About this house rental
We built our dream lake house that was designed to function perfectly for our growing family and we want to share it with you! This is a place where we gather as a family and where our children create lasting memories. It is the perfect place for family reunions, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, retirement parties, girls’ weekends, corporate or religious retreats, and of course, family vacations, ask about our event fee. We've created a safe environment with gates on the staircases, safety latches on cabinets that contain cleaning supplies, tamper resistant outlets, and kid friendly furnishings. Our waterfront home provides private access to canyon lake. Walk down to the water or enjoy the view from the spacious covered patio. Public boat ramp #7 is just down the street. There is plenty of room for everyone with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Conveniently located just 15 min from the Guadalupe river horseshoe tubing loop, whitewater amphitheater, and 30 min to Schlitterbahn and Gruene Hall. Escape the city and picture yourself having a hot cup of coffee on the deck as you watch the sun rise over the misty lake, catch the deer grazing nearby, and see a sailboat cruising the water.
** A 22’ ski boat available to be rented: holds 7 passengers. Will be a chartered rental (includes captain and fuel). It’s $125 an hour for 4 passengers with a 4 hr minimum. It an $50 flat rate per additional passenger and $50 flat rate per additional hour. Ice chest with ice included. Also available are water skis, tube, and Lilly pad float.
** A 22’ ski boat available to be rented: holds 7 passengers. Will be a chartered rental (includes captain and fuel). It’s $125 an hour for 4 passengers with a 4 hr minimum. Amazing home. It had the perfect layout for me and my daughters. Tons of privacy if needed. Great view! Just an all around wonderful house.

This property was everything promised on its ad. The house has finely located and excellently equipped with anything a family might need. I would definitely recommend this prosperity to family and friends. The only issue is the low water levels but other than that we truly enjoyed our stay and vacation overall.

Property was ample and clean. Many stairs to upstairs master bedroom and down to double room (spiral staircase not for the faint of heart): not a problem for us, but keep in mind. Access to lake was easiest we’ve had as there were no steps, but water being low made it a trek. Wear good shoes to get there. Overall the house suited our needs: two couples, three young adults, and two dogs. Was glad to have our leaf blower to fill up floats and blow the bugs off the porch every morning.

We spent Thanksgiving here with extended family and each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, which was perfect.
The views are amazing from the main floor and the deck and our dog loved running down to the beach.
The house and living room furniture are “well loved” and the couches & chairs may need to be replaced in 2024 but the beds, linens and towels were all wonderful.
Communication with the host was easy and responses were prompt.
We would stay here again for sure!

Nice well appointed house, shore lime is not conducive to swimming or playing in water as it is muddy and has vegetation. I believe the water level has been at the low level for some time so thee boat ramp is down the street is misleading since Ramp #7 is closed due to low water.

We will definitely be back! The house was perfect for my family! The only down fall is the spiral stairs to go to the down stairs bedroom and off the deck. They are not easy to maneuver. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. Could use more kitchen and bath towels. Spacious and beautiful! Place was amazing!

The occasion was a small family reunion with 7 adults attending and staying. The house was as shown in the pictures. Multiple decks to take in the great views of the lake. Everyone had their own private bedroom, and the beds were comfortable. The firepit on the main covered deck worked fine as did the propane grill. The kitchen had 2 dishwashers but only one of them was operational. The metal spiral staircases were a bit of a challenge for us, but we all managed. It was a short walk to the lake down a fairly severe sloped concrete walkway, but the rope railing helped. Very relaxing stay overall and would recommend this house for a great get-a-way.

It’s a nice location with a fantastic view. Lots of pros (view, lake front, close to marina, spacious living area and big back patio/porch, open kitchen, ample parking, accommodate a lot of people) and a few cons (no or few dressers or shelves in bedrooms, need more hangers, a few hiccups with appliances but were addressed promptly, need non-slip tub mat, access to beach is very steep and not everyone was able to manage it, one stackable W/D for a lot of people is tough, internet was lagging at times). We would certainly stay here again though!! The owners and managers were very friendly and responsive. Thank you for sharing your home!

Great stay at Dockside Daphne
Very comfortable house for our group of six. Water pressure & A/C are great. Kitchen well-stocked. Hung out at water with our swim tent, chairs & floats and had a ball. Owner very responsive. Would stay here again.

