Spectacular oceanfront home with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, hot tub, and private yard. Perfect for your group of up to eight! The Freeport Heron House, with grand windows, creates a sense of the spectacular in this beautifully appointed vacation home. Lovely gardens and well-manicured grounds provide the perfect setting for relaxing and enjoying all that Freeport, Maine has to offer. There is a 2-car garage available as well as exterior parking (4 cars maximum).
Entering the home you’ll note the maple flooring and how the ocean-facing windows brighten the open concept living and dining area with sun. If you plan to stay in for an evening there is a 50” flat screen television and a comfortable selection of quality furniture. You will find no shortage of comfort and high quality at this vacation home. In this space you’ll also note the large dining room table which seats 8 and enjoys an expansive view of the ocean. Off the living room you enter a large contemporary kitchen with new major appliances, ample counter space for creating culinary delights and bar seating for 4 at the attached counter.
Through the rear door you step out onto an oceanfront deck and patio equipped with a new Weber propane grill, a wicker lounger set, and a dining table with seating for 8. Provided for your entertainment is a good assortment of inside and outside games. Moving off the porch there is an outdoor hot tub (seasonal) to relax your muscles in after a long day of vacation fun.
There are 2 Queens and a King upstairs and one Queen downstairs master. All beds have brand new (2020) mattresses. The upstairs master suite has a king-size bed, stunning panoramic views to the outer islands and an attached 3-season screen porch room.
A full finished basement provides a space for games and relaxed downtime. Both Ping-Pong and Pool are available for your entertainment.
Area Amenities: 10-minute drive to Wolf's Neck State Park and 10-minute drive to downtown Freeport home of LLBean, many outlets as well as local shopping options. Restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries are numerous. Bring your bike for nice winding roads and water views.
Experience Maine seabirds including American bald eagles, osprey and of course heron, right from the property.
Provided for your convenience are initial supplies of the following: linens, bath towels, washcloths, hand towels and beach towels, dish soap, dish washing soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and basic cable, wireless internet. This house has a DVD player in the living room along with plenty of movies for kids and adults. While we make every effort to assure the accuracy of this listing, as well as the condition of equipment and quality of provided services, we make no implied guarantee of connectivity for wireless internet, or services provided by a third party. That being said, we will do everything in our power to remedy any situation as quickly as possible, and we thank you for your understanding.
The Freeport Heron House is a Saturday to Saturday rental from June 1 st– Sept 30th. From Oct 1 st - May 31 st this property is available for seasonal rental with a monthly rate and possibly long weekends.
Please note: The the owners lock a pantry and closet as well as the bonus room above the garage for personal storage. Also, new furniture is not pictured in all photos.
