Welcome to Blue Oasis!
INSIDE THE HOME
Blue Oasis is a large two-story house with a finished basement. The house is about 100 years old and while all essentials have been updated to today's standards, original hardwood flooring, molding, and original doors throughout give it a charm you can't find just anywhere. Enjoy the peaceful blues throughout the house that represent the many shades of Lake Michigan. Access to the house is easiest through the secure back door. You will enter a newly updated kitchen, fully stocked for your cooking needs, and a large walk-in pantry. The master bedroom is off the kitchen with a full bathroom. From the kitchen, you will enter the dining room which is a great gathering space for your family. Next is the spacious, inviting family room. Put your feet up at the end of a beach day and enjoy the 55inch flat screen. From the family room, move through the original glass-paneled doors to the front sitting room. A space that can either be tranquil for the adults or the little kid's space equipped with a kids table and activities.
Make your way upstairs via the family room front stairs or the super-secret kids' staircase (that's what our kids call it) in the kitchen. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms at the front of the house. A full bathroom is located centrally. You can sit and relax, play one of the board games or do a puzzle in the upstairs nook. There is a closet in the hall with a pack n play and toddler mattress if needed. Lastly, at the back of the house is the loft bedroom. It contains the stairs down to the kitchen but still feels very private.
The stairs to the basement area in the dining room. Head on downstairs to find a newly remodeled full bathroom, large and functional laundry room, and the downstairs family room with tv, darts, and new ping pong table.
The house is stocked with kids and adult books, games, and puzzles. A highchair and kids table make meals easier if you have children. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, dishwasher, single-serve, and carafe coffee maker, toaster, crockpot, griddle, blender, and hand mixer as well as all the pots, pans, and bakeware you should need. A large, soft-sided cooler for the beach or picnic is provided as well as picnic table covers.

OUTDOOR SPACE
You'll love the house before even setting foot inside because of the amazing backyard. A privacy fence encloses the space to make it a retreat. A gas grill is provided for your summer BBQ needs. Seating for at least eight is available on the back deck. Plenty of grass to run and play and enjoy the provided lawn games. Finish your day with a fire in the fire pit.
Feel free to park in the garage or in the driveway that will park at least 7 cars. In the garage, there are beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys, beach floats, beach blankets, bikes (tricycle, kids, and adults), a wagons lawn games, and camping chairs.
If the backyard isn't enough, the front porch is also a peaceful haven. Seating for 5 gives plenty of additional space for you to gather.
THE LOCATION
Blue Oasis is located 5 blocks from downtown. Our kids enjoy the easy 12-minute walk downtown (especially if there is ice cream involved). Before you hit up one of the ice cream shops, enjoy dinner out at one of the many original eateries. The shops of downtown will keep you busy if the weather isn't perfect or the beach isn't your favorite. But if the beach is your favorite, you'll have lots of options with South and North Beaches and little spots scattered along the shore. Kids Corner Park and the Blue Staircase beach access are 6 blocks from the house. Meijer, Walmart, and Aldi are conveniently located 5 minutes by car. Although South Haven has everything you'll need for a great vacation, Southwest Michigan has some other great options in case a day trip is needed.

We stayed here with my family including my two toddlers and had a very good experience. The playroom is so helpful with little kids and they even provided toys and games which we really appreciated! The house also had a high chair and boosters, and beach toys, chairs, games, etc. which was awesome. The backyard and front porch are great spots to sit outside with coffee or have dinner while the kids run around too. The house has a few quirks as all the old houses in the area do but overall we had a great experience and would stay again! About 10 min walk to beach or downtown too.

We thoroughly enjoyed ouselves due to the v comfort and location of this house. It was beautifully decorated and included any amenity you coud think of. The numbers of rooms and spaciousness of the house was grestly appreciated by all. Would love to stay here again.

This property was great, close enough to walk to the beach/playground/downtown areas. Loved the fenced in back yard especially with 4 kids 5 and under.

The house was lovely, the location was great… the door on the top floor leading outside to a landing without any rails and a lock on the outside, was weird and scary with small kids. The management company did come out and put a new lock on, but the owners were upset by this?! It was strange and made my wife very uncomfortable.
Other than than, we loved our stay. The amenities the house supplied for kids was perfect and you really couldn’t beat the location and the quiet area.

Our family has grown in the last 2 years, and a 4th bedroom is now required. 4 of us spent the weekend in Blue Oasis to see if it met our new requirements. It met the requirement for 4 bedrooms and the bonus was the 3 extra spaces for play areas for the 2 young granddaughters. Overall, there is so much more space than the place we have rented the last 3 years. A big plus was the dining room space, no one had to get up from the table to let others get out of their seats. We already booked the place for our annual August South Haven Blueberry Fesitval Week.

The house was amzing it had everything we needed... the price was great which made me leary but the house was perfe t... there were 12 of us total and all of our freinds and family were able to come to us to visit... the house had everything we needed... the location was great also close to everything but not in the middle of chaos we also could walk to the beach and the garage was full of bikes and toys...

We searched awhile before we picked this place for 8 adults and a toddler. I guess I read about all the bikes and vacation gear in the garage, but there was everything we needed to supplement what we brought. Definitely recommend staying here.

Cons: House is not maintained well and the property management company is not very responsive. The ping pong table in the basement had water stains and was rusted over - it literally collapsed during our stay and nearly crushed my two year old. The upstairs toilet handle needs to be fixed - water kept on flowing into the tank. The basement bathroom floor grout is filled with mildew and the shower door is broken. The list goes on…. The property manager, when we called to ask for more kitchen garbage bags (because only one kitchen garbage bag was provided for a four-day stay), told us that the renter needs to supply garbage bags. This is what happens when the owners leave their property to be managed by a third party.
We vacation at South Haven for the past five years and this was by far the worst house. We will not be going back to this house. The owners should replace the property management company.

Didn't want for anything
Lots of room in this house! We found we brought some things that we didn't even need to because the house was thoughtfully stocked, from a pack 'n play and high chair to lots of beach stuff in the garage to use. We enjoyed our week here!

The property was very large, layout very nice, the house had everything in it and lots of extras in the garage to make the stay at the beach perfect! The location is good for those who want to visit town just as much as the beach and the enclosed yard was superb for families with children. The only question mark was the property across the street where there was a large gathering, a fistfight, and the police called.

What a great place to call home for a week. This home had all kinds of amenities-kitchen had everything from plenty of plates/glasses to ample place to store our groceries. We had every meal out on the backyard deck. Bikes and beach chairs were in the garage. Our infant granddaughter came for an overnight and we had a pack and play, high chair and toys at our disposal.

Blue Oasis at 502 Green is a fantastic place to stay.
Blue Oasis at 502 Green is a fantastic place to stay. The house is clean and spacious. There is a great fenced-in backyard. The property is within walking distance to the beach, park, and downtown (4 minutes to the back door at Harbor Light Brewery!). This is a great place for a couple's get-a-way or a wonderful place to bring the family and kids. I can't recommend the Blue Oasis enough! The staff at Jaqua is fantastic. Our house caught fire and we needed a place to stay long term during our re-build. I found a property on the website and contacted Lori. She immediately contacted the owners and arranged for a five month stay for us. At a time of turmoil the rental process and move in to the property was seamless. We had a couple of very small issues at the property and they were addressed within 24 hours. I would highly recommend the folks at Jaqua Realtors.
