About this villa rental

Escape to the peaceful and coveted beach community of Crown Point in San Diego! This highly sought after neighborhood boasts mostly permanent residents, creating a serene and tranquil environment for our guests. Right across the street from the home, you can find Ski Beach and Park, a favorite spot for families and kids. Explore the variety of local eateries and coffee shops, or take a short walk to popular Sail Bay and the ocean.

Our home is an "upside down" home with the kitchen and living area on the top floor. This provides a bird's eye view of the ski bay and crown point park. The bedrooms are spacious and there’s plenty of space to spread out throughout the home!

PROPERTY LAYOUT:
Level 1: Guest Bedroom 1 (Two twin and pull out couch, Roku TV), Guest Bedroom 2 (King, Roku TV), Guest Bedroom 3 (Queen, twin, Roku TV), 1 guest bath, garage, patio, and backyard
Level 2: Kitchen, dining room, living room, Guest Bedroom 4 (queen), 1 guest bath, 2 balconies and the primary suite (King, Roku TV, en-suite bath).

Our front yard is a haven of comfort and leisure, featuring a stylish deck adorned with an outdoor Polywood dining table – perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or dining al fresco. As the day transitions to evening, gather around the cozy propane fire pit or lounge on the outdoor couch, creating lasting memories with family and friends. Across the street, Sail Bay and parks beckon for waterfront strolls and outdoor adventures.

In the backyard, bask in the San Diego Sun while enjoying the amenities! Unwind and entertain in style with a range of amenities designed for your leisure. Our turf area provides a perfect spot for relaxation or a game of cornhole, and the chaise lounges beckon for a serene afternoon under the sun.

TRANSPORTATION:
Plenty of ride shares and electric scooter rentals in the neighborhood but we do recommend a car. There is a garage and a driveway. Garage Dimensions: 6'8 H x15W x 16D. Large cars may not block the sidewalk. There are disabled neighbors that require access to the sidewalk so please remember to park on the street if your car hangs into the sidewalk!

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Due to our neighborhood being mostly full time home owners...Quiet time from 10pm-8am is strictly enforced. For this reason, this home is better suited for families and/or for a mix of ages where bedtime is earlier! All adult groups who may be celebrating will likely find this unit difficult to fully enjoy as the neighbors do not tolerate noise during quiet hours or loud daytime music/party atmosphere. This includes noise created while exiting or entering the home from taxi's and rideshare late at night. Please consider these rules/restrictions and the neighbors when booking this home so that you may have the experience you expect to have while visiting San Diego!

Good Neighbor Policy: This home is surrounded by OWNER OCCUPIED homes. While we understand the Primary Renter and guests are on vacation, the home owners are not. Therefore, we respectfully request Primary Renter and Guests display behavior that is becoming of a typical neighborhood environment. Home owners across San Diego are banning together to eliminate the rentals of private homes as vacation homes. Please help us preserve our right to rent by being respectful neighbors.

NOISE/NO PARTIES: Quiet hours are strictly enforced, 10 pm – 8 am per city ordinance. This property has ZERO TOLERANCE for noise, parties or loud music which includes any excessive daytime noise, cursing, yelling or screaming. Fines will be applied for complaints. Drinking games of any kind ie: beer die, pong, funnels etc. and music that is audible past the property line are strictly prohibited. Immediate eviction can result if these rules are broken.

San Diego Municipal Code 59.5.0502 states that at all times; any amplified sound that can be heard 50 feet away from the rented residence is prohibited. Between 10 PM and 8 AM, even normal conversation must be moved inside the rented residence. Per SDMC 51.1004 and California Penal Code 415.2 noise violations can result in fines (Up to $1,000) for property owners and Renters if there are repeated calls for noise violations to one address. Renters will be liable for any and ALL noise violation fines charged to the property owner. Excessive Noise disruptions can result in immediate eviction without the right to a refund of rental fees or security deposits.

Drugs/ Alcohol: Use of illegal/illicit drugs by any Renter, Guest, Occupant or Visitor in or on the grounds is strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by a minor under 21 years of age is strictly prohibited.

No Smoking of ANY kind: This is a non-smoking property, both in and on the property. A fee of $1,000.00 will be charged for violation of this rule, plus any costs incurred to remove smoke odor or damage. Smoking includes but is not limited to: cigarette, cigar, marajuana, cocaine, incense, or vaping. While Marajuana is legal in the state of California it is NOT allowed on this property.

Properties are subject to exterior patrol by our staff and homeowner. If Renters are causing a nuisance, having a party, acting detrimentally toward the property, breaking the noise curfew or any stated rules and regulations we reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement, without refund, and immediately remove Renters and guests from the property. Absolutely no disturbances are allowed within this home or anywhere on the property premises. We also reserve the right to refuse occupancy if a house party is suspected.

Our neighbors are very, very sensitive to vacation rentals as it affects their right to live in a peaceful environment therefore we will enforce these policies in exchange for the privilege of renting this home as a vacation rental. The City of San Diego has adopted stricter guidelines for vacation properties and bad operators will not be allowed to rent their homes. If the actions of the Renter and their guests are detrimental to our right to rent as a vacation rental we reserve the right to evict and retain any rental fees and/or security deposits and will report abuse to the rental platforms and will take legal action against Renter if their behavior results in loss of permits.

