Very nice place to stay.

The hosts are very nice people. They offered us tea and honey that they make at home upon our arrival in the evening. Good location for the waterfall.

Basic verblijf, ideaal voor uitstappen

Zeer vriendelijke host, druk in de weer en zorgt dat je je thuis voelt Zeer goed gelegen voor uitstap naar Nivica canyon en naar de watervallen van Progonat Het ontbijt is ok

De kamer waar wij sliepen was nogal vochtig. Een gedeelde badkamer is op zich geen probleem, maar hier moesten we deze delen met ongeveer 8 man en dan kan het soms wel lang duren.

Great place to stay!

It was all good. It was nice to stay at a family house in the mountains. The breakfast was ok. We bought 1 extra dinner from the property. The hosts are 2 old people (family). None of them speak English. But they try, they do their best. They use google translate and signs... In the end it works if you try. The house was perfectly clean. Everything was new and modern inside. It is a great place to stay!

We had an excellent stay here. This couple were the nicest people. Would recommend it to everyone!

The breakfast was amazing! Everything homemade or from the farm/garden. Also the supper was really good, and so much better than we had in the village. The waterfall is only 20min walk from their house and the views are breathtaking.

A true Albanian experience

My 8 friends and I stayed 3 nights here and it was incredible! The hosts are so sweet and welcoming. The dinners and breakfasts are beautifully home cooked and great value for money. You are surrounded by mountains and farm land. So many donkeys, sheep and chickens. It feels like you’re staying with family. We loved everything. The roof top is also a cool hangout spot to watch the stars or lay in the sun. A few of my friends got sick our last night of our stay and they very kindly let us stay until the late afternoon on check out day so they could recover. That was very generous of them. There are many incredible waterfalls, canyons and mountains to explore and it’s just perfect. Love our stay Thank you!

This place is an absolute gem. You are in the middle of the mountains, with access to a small village and with all the confronts of home. The people managing the guesthouse are super nice. They provided one of the best meals we had in Albania for a very very fair price. Thank you!

Definitely recommended. A to try the HONEY, it is freshly made in the village.

The best place to be in South Albania. we enjoyed the view, the location was very convenient and the TRADITIONAL Albanian food. The host was very hospitable. JUST Fantastic!!!!!!

Renovated interior, good value for price. Owners dont speak english, but you can communicate with them via Google Translate. Good location - very near to waterfall. Great dinner nad breakfast.

Wonderful stay

If you are looking for a true Albanian experience. Do not look further, because Progon House has it all. Progon House is hosted by an elderly couple and is located in a very remote area. The town is a collection of sheep shepherds, bee keepers, and is very very small. It is about 45 min drive from Tepelena. The elderly couple is super sweet! We wanted to barbeque at our first night and they already put on the fire for us. They supplied us with oil, spices, and vegetables from the garden. You can count on a traditional breakfast and we also paid for a traditional Albanian diner which included stewed lamb, spinach pie, and some kind of paella with chicken, although I am sure they don't call it paella. We had an absolute wonderful stay and we would highly recommend this to anyone that is open for a bit adventure in Albania!!

Fantastic experience! Very pleasant stay in a beautiful place with with excellent host

Super friendly host, very good breakfast and dinner with food grown in the garden. Large and clean rooms. Great price and quality. Very beautiful surrounding landscape. Excellent place for hiking and relaxing.

Great Albanian experience with most welcoming host

The host was extremely nice and welcoming. He offered us fruits, homemade honey and nuts. He prepared a delicious dinner for us and showed his animals to our kids. It was not just a nice stay, but a real Albanian experience.

As written in other reviews, bath is shared and rooms do not have AC. We only stayed 1 night and it didn’t bother us, but the description should be corrected. The doble bed in the triple room was old and uncomfortable. You fall down to the middle and makes noises with every movement.

Pleasant stay in a rural setting

Great price and a unique location. The elderly man who lives here doesn't speak English, but is happy to help you in any way he can and will communicate with you via Google Translate.

Wonderful remote place to stay

The host couple is very nice and friendly. Even though we don't speak Albanian, we were able to communicate well - sometimes with the help of their granddaughter, who translated. In addition to breakfast, they also offered to make us lunch and dinner. All dishes were in the traditional and home made style and very tasty :)

Superb

House is new, all rooms were very clean. Owners are kind people. After our arrival we spoke over a phone with their son (in English) who arranged a lunch for us and his father walked with us through village to show the best way to reach the waterfall. Unfortunately there was no waterfall as the river was almost dry, but it was very nice walk anyway.

Information on booking are not correct. There is no private bathroom. House has only one bathroom that is shared also with owners. Room doesn't have air conditioning. Owners don't speak in English so it wasn't easy to communicate.
