Saubere naturnahe Erholungsoase

Das Zimmer war schön hergerichtet, vor allem der eigene Sitzplatz vor dem Zimmer lud zum entspannen ein. Das Frühstück wurde frisch zubereitet und ist nur zu empfehlen. Die Familie war immer bemüht zu helfen, trotz kleiner Sprachbarriere.

Wenn man etwas sehen will von der Gegend, sollte man sich einen Roller mieten, da die TukTuk Fahrten eher teuer sind in der Gegend.

Very friendly people to stay with!

A very friendly host and it has a great breakfast freshly made by his wife each day. The room at is very decent standard for Sri Lanka

There was some misunderstanding about the price, booking.com needs to be a bit clearer to them about the discounts they offer (like genius) to avoid disappointment for both parties.

Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ist es angemehm, vor allem, wenn man seine Ruhe haben will.

Das Zimmer ist sauber und die Terrasse ist sehr schöne. Außerdem gibt es warmes Wasser in der Dusche. Das essen (sowohl Frühstück, als auch Abendessen) war lecker.

Die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer ist etwas schwierig. Nur er spricht gebrochenes Englisch. Seine Frau spricht kein Wort.

Chambre avec Tuktuk

Sumudu est souriant et il a son propre Tuktuk donc il est toujours près à vous proposer un transport ou une visite avec lui à prix raisonnable. Si vous voulez un séjour clé-en-main avec une panoplie d'activités et de visites de la région c'est parfait ! Vous n'aurez pas à chercher, le tuktuk vous attend à l'entrée ! Si vous êtes plus indépendant dans votre façon de voyager, vous allez peut-être ressentir une légère pression/incompréhension à savoir pourquoi vous préférez marcher ou prendre l'autobus plutôt que de faire appel à ses services. La chambre est petite mais confortable, la douche propre et chaude (à partager avec quelques grenouilles et fourmis mais ça semble être la norme à Sigiriya en saison des pluies). 30 minutes à pied sur un beau sentier pour se rendre à la billetterie de Lion's Rock.

Notre grande déception se situe au niveau des déjeuners. Bien qu'ils étaient magnifiquement cuisinés par sa femme, les déjeuners srilankais qu'on nous a servis (riz frit, nouilles au légumes...) ne correspondaient pas du tout aux images de fruits luxuriants, smoothies, toasts et pot de thé qu'on retrouve dans les photos de Booking (14 images sur 42 quand même), qui étaient l'une des raisons pour laquelle nous avions choisi ce logement.

Amazing experience

Generous and lovely family. Excellent room in the midle of the jungle with a perfect terrace. We could taste a delicious Sri Lanka's typical food.

The room is clean, everything seems new. The room has a private entrance with patio. Big portion for breakfast. The owner is very caring and hospitable. I advise you to immediately take his phone number and call him if you cannot catch a tuk-tuk to return home after a walk, it is dangerous to walk in Sigiriya after dark, and it can be very difficult to catch a tuk-tuk there

There is little frogs in bathroom, but I heard that it is common problem in Sigiria, they went away on a second day.

Highly recommended

There is a good quite environment and peaceful place.sumudu and his family also very kind and helpful persons.all the facilities are available( food,transport and room facilities ) and very close distence to the sigiriya.highly recommended❤️❤️ thanks mr sumudu and your family for help to us.👍🙏

location, you can ask the owner full board meal, you can request food that you prefer, the owner has a tuktuk, he can drop and pick you up as well, he gives good advise for places to go around Sigiriya and for your next destination. don’t expect a hotel experience but the owner will give it.

Superb

Very nice accomodation and the host is super friendly. The breakfast was delicious! Would definitely recommend this homestay if you want to stay somewhere near Sigiriya rock or Pidurangala rock

So it was just fantastic. Sumudu and his family is so lovely. They made our stay in Sigirya spacial. Sumudu have a own Tuktuk and brought us to the things we want to see. He showed us great places. Sumudus wife is one of the best cookers ever. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was always so tasty and more than enough! We can only recommend that you get to know these lovely people personally. Very good

It was quiet and clean. It had a porch to sit and eat outside and comfortable bedding. The location was good - it was close to Sigiriya and good for day trips to Anduraphura and Polonnaruwa. Sumudu has a tuk tuk he could arrange transport. We saw the jungle fowl, in Sumudu’s yard. Sumudu tried to be a good host, constantly checking that everything was ok.

Great place and very clean

Great place,very clean, great location walking distance to the Lion rock, amazing food, the Owner is a great man, he also took me around for excursions, He drove me to sigiriya village tour. . Thanks again.
