About this house rental
From the street, Cottage on Beach Plum looks small and cozy, but step inside and you will be pleasantly surprised by all the room the house provides all on one floor. Our home is perfect for large families, multi-generational groups, as well as several couples. With four bedrooms (two en-suite masters) and three full bathrooms, this home provides space and comfort while being steps away from the beaches of the Delaware Bay. The back screened-in porch gives a quiet retreat after spending a day on the beach. The home is supplied with paper products, linens, beach gear, and a cleaning service.
There is plenty of free parking on the driveway and in the street. The garage is not to be used for parking but for beach gear storage.

This property was perfect for us. My sister and I are 71 and 73. Her 2 daughters are 37 and 40. Having everything on one level made it easier for us. I loved the layout of the house. The walk to the beach was only 5 minutes and usually there were only 1 or 2 people there. There are plenty of chairs, umbrellas and towels to use. The house was immaculate. They allow dogs so I was able to bring my service dog. I give this place 5 stars. Everything was great!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect house or a better location for our family vacation. The home was very comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed-- linens, beach supplies, kitchen utensils, etc.-- and a perfect layout for our stay with extended family.
We loved eating our meals on the large screened-in porch!

This house was immaculate upon arrival stocked with everything we needed for a quick getaway over the Fourth of July. Linens, towels, everything was clean and comfortable. The beach was literally steps away and I enjoyed walking my dogs on the beach in the morning and evenings. The outside shower was perfect for rinsing the pups after the beach and I love how the owners had a hot water access so they would be comfortable, nice touch! I would 100% stay in this exceptional home anytime. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It’s literally perfect for traveling to this area in North Cape May.

The house was terrific for my husband and I, daughter and son-in-law, his mom and our pup. Close to beautiful sunsets at the bay, great restaurants, lighthouse, downtown Cape May and beaches. Absolutely loved the back porch - listening to birds, rain, and relaxing. Lots of amenities and great communications with the host. A wonderful place to start the summer!

The house was perfect for my two sisters, my husband, and I. Well equipped kitchen, lovely screened in porches, comfortable beds and furniture. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Plenty of beach chairs, coolers, and sand toys. The hostess was kind to reach out and let us know that there was no rush to leave at the scheduled check out time. We had a great time exploring the area that our parents spoke about and loved so much!!! Still hearing their favorite song…”On the Way to Cape May” over, and over. They would be happy that we took the time to visit! Great stay! Highly recommend!

My family and I stayed for our son's BC graduation. We also had 1 family member with a walker and one with a scooter, this worked out perfectly for us! Communication was also wonderful. If we ever had to visit again, we would definitely stay here. Also, so roomy!

A lovely and cozy home, perfect for relaxing with family. Walks around the neighborhood and along the beach were beautiful and tranquil. We practically had the entire beach to ourselves...although, that's to be expected when visiting the shore in November :)

It was the perfect house for our family. My FIL fell in April and broke his hip. He is doing very well but needed no stairs to climb. The house was spacious and also allowed our dog to come. We fell in love with the neighborhood and area. Enjoyed evening sunsets and got to watch the Ferry depart too. We loved it so much we are coming back.

This was the 3rd year of staying in the Villas. As in years past, it was a delightful, comfortable and clean stay. A true "home away from home" with all the amenities of a complete house. This was my first ever stay at a VRBO, and forever now, the bar is set high! Elizabeth,our host, was extremely communicative and accommodating throughout the process, never taking more than 24 hours to respond.
The house was exactly as described, two bedroom suites (complete with bathrooms), an additional bedroom and bath and a room with a pullout couch /pocket doors that doubled as the fourth bedroom. Anything and everything needed was furnished, and the house was well stocked with essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies,laundry detergent, etc.
The real attraction however, was the bay beach literally three minutes away. I was so taken by the cleanliness and proximity, that this was the first year I didn't go to the ocean beach ( though Ophelia took care of that too!). I can't say enough about how easy everything was! Oh, yes, and I brought my dog too! She also had a great time as there are many more squirrels in Villas than at home!

This is our second year and we absolutely love it. we love the location, the bay, the back screened in porch and the fact we can bring our dog. Elizabeth provides everything and went the extra mile to be sure a certain float was there so my 77 yo mom could go in the bay. This is our forever vacation spot.

Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas in the garage. The garage was also great for extra space to store our bikes and stroller for the week. Close to the beach where we brought our dog everyday. A group of 4 senior adults stayed the weekend to do a bit of birding. The house was perfect! Two master bedrooms for the two couples. We didn't need the other 2 bedrooms but the house fit within all our search parameters so we took it. The proximity to the beach was fantastic and we loved the quiet neighborhood. "Town" was just a short drive away. That porch was idyllic--so quiet and peaceful! And it was so convenient that linens were furnished; but not excited about having to make our own beds. Would most definitely rent this house again!

We stayed in this beautiful house while having a memorial service for my parents at Cold Spring Presbyterian Church. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and very comfortable, also enjoyed walking on the bay each day. Would definitely stay again.

We are four friends who were neighbors many years ago. This was the first time we went on a weekend getaway. Boy, we picked the perfect house. It is really a lovely home with a beautifully landscaped yard. Our hostess saw to it that everything was perfect. The house is spotless and comfortable. The first words out of one of our travelers was “ omg, I want to live here”. We enjoyed every minute and only wished we could stay longer. We are already planning to stay there again next year. Booked a getaway with the family in this dog-friendly home. The neighborhood was quiet and the walk to the bay beach was shorter than expected. Saw dolphins and played in the shallow pools at low tide. Easy to get to Wildwood, Cape May parks and the lighthouse. Saw more dolphins at the ferry landing and walked down the beach from the lighthouse into town for a lovely lunch. Even took a ride to OCNJ to walk a different boardwalk. House was cozy and stocked with games like Scrabble and Monopoly. Big open kitchen, dining and living room space, excellent screened in porches in front and back. My wife even utilized loft space as a workout area. Everyone could have their own space when needed, and we cherished our time together. Host was responsive, but not much communication needed when everything is as advertised.
