About this house rental
As you drive down the long Crepe Myrtle-lined driveway, you realize you are in your own private paradise. As the property opens up you see the tennis court, basketball court and beautiful 4 bedroom, 2 bath house with a large outdoor shower and separate guest cabin with full bathroom. The house is newly remodeled and includes an amply supplied kitchen, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, Wifi and Smart TVs.
Enjoy your days swimming from the private boat dock. Spend your evenings relaxing in the beautiful screened-in porch with vaulted ceilings or making s'mores by the stone firepit - both of which have great water views.

Gas grill available for use on patio only (not to be used on screened-in porch).
Kyak and paddle board are available for use at renter's own risk.
Noodles are located in the boxes on the dock. An umbrella is available for use on the dock and can be found in the closet in the living room of the house.
Recommendation: At night, if you are inside or on screened porch, turn flood lights off to avoid an influx of insects in and around the house. (Flood light switch is the 3rd switch on the right wall just after you enter the house). There is a motion light on the front porch that provides most light needed at night.
Upon departure, please place all towels over the tubs. Please place sheets in a pile on a bed in your room.

This is the perfect place for family gatherings. We book this house for our 30th anniversary and had our family with us. The owners are beyond helpful with everything and want you to enjoy all of the property. Everything from communications to cleanliness was above par. They offer so much with this property, more than what you would think. Perfect for small children with safe places to run to easy level walking area for the grandparents to enjoy. This is definitely a property that we would love to enjoy multiple times a year.

This property has it all and the owners are incredibly detail oriented. This property is quite the gem nestled right on a lake culdesac offering absolute tranquility. The owner was wonderful and quick to answer any questions or concerns, we will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later.

Family vacation
We had an awesome week at Russels retreat. The property exceeded our expectations and Clint is an awesome host. He communicated very well if we had questions. The tennis and basketball court were a lot of fun for our family. The lake is huge and we spent a lot of time wake boarding and skiing. Also had a lot of fun fishing and swimming off the dock. Overall we had a great week and we will definitely go back sometime. This property is definitely a five star vacation home. Thanks again Clint for letting us stay for the week.

The property pictures do not do this place justice! Everything about this place was perfect. My group was there for a fishing tournament for a week. We had 4 boats with trucks, another truck with a trailer and 2 other vehicles there and we had plenty of room. The main house is a beautiful place,plenty of room for my group of 9 guys between it and the cabin. The cabin was a great place for the younger guys in our group to stay in so they could have a place of their own and play ping pong on the table that is in the cabin. If I could give this property more stars I would . This property is a great getaway away from everything, it's so peaceful back in the woods at the end of the long driveway.

Great Family Vacation
This trip was a bit different for us. Our group typically goes to the same place in Canada each year but for obvious reason we could not this year. Found this property on VBRO and headed south. The property was everything as stated on the VBRO sight and more. Well maintained, clean, secluded and just a great environment for a vacation. Mr. Russell was very available if we needed anything. The lake is huge and beautiful. The location of this property is awesome located back in the cove and off the mainstream traffic. Would highly recommend, we will be back at some time.

Fantastic Family Vacation
We had an amazing time at this fantastic place. Our trip started off a little rocky as there was a major mess up with VRBO! We had booked the place from Saturday to Saturday, however it was not suppose to let us do that. We were suppose to be coming Sunday to Sunday! So when we arrived with all our stuff on Saturday, I had the privilege to meet the owner and his family as they were all staying there that week. We headed home for the night and returned the next day. It was SUPER inconvenient, however it was not Clint's fault as it was an error on the the booking site. He also made it right by promising a discounted rate and is working with VRBO to make that happen.
With all that being said we had the MOST amazing time. This place is GORGEOUS, the pictures do not do it justice! It was recently redone and it was beautifully done. The screened in porch was an amazing place to hang out in the evenings and the outdoor shower was incredible. Everyone LOVED it! The kids loved having campfires at the beautiful fire pit, playing tennis on the gorgeous tennis courts, fishing and swimming off the beautiful dock, kayaking, paddle boarding and even playing ping pong in the guest cabin. There was plenty of space for all of us. 7 adults and 7 kids (2 being babies). We rented a Pontoon from the local Marina and were able to enjoy the lake fully. Kerr Lake is a beautiful very large lake. We would return in a heartbeat! Clint was very easy to deal with making the whole process including the major hiccup in the beginning not as bad.

Perfect place to stay
We had 12 people stay here for a week. The setup was perfect for a large group. Clint was an amazing host that answered all of our questions and went above and beyond for us during our stay. We will be back!!!

Even better than before!
We have rented this property from the previous owners and were so happy to hear that the new owners were going to continue to rent. Clint was super easy to get in touch with before and during our stay. When he mentioned they were doing some renovations and upgrades-he wasn’t kidding! For those that have been here before, you will love the new exterior, the expansive front porch, the outdoor shower!, and all of the interior enhancements and updated bathrooms, along with the kayak and paddle board and use of the cabin. The awesome screened in porch and back patio are still there, and we loved the updated fire pit and seating area. Even though it rained for a good portion of our week, we can’t wait to come back!
