (we were only two).

Great location!

The location was a 5 minute walk (or less) from the bus station, the grocery store and the city center. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. There was only one other person in the hostel when I was there so it wasn’t as social as I was hoping it to be but I was only staying one night so it wasn’t a big deal. The shower towels could be larger.

I stayed for one night in Evropa Hostel. The hostel is super clean and new, the owner is really nice. The location is just 2 walking minutes to the city center, where you can hang out in a hundred of diffferent bars. If not, you can just chill in the garden area of the hostel :)

New, modern hostel. Placed near everything worth of seeing, so you can go anywhere from there walking. Store and bakery are in front of hostel. There is big backyard with grass and bench, nice for relaxation.
