New HVAC units installed for the 2025 season

This lovely, soundside, 1,500-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home is located in the quiet Askin’s Creek subdivision on the south side of Avon. It's just a short walk to the beach or a short drive to the grocery store, restaurants, and four-wheel drive beach access (a permit is required). You'll also be 10 minutes from the pool and Canadian Hole. Bring bikes and running shoes because Avon has been blessed with a village-long bike path!

Boasting new upgrades for 2023, including new mattresses, additional pillows, outdoor dining table and chairs, and a remote work area with desk and chairs, Frog Hollow has cornered the market on cool, comfort, and views. The house showcases five deck areas - two off the front of the house and three off the back of the house. The front decks afford views of Askin’s Creek and Pamlico Sound sunsets. The three-tiered back deck allows you to climb three stories through junipers emerging to ocean, the sound, and views of national park land. We might be a little biased, but we think Frog Hollow has some of the best views in the area.

Inside, you'll find three bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the first floor. Each bedroom includes a 40-inch 4K TV, a recharging station for your electronics, and a queen-size bed. The second bedroom includes twin bunks in addition to the queen bed. The first bedroom has an en suite bath, while there is a hall bath for other guests. The first and second bedrooms have sliding doors that access the back deck. The first floor also includes laundry facilities.

Upstairs, you'll find a large open living space featuring a dining area, a living room, a well-appointed kitchen, and a half-bath. There's also a 12-foot sliding door to access the back deck and another sliding door opposite to access the upper front deck. Choose a deck to watch a fantastic sunrise over the Atlantic or a delightful sunset over Pamlico Sound; linger awhile to listen to the frogs chirp. Watch the deer feed along the wood line, or enjoy a spectacular view of the Milky Way. If you time it right, you may even see the space station pass overhead.

The carport beneath the house features a fish-cleaning table, an outdoor shower, storage, and room for two cars with additional parking on the concrete driveway. This home also features a fenced-in dog run - up to two dogs are welcome for a nightly fee!

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Guests also have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

This was our second year in a row staying here during Labor Day week and we plan to come back next year if schedule works out. This place is bright, clean, well-maintained, well-equipped and the owners provide lots of little extras. Outside there are a number of decks with beautiful views and/or quiet privacy. It's a great location, only a 10-minute walk to a beautiful beach. We also love it because it's a great place to bring our two small dogs. The owners are clearly dog-friendly. Can't wait to come back next year!

Loved this place! Everything was as pictured/advertised (or better). We have stayed in many rentals and have never found one with so many extras (toiletries, pens, notepads, lip balm, koozies, stamped post cards, etc.) to make the stay carefree and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is in a great location. Short walk to beach with fabulous views off its many decks while still having a sense of privacy. Very short drive to supermarket, shopping, and a great variety of restaurants. Many within walking distance too. It is well maintained, nicely decorated, bright and cheery, and comfortable. The owners even provide a notebook of insider tips for dinning and activities, which was helpful because this was our first visit to the Outer Banks. The house has everything you could think you would need and more. Even includes toiletries, pens, notepads, bumper stickers, koozies, and stamped post cards to complete and mail. Well equipped kitchen with everything needed for cooking including spices and an outdoor grill. All the modern electronics as well as board games for kids and family. Great reading material with interesting books on the Outer Banks. For the beach there were toys, chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella, a wagon and beach cart to transport everything to and from the beach. Outdoor shower and hose for post beach. The yard has a fenced in area for dogs as well. We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend Frog Hollow to anyone!

This property is excellent. The space was perfect for the 6 of us. The kitchen family room area is very welcoming. The owners thought of everything to make the stay stress free. Charging cords for your phones, books to read, starter coffee pods, binder of great information about the area and board games. They even thought about your dog with dog bowls a fenced area for the dog and a doggie gift as well. The place had outdoor areas to sit in the sun or shade all day long. The walk to the beach was short and chairs, toys and boogie boards were provided. This is the perfect place. There is so much to do in the area and Frog Hollow will be our place to stay.

The hosts go way past the extra mile to provide everything and more for guests to stay and enjoy their trip to OBX. We have stayed there twice now and absolutely plan to stay again in the future. Great location and great accommodations!
