Very small!

The location was great for access to the Great Tythe Barn and there was loads of parking by the property.

The facilities were very minimal and the shower was tiny and not much more than a drip.

A good location for what I needed as part of a family celebration in Tetbury.

Excellent location for town centre.

A mirror upstairs would have been helpful. A coat hook downstairs would have been useful.

Location and charm

I seemed to be only able to use one device on the wifi. I would have preferred two especially given how difficult it is to book taxis there.

fantastic snug accommodation brilliant for an overnight stay. location is spot on 👍

absolutely fantastic location so close to town. So clean snug but what we expected. Really enjoyed our stay , thank you 😊

Disappointed by absence of basic facilities and all very cramped

Property was clean (but see below). Location good.

Lots! 1. Parking space big enough only for Smart car or equivalent. 2. Nowhere to hang coats (why not a couple of hooks on the wall behind the front door?) 3. No coffee table to put coffee or a glass of wine on when sitting on sofa. 4. No TV (we only realised this too late); not even a radio. 5. Nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom (how about a shelf beside the basin). 6. No toilet roll holder!! 7. Nowhere to put shampoo/soap inside the shower cubicle. 8. Nowhere to put clothes in bedroom: no chest of drawers (though plenty of room for one) and only one dry-cleaner-style wire hanger (how much do plastic hangers cost?). 9. Only one bedside lamp (though two bedside units). 10. Sponge/scourer in kitchen was at least 3 months old and no spare. 11. Long-term stains on curtain, downstairs roller blind and both rugs (upstairs and downstairs). 12. Left handrail on stairs virtually useless (kept jamming fingers in it) and right handrail stopped halfway. 13. Someone else was putting rubbish in 'our' bins (including paper and cardboard in the black bin!) 14. Arrived to find puddle on bathroom floor; worked out where leak was coming from and put bowl under it; reported it and owner couldn't be bothered to fix it before we left (4 days later!). 15. Oh, and no toaster either.

Wonderful little stopover

Amazing location if attending wedding at Tythe Barn

Basic

Location was great, lucky we have a small car to fit on the cosy drive. Instructions were great prior arrival and we were able to check in a bit earlier.

Very cold, exposed brick and uncarpeted floor was quite tricky to hop around. Heaters were ok, but definitely needed to be on all day. It needs a bit of love, I understand paid for what we got, but I think simple things can be done to make it a tad more comfortable. It also smelt of dog / cigarettes when we arrived which was a shame for first impression. We actually didn't stay our second night in the end, just a bit too chilly for me.

Great stay for a wedding at Great Tythe Barn

Had everything we needed and the hosts were extremely helpful before and during our stay. Super close to the Great Tythe Barn where we were at a wedding, so very convenient.

A bit grubby on the floor in places and while the stairs didn't bother us, it certainly makes it a bit tricky if you need the loo in the night, so you should be aware of it.

I loved the accommodation, was warm and comfortable

A really lovely compact apartment with everything you need. Contact with the owners was very positive, guidance on the use of the place was very thorough. Bed was very comfortable. Heating was good( just used it a little to take the edge off the cool morning. I used the heating element provided to do some simple cooking.

The stairs to the bedroom were very steep but as I wasn’t drinking during the weekend, I had no issues with it. I was fine with it but the road from the property up to the main area of town was very steep and would be difficult for older people not so steady on their feet.

Tiny but lovely.

Great location in the centre of Tetbury, with easy car parking. (The property’s own private parking is ok for a small car, but plenty of unrestricted on-street parking for bigger vehicles like ours.) Comfortable bed. Good pub (Royal Oak) with real ale very close by. Good wi-fi. Good value.

Nothing to dislike really. It’s shortcomings are clearly stated by the owners e.g. no tv or washing machine, and very steep steps to bedroom, so study the description carefully and you won’t be disappointed.

We have stayed here many times as we love Tetbury. Not far from Bath and Bristol.

excellent location

great location, we were at a wedding at the thyme barn and it was a 10 min walk, town was close by and easy to walk the dogs on the trail.

a lot smaller than we were expecting but it was ok. Bed wasn’t very comfy.

Loved our break and already looking to book again

This perfect little place was exactly as described. Absolutely fabulous location for getting into Tetbury centre and lovely country walks just paces away. The communication from the owner was faultless and we knew exactly what we were getting. If you want a huge, luxurious place to stay, this is not the place to book. If you want compact, quirky charm with easy access to the pubs, restaurants and other delights of Tetbury, The Folly is ideal.

The communications from the owner suggested that previous bookers had clearly not looked at the pictures and read the description. For this to reflect in the reviews is unfair as there is clearly no TV - go out and enjoy your surroundings, and the stairs are steep - look at the photos!

Great location. Property needs a little TLC.

Location was great, in the heart of Tetbury. (The Folly was a bit tricky to find though - the SATNAV sent us to the end of the street that was pedestrians only so we were driving around for a bit). It was good that we were able to park right outside the property. The bed was quite comfortable.

There was quite a strong cigarette smell when we entered the property. And I noticed some cobwebs and dog hairs on the carpets. The property has some nice features but seems unfinished - pipes and electrics exposed, the bathroom ceiling needs painting etc
