Would not stay again because of the off street parking only. And the fact that there was no hair dryer.

The block out curtains were good. The continental (complimentary) breakfast was amazing. Staff was very helpful.

The room is tiny. Bed barely fits. Mattress okay but pillows are terrible. Only off street parking!! NO HAIR DRYER!!????

Good, but could have been better 🙂.

The Bed was really comfy, the room was on the small side but nice. The shower was excellent.

I wanted a toaster in the room, I had to bring my own. A microwave would have been nice in the room too. I don't want to have to go to a shared kitchen to make my breakfast or dinner. Off street parking was an unexpected surprise, but given the design and dimensions of the building and property I understand how that problem is impossible to solve. But honestly $125 for one night, in a small room, no off street parking, not even a toaster in the room, nor a microwave, is a bit much. $100 per night is more like it. Loweryour prices to remain competitive. When you can offer at least a toaster in each room, then you can raise the price.

We had just an overnight stay. Was fine for a night but a bit squishy if you were staying longer.

Wouldn’t stay again- hot water runs out by 9pm unable to shower

I had attended a wedding and returned back to the hotel at 9pm, it was a super hot day, super sweaty just wanted to have a shower. The hot water tanks were cold- so had obviously ran out of hot water, I had contacted management to let them know I was not happy to pay $146 for one night when I couldn’t have a basic amenity such as a shower. They promised a 50% refund over the phone, contacted them twice since the incident and have still not been refunded. Would not stay here again.

Quick Goulburn stopover

Large room,. recently renovated , super comfortable bed. This was a last minute booking ( literally 1-2 hours before I arrived) and key was waiting for me at 8pm. Decided I was not staying in Sydney and this was a better , cheaper option.

No onsite parking, but located in dead end cul-de-sac, so plenty of on-street parking, and very safe area.

Great value for your money.

Love it. Kitchen was clean. Dining room table was also cleaned and roomy too. Room smelt clean and bed comfortable too. I return any time I'm back in the area.

Very pleasant. Only one issue, unable to fill jug from bathroom sink, have to use cups of water .

Only breakfast cereals and toast - none of which I an eat due to Gluten issues.

Perhaps have provided some eggs?

A great place to stay.

The communal kitchen & dining room were amazing. The layout of the outdoor area very relaxing. Can’t wait to return.

Room is quite small but with the communal kitchen that alleviates any lack of space.

Buyer beware

I was disappointed that the photos on the website were inaccurate (the photo on booking.com showed a window at the front the room - there was no window), that the lights outside the room were so bright that it was not possible to sleep, and it was designed in such a way that there was a a lot of noise from the other guests. There was also no off-street parking.

Affordable, comfortable accommodation with separate shared kitchen area. Would recommend!

The staff were really helpful and accommodating, the beds were comfortable, Smart TVs, separate kitchen area which can be used for cooking or heating meals, we would definitely stay again if in the area.

Great value and excellent bed!

It may be an older property but it’s been beautifully maintained. The rooms are compact but freshly painted and updated, including a king bed which was the most comfortable I’ve slept in for a long time! There’s a small wardrobe, mini fridge, a couple of chairs and plenty of power points - handy if you have multiple devices to charge. Great shower too. There’s self check in but the guy on the desk hung around until we arrived and made sure we were ok. This will be our new ‘go to’ place in Goulburn from now on.

Minor negatives are the compact size of the room and the fact that we have to park on the street - it’s a quiet cul-de-sac so that wasn’t a problem. In fact neither of these ‘complaints’ are deal breakers for us - we’ll be back!

The room was tidy and clean. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Very comfortable for the price, exactly what I’d expect. Easy check in and check out with coded lock boxes for keys. And thank you for putting a PowerPoint next to the bed!!

If customers were to pay more then a few extra touches may need to be considered. The sound between rooms was a little disturbing as we could hear the people conversing next door. Maybe an adjustable shower head for the not so tall people. And the windows might need a fly wire for bugs. Nothing major though.

No sleep at the Black Sheep

Recently refurbished with good quality fittings. Excellent kitchen available. There were issues getting into our room but the staff did sort this out within 10 minutes.

Noisy, other people arrived at midnight and woke us up. Not the properties fault that some people are inconsiderate but there was no soundproofing.

One of the best motels ever

Really a great experience, one of the best motels where I have ever been! Reception and staff very nice, our room was perfectly clean and tidy. The shared kitchen was amazing, clean and with everything you need, including coffee, tea, cereals, spreads, butter and milk for the breakfast. If I'll come back to Goulburn again in the future, I'll book again in the Black Sheep Motel.

Not enjoyable and certainly wouldn’t recommend it

The bed was comfortable. The towels were nice. Shower was hot.

You had to park out in the street. The room was very small. Not even a microwave in the room. Couldn’t fill the kettle had to fill it with glass as it wouldn’t fit under the tap. We arrived at 6pm there was a notice on the door office hours 3-7 pm however the door was locked. They had notified via text where the keys were and the lockbox code. Didn’t see any staff member during our stay

Great value and a high standard.

A very quiet location at the end of a non-through road. The motel is beautifully kept. Very neat, clean and tidy. The kitchen/breakfast room was excellent and a real surprise. The heating in the room was very good. Although the room was small it had a big bed and an excellent shower room, and was well equipped and of a high standard. The proprietor was friendly and accommodating. For the price this was exceptional.

Parking is on the street but there is plenty of space. The room was small but that wan't an issue.

Fantastic budget place with breakfast included

Fantastic place to stay. The shared kitchen and dinning area is amazing. There is everything you need to cook yourself a meal. Then self prepare breakfast is also included. So clean and quiet.

I’ve seen bigger stables

The room had a good Airconditioner for heating, just a pity the large vents in the roof probably disposed of most of the heat! The bathroom was additional to the tiny living/bedroom area. The shower and toilet facilities were new and worked correctly. The bed was comfortable, once the heating was sorted out.

The room (#14) was about half the size of a shipping container - yes, about 2.5 metres wide by 4.5 metres long. No room for bedside tables, they were replaced by a couple of stools. Room for only one chair, and a small table, but of course the TV was mounted on the wall high above the front window, so the only way to watch Tv was to lie on the bed. The gap under the front door was covered by a “draft sausage” which prevented some of the heat loss. There is no parking on-site, only out in the street, which I didn’t see clearly detailed in the advertising - I don’t go to hotels for exactly this reason, whereas motel generally have parking outside your room. Because I had special items in my vehicle, and because it was the weekend, I was able to park in the undercover onsite area where reception staff would normally park, which solved the security problem. The price charged certainly didn’t match the size, quality or standard of the room, so beware of what room you book and at what cost.
