Welcome to our Blue Grotto on the beautiful Anna Maria Island. We hope you will enjoy every minute of your stay in our 3700 square feet beach house with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (VRBO is saying 2 for some reason and we are working on fixing). Our unique property features 2 living areas and 2 full kitchens which makes it great for both Team Sleep In and Team Early Riser to all vacation together. Our little slice of heaven is perfect for family vacays, wedding guests, fishing or golfing trips or that annual girls trip! You are only 6 houses to the beach or right out the back door to the large pool*. You will want to return year after year!
Location, Location, Location! The locals call this area the "Golden Triangle" because ALL THE THINGS are right around the corner. A short 5 minute walk to the AMI Beach Cafe serving my Dad’s favorite all-you-can-eat pancakes. A quick 2 minute golf cart ride to grab a cold beer at the Freckled Fin Irish Pub or 5 minutes in the other direction for some ice cream at my personal fav- Two Scoops! Adult Night Out...don't worry, The Doctor's Office is crafting cocktails only 2 minutes away. If things get ugly at the Ugly Grouper, you are only 2 minutes from home. If you want to pick up some of the freshest seafood around at Capt Anthony's Seafood Market and grill by the pool then your side dishes from Publix are only 4 short minutes from home. Jump on the free Island Trolley at the end of the block to check out Coquina Beach or Anna Maria City Pier. Feeling like a homemade cinnamon roll just about the size of your head then head straight to Ginny’s & Jane E’s Cafe. You won’t want to miss the sunset at The Sand Bar and while you are there...order a pina colada with a dark rum floater! Historic Bridge Street will keep the whole gang entertained for hours purchasing all the sharks teeth, alligator sculptures, shell bracelets, bathing suits or singing along with the band at Island Time Bar and Grill. It shouldn’t even be legal to skip a fried grouper sandwich on the deck at Tide Tables. Some would argue that the fried shrimp at Starfish are life changing.
Southern hospitality and a chill vibe welcomes all ages at the AMI Blue Grotto. Enjoy an afternoon game on the outdoor tv while the kids swim in the large pool. With only steps to the sugar white sand beach, the Blue Grotto is so convenient to pop back and forth for that true island style living. Who will rule the shuffleboard table on this trip? Who will be the first to spot a Manatee or perhaps one of the 5 different species of Sea Turtles? A quick 1 minute walk in the evening to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets from the most beautiful white sand beach is the best stress reliever that I have ever found. Come back home to rest in one of the 4 king bedrooms or 2 double twin bedrooms....each with their own television.

There are not enough words to describe this beautiful home!! We had six people in our party. The Blue Grotto accommodated us beyond what we expected. Beautifully decorated, clean and just so comfortable. There was one minor thing that needed repair and Dominique had his handyman over within 24 hrs to fix. All appliances were in great working order. With 2 fully equipped kitchens we opted to cook dinners every night. Plenty of cookware and tools. The Island Fish market is not far from the house and had all the seafood we wanted. We have stayed at other VRBO’s on AMI in the past but none of them can compare to the Blue Grotto. 5 min walk to the beautiful beach. A wagon and beach chairs are available. Pool toys also were available and clean for the young kiddos. Very nice pool area with 3 umbrellas and plenty of seating. Dominique and Kelly are absolutely wonderful hosts!! Don’t pass up the chance to stay at the Blue Gotto!!!

We had two families stay in the house and it was perfect for our group. Kitchens were well stocked, the outdoor space was great and so close to the beach! 2 living areas and 2 kitchens were amazing. So clean! Will definitely be coming back.

It was a family vacation. We had 10 people and the house was great. There was plenty of room for all of us. It had everything we needed. We all loved the pool - especially the kids! The hosts were very helpful. We would recommend this house.

We had a multi-family trip at the blue grotto, 12 of us-ages 8-45. Prior to going we had a family emergency and the hosts were excellent in working with us to make sure we were able make the trip with the circumstances. The house has nice size rooms and kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. We absolutely loved the location!! It is in the middle of the island so not too far from Anna Maria Pier or Bradenton beach. However, the best thing about this house is the quick walk to the beach. It really is less than a 5 minute walk from the beautiful beach!!! The streets are not busy and quiet so we all felt very safe. I would absolutely recommend the blue grotto for a multi-family stay, we hope to make it back soon!!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean and comfortable. We have stayed on the island many times and this was one of our favorite stays. We will definitely be back. The owners were very easy to work with as well.

We stayed in this lovely home during the week of Christmas with our two daughters and their husbands and four grandchildren ranging in ages from 2-6. The home is perfect providing space and privacy for both families and separate great room spaces for those who want to stay up late or get up early. The neighborhood is quiet, close to the Trolly stop, restaurants and only a 2 minute walk to the beautiful white powder beach. The kitchen was extremely well equipped! The pool was quite enjoyable despite the weather which was a little on the cooler side. You won't be disappointed with your stay in this home. The owners are very responsive should you have any questions. We fell in love with the island and definitely want to return.

We loved the house and location. The attention to detail in the house was perfect. We were happy to find a house that accommodated all of our family members comfortably. We previously had to rent 2 houses. This house was perfect in that you could all gather together on one side or have your privacy if that’s what you prefer. The pool area was very nice for relaxing and watching the Lions win on the outdoor TV. Also, the house is conveniently located near a trolley stop to access most parts of the island. Would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a lovely house in a great location.

Second visit and we had a great time! Loved the location. We were there when it was crazy hot, but had a wonderful time and got to experience everything we wanted. Plenty of space for two families (total of 11 people) and had all the needs. Tons of towels, pool toys and beach stuff!