Fun Family Trip!
This is our second time to stay in this lovely home, and we have another trip planned here again later in summer. The house and views are spectacular; pictures are very accurate. Easy parking for several cars. If any troubles arise, the manager and/or owner are super responsive and helpful. They are the main reason we will keep coming back.
The comfortable beds, tons of towels, and 4 bathrooms make staying here easy. The kitchen had everything we needed. There's no ice maker, so we put bags of ice in freezer and that worked perfect. The walk down to the lake will get your heart pumping but is fine even for our grandparents. The gates on the steep or spiral staircases are great to have for little ones or even clumsy adults. There is not a "yard" type space to really use, but we are there for the water and take our floats down to the shore when not on a boat. We spent most of our time on the deck when not on the lake. I loved not having TVs in the bedrooms because it seemed we all stayed together more instead of going off to our own rooms. Can't wait to go back.

Such A Beautiful House
The layout is perfect to allow everyone their own privacy at night and the house was very clean and well maintained. Shopping within 6-10 minutes for any last minute items. Patio is perfect for dinners, games, s’mores in the firepit, and the best views both day and night. Everyone in the group had an amazing weekend and truly enjoyed all that Dockside Daphne had to offer.

Perfect for family to stay and host a shower
The house is more than what the pictures show. The host is very quick to reply with any questions and very accommodating. The home was spot on for me and my family (including a dog) to stay. The layout was perfect for entertaining our guests while hosting the couples shower we planned. The neighbors were really nice as well! Definitely would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Family Reunion plus Two Birthdays
The pictures alone showed us this was a place to have fun, relax, enjoy family, and make memories! And, it was...exactly as showcased. Plenty of wonderful natural light with fabulous views. Short walk everyone from age 2-6 could head down to the waters edge. Our 2 springer spaniels romped a bit. Inside...clean, welcoming, professionally decorated, plenty of dishware, pots/pans, utensils, refrigerator and 2 dishwashers!

Family Birthday Weekend Getaway
Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Canyon Lake - accommodations were great and met all our expectations. We had 10 but space available for more. Look forward to coming back when weather is warmer and we can enjoy water sports.

Had a great stay for a weekend birthday trip with a few friends. Excellent views of Canyon Lake with bountiful wildlife around the property. House was modern and had plenty of accommodations for guests. Would stay there again if given a chance

Gorgeous View From the Main Living Space
I thought the amazing view was such a beautiful feature. It was not visible from the bedrooms which was a disappointment. It was really great for adults. For little children, there was a nice bedroom. The stairs both had gates for child safety. There is a convenient hall toilet closet. The kitchen was nicely supplied with cooking pans and bowls. Bring Ice.

I must also tell you 2 things that were disappointing. The small washer does not spin/work properly. Also, the lake is quite a distance from the house. It’s too far for elderly ppl to walk.

Wonderful property that is just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. Large yard and easy access to the lake and nearby boat ramp. The large driveway is a gamechanger for anyone traveling with a Boat/jet ski trailer. Kayla was great. Could not ask for a better family vacation. Hopefully we will get a chance to stay here again.

This house is amazing! It had plenty of room for everyone and was very clean! The owner was extremely helpful and great with communication! The backyard has lots of space to gather! The views of the lake were amazing and access to the lake and house were very easy! We would definitely rent this property again! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Beautiful lake view
Our family stayed at the house with 7 people ranging in age from 13 y/o to 51 y/o and really enjoyed the experience. The house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The focal part of the house is the fabulous back porch which was an amazing place to watch the sunsets over the lake. Kayla was responsive and we had no problems at all with check-in or.departure. It is a bit of a walk down to waterside but the kids did get in the lake and float around and swim to cool off. We took a trip to San Antonio and enjoyed the River Walk and Alamo. It was less than an hour there. A great house and would recommend for other families!

Amazing lake view
This house was perfect for our Memorial Day weekend. The breathtaking views from the amazing deck, the modern design of the house, and spacing rooms offered a really confortable stay for our family and friends. The house was spotless and all amenities just as described. The driveway made a big difference for us as not many houses have enough driveway space to park a large boat. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Getaway!
Beautiful home, the unloading dock #7 which was the closest to the home was closed so we had to drive a little further to #6 and #8. Needs TVs in all rooms I know it’s a getaway but I enjoy watching shows when I’m about to go to bed. Overall it was an awesome stay! Highly recommend it!!

We rented this house for a night to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday with another family we've been quarantining with. Let me say that the house is even better than the pictures. The interior is beautiful, the space is open and bright and the whole place has a great, warm feel to it. It's one of those houses where when you first walk in, you're like WOW.
On top of that, Kayla was great, responded quickly to my (many) questions and requests and clearly cares about this house.
I'd highly recommend this property if you want a great getaway that's not too far from Austin or San Antonio and close to Wimberly.