Guest Occupancy:
Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for this Rental Agreement shall not exceed the number stated on the reservation. Only primary Renter and guests accounted for on the reservation are allowed to be on the property.

Age Restrictions: Primary Renter must be 25 years or older. Guests must be 25 years or older. Parents and children excluded.

No Subletting: If Renter can not keep the reservation please alert us as soon as possible so we can assist in re-renting the unit. If the unit is not re-rented and at the rate of the current reservation Renter will not be refunded their rental fees.

Damages: Renter will leave property in good order.
Damage Fee does not cover excessive cleaning; including but not limited to overflowing trash, carpet or upholstery steam cleaning, Linen Damage (Sheets, Blankets and Comforters damaged from, but not limited to, tearing, food, blood or other bodily fluids and will incur full replacement value charges) or damage due to pets, parties or excessive guests in the unit.

If excessive cleaning is needed, Renter will be charged $100/hour, or actual charges, whichever is greater.If area carpets are excessively dirty after check out Renter will be charged a $300 fee for carpet cleaning or full replacement value PLUS any loss in rental income at $500/night.

NO DAILY MAID SERVICE: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. The cleaning fee referenced above shall be applied to the cleaning service after check out. If daily maid service is desired it can be arranged for an additional daily fee.

Missing or damaged items will be charged at full replacement cost.

Kitchen: Cooking at high temperatures can result in strong smells that permeates throughout the home and into the fabrics of the home. Excessive odors can come from, but not limited to, popcorn, fish, certain spices etc. Please open windows, use kitchen fans, and be mindful that this is a shared living space. Should a strong odor be detected upon check out, an air purifying fee will be applied.

Check in / Check out:
Per the contract check in time is 4:00 PM and check out is at 10:00 AM. Check in and check out times are strictly enforced, please do not enter the property early without permission. Disruption to the contracted cleaning company’s allotted service time will incur a fee.
If available, early check-in/late check-out fee is $250.
Upon Vacating, Renters and guests will follow the provided Check-out Procedure.

Pets: Please note that cats are not permitted in our homes. We kindly request that guests limit their furry friend guests to one dog. Host must be notified of pets. Pet agreement must be acknowledged prior to booking confirmation and additional fees may apply.

Hurricane/ Storm Policy/ Pandemic: Mandatory evacuation by State or Federal Authorities will be sufficient cause for refund. Refunds will only be issued for the specific area and for the dates requiring mandatory evacuation. “Shelter in place” is not considered evacuation orders. Travel bans issued by the government will be cause for credit of funds towards future stay within 1 year of original stay date.

City Ordinance/State law: Renters shall not violate city or state ordinances or laws including noise restrictions, parking restrictions and occupancy restrictions.

This property is very true to the listing. It was very clean and neat. The bedrooms were all a very nice size. The kitchen, dining room and living room was very spacious. It was an open concept that was very airy. There air flow was very good and you didn't need any air conditioning. The on-line welcome guide was very easy to navigate. There were two parking spots and the garage was empty and you could park in there as well. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We had a wonderful time at your lovely home! The home is well equipped with everything you need and the location is ideal for easily getting around San Diego! You are directly across the street from the beach on the bay which was so convenient for the kids! Highly recommend this property!

This stay was for all of us simply to be together. My beloved husband, honorary dad to my boys, son, Grandpar, and best friend and neighbor passed away suddenly 1 year ago the week of our stay. We wanted to be in a happy and beloved place for the purpose of honoring him, each other, and the love we all share. Our ages on this trip ranged from 1 to 85, and it worked for all of us. Friends dropped in for visits, hugs and food from 2 miles awayy to 2000 miles away. Same time next year….

Our family had a wonderful stay. Easy check in and check out. Very clean. Fun seeing the fireworks from SeaWorld every night from the balcony. Enjoyed jogging, walking, biking along the trail by the bay.

They have everything you need to have a great stay! Beach chairs, kayak, paddle board and everything in the house you would need to cook and have a great time. The nightly fireworks at Sea World were awesome from the front patio as a added bonus.

We were traveling the entire West Coast (starting in Seattle, WA) catching baseball games as we went. We ended our trip at this incredible property and it couldn’t have been a more perfect ending to our trip. The pictures do not do it justice. The location, a quick walk to the park and beach, was perfection. The highway as well as groceries and restaurants were also close. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had a well-stocked kitchen. Check-out was a breeze and did not require a long list of tasks to complete before leaving, a rarity nowadays. I would highly recommend staying at this property and if we find ourselves in San Diego again I will definitely stay here again or at another property with this group. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and stress free!

This was a good property for a multi generation family group. Rooms and house are as described. Property management was very responsive and house amenities are great. Busy road is right out front so I would not recommend it for families with small children. My only complaint is that the showers have mold in the caulk and they need to be re-caulked.

We loved our stay! We love cook while traveling and the kitchen was well stocked and we loved enjoying the backyard and the front patio! Really enjoyed the clean home and the layout.