The blue grotto was a perfect for our size group. Having two kitchens gave us plenty of space to cook and gather. We enjoyed the pool fully and the outdoor TV for a movie night was a bonus! We had a great family reunion.

What a wonderful place for a large group! We are grandparents who traveled with our kids and grandkids.
The two kitchens came in very handy and they were well stocked. We had plenty of beach chairs and the beach was just a short walk away. The owners communicated in a timely manner.

Our family stayed at the Blue Grotto for the third year in a row. It is a wonderful rental for our family of 11. The two living rooms and comfortable six bedrooms made it a great place for us to party together or have some alone time. The pool and location to the beach is truly the BEST!

We can’ came back for the second year in a row. The property is great and everything is in good shape. We had minor things that we needed, communicated with the host, and they were taken care of immediately. We would definitely come again.
The neighborhood cannot be beat. Safe, quiet, and so close to the beach and trolley. Also, plenty of driveway space for multiple families.

Easy to rent and working with the Owners was easy. Loved the location, walk to the beach, shopping,
restaurants, church, everywhere! The beach access was 1 block away, and the beach was BEAUTIFUL! The pool was cleaned and well maintained while we were there and the house was immaculate when we arrived. The house is very well equipped and VERY comfortable! Loved our stay and hope to return!

Nice property with lots of space for multiple families to be in a single unit. Great location a block from the beach - no need to rent a golf cart. Only problem during the stay was the pool heater did not work. The owners refunded us the money for heating the pool and replaced the heater promptly. Unfortunately our stay ended the day the new heater was installed. Price seemed high for the week but that was probably due to the increase in demand with hurricane Ian putting a lot of other rental properties in the Fort Myers area off the market for spring 2023.

This was our second consecutive year staying at the Blue Grotto. For a family of twelve renting both units was perfect. The accommodations were ideal in every way. The house was clean and well suited for our stay. The beach was just a short walk that our young grandchildren could easy navigate. The outside amenities were also perfect. Looking at the outside you may wonder is Blue Grotto a good place to stay? Our group of 8 could not have been happier. The house was fully equipped with all that we needed. The kitchens had all items and the house clean and immaculate. The pool is gorgeous. You will love staying here. The owners were the best!

Family/friends gathering of ladies ranging in age 58-90. Wonderful house. Well supplied with two full kitchens. Had all we needed. Nice short walk to beach. Just perfect. Had a wonderful time. So much so we have already booked for next year. Kelly and Domenici were very responsive whenever contacted. Only suggestion is upgrade to soft close hinges on kitchen cupboard doors or replace missing plastic bumpers. Very noisy cabinets.
Otherwise, perfect house. All on one level which is rare and needed for our active but aging group! :) and handrails in the showers.

Loved the proximity to the beach and the quiet neighborhood. The house is very roomy and 2 kitchens and living areas are definitely a bonus. The pool was very nice and was used daily.

We took our kids and grandkids the week of Thanksgiving and had a great time. The house was great, plenty of room and everyone had 'their' space. The grand kids loved swimming in the pool and the short walk to the beach was great with the kiddos. Highly recommend staying at the Blue Grotto.

Our family had a wonderful time for fall break! We were thankful to be able to visit so soon after Hurricane Ian. Kelly communicated with me through the process of figuring out if it was going to be possible to come.
We found the house to be so comfortable for our family of 12, six being under 10. It had everything we needed and more from beach chairs, toys, and a wagon. Lots of loungers by the pool and plenty of room for the kids to play indoors and out.

This was the second year we stayed at the Blue Grotto and it did not disappoint. The pool and surrounding area has been updated and was great for our family of 11. The teenage boys love having one side of the house basically to themselves and the girls loved the twin beds on the opposite side of the house. There was plenty of room for cooking ,family dinners, playing cards, dancing and tons of family fun. The grocery store, beach shops, restaurants were all nearby. Of course, renting a golf cart made it so much fun for evening trips to the ice cream stores. Our family is already talking about going back next year !

Great location. Short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for a family of 12. Weather was great the entire time. One suggestion is to buy a new infrared gas grill. Would stay there again anytime.

Perfect house for loathe families
Great property for multiple families . having two large kitchens was a life saver for fixing different meal s for different families .Both kitchens were stocked with everything that we needed . The walk to the beach was a short one , even with several toddlers . The pool water was very warm when we arrived so we asked the pool company to adjust the timing of the pump which helped the temperature of the water . The island is small , so restaurants and Publix could be reached easily . We will definitely rent Blur Grotto again next year!

Great location & set-up. Outdoor area is fantastic and had all the essentials you’d need to travel to the beach. I would definitely stay again. Only complaint is some of the beds & pillows were uncomfortable, so I’d travel with mine next time.

Perfect Large Family Home!
If you need lots of space this is your place! The pictures didn’t do this house justice. It was extremely clean and very well maintained with top notch decor. We loved the pool area. Spent each day drinking coffee by the pool and watching kids swim in the morning and then packed up and went to the beach for the afternoons and then again for sunsets. The location of the house made it so easy to go back and forth to the beach. There was anything and everything that we needed in the kitchen and even going to the beach. Very nice beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, beach towels and even a beach wagon. You name it, the owners had it! Very well thought out! The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and new. Loved having keyless entry! We rented a golf cart and would highly recommend this. The kids loved it! The street is very quiet with little traffic. Loved the way the house is set up with 2 different wings. Can be used as a duplex but we used the whole house. The second kitchen came in handy for refrigerator space. When babies napped, they were far enough away from the noise of the pool area. If you are fortunate enough to choose this home, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Dominic and Kelly for helping us make these long lasting memories with our family!!
