About this cabin rental
Windmill Lodge has brand new owners that are giving this already beautiful cabin lots of love and updates. Fully renovated with additional 6th bedroom. Windmill Lodge is a 4,000 sq. ft., single story 6 bedroom 4 bathroom cabin that accommodates up to 18+ guests. This cabin has 5 king master suites all in separate wings of the house. There is a teen/bunk room with 3 Full beds. There are two large living areas that are perfect for hanging out and watching movies, a sunroom, a card/board game room, and a large gameroom with 2 arcade games, foosball table, regulation cornhole set, and a smart T.V.
The outdoor area is awesome and is complete with a brand new large top of the line hot tub with a waterfall, built in bluetooth stereo, and led color changing lights. There is also a large fire pit with lots of seating and tables and there are also iron grates you can put over the fire pit if you want to open fire cook hamburgers and hot dogs. Windmill Lodge is located on an acre plus lot with lots of space for a boat, RV, or both. New Market and cute shops within walking distance!
This cabin has an amazing layout and there are no others out there like this one. What our guest really love the most about Windmill Lodge is that each bedroom area is separated through another set of doors, and each bedroom area is in its own private wing of the house. All three King Masters have their own wing and then Bedrooms 4 & 5 (also King beds) share a wing as well. There is so much privacy, and the common areas are huge and inviting.
As the owners and the managers of the cabin, we spend lots of time making sure everything is the very best it can be and we always strive to make sure our guests are happy and well taken care of. We put a lot of time and effort into making sure the cabin is warm, inviting, and over the top clean. We decided to self manage because we love this cabin and want to make sure it gets the time and attention it needs. We also make ourselves available to our guests to help with any questions or needs.
Located on beautiful Lucian Sorrel Road just north of the Hochatown area, Windmill Lodge is in an absolutely fantastic location that is very easy to get to all of Broken Bow's main attractions.
PET FRIENDLY ($60 Fee per Pet per stay)
There are exterior cameras on the premises for when the property is unoccupied and for the safety of our guest as well. We do not check cameras while guest are there unless they ask us to.

This house was perfect for us. It’s great if you have young kids, no stairs to worry about. It’s well laid out, with areas for gathering and connecting. But, the bedrooms are separated for that alone time. Interior is updated with luxurious finishes. Plenty of outdoor spaces and room to run and play. Host was very kind and responsive. We will definitely be back. We loved our time at Windmill Lodge.

Huge house, everyone had their own area. This is great if you get “peopled out”! We were able to play pool, soak in the hot tub, play games, and enjoy family. James communicated back quickly, very kind, and has a beautiful house. We will be back. Our favorite cabin, by far!

We rented this cabin for our elopement micro wedding, so that everyone attending could stay under the same roof. The cabin is beautiful, cozy, quiet, and the floor plan makes it feel so spacious! James is awesome at communicating and was so flexible with me when I needed it. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The cabin was lovely! Was only able to take about a 2-5 minute shower due to the hot water tank not keeping up. The cleanliness of the cabin was not to our liking though. The floors had dirt, and food crumbs on them. They did not look like they had been mopped in awhile, and the beddings did not appear to be washed. Other than the tankless water heaters not keeping up (with 1 person showering at a time) and the lack of the cabin being thoroughly cleaned, it was a very nice place to stay!

2 day stay of rest and relaxation. This house is HUGE ! Extremely clean and lavishly decorated! We had more than enough room for 10 people. Each room has privacy wings, there is a game room , hot tub , fire pit etc….James was an amazing host who offered us a discounted extra night and extended checkout time! One of our top 5 VRBO stays!! There is a grocery/liquor store within 1000 ft yet you still feel secluded . Easy check in and out! We will always choose this cabin when we are in the area! Way to go Windmill LODGE! We rented this cabin for my birthday weekend. Since we were going to have a few older attendees we were wanting a one-story cabin that still had enough rooms and space for our group to spread out and not feel cramped. This cabin checked all those boxes and more. It is well designed and offers so many amenities to occupy all ages for the whole weekend. The cabin owners were available to us all weekend and very responsive to all our questions. We can’t wait to book another weekend!

This was our Christmas gift to our grown children (and grandchildren). We got away the week after Christmas to New Year’s Day. I especially liked that no one had to sleep on a pull out couch! Everyone had a room.
The gathering areas were wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, game room, and living room. We used the small breakfast nook for our puzzles!
The kitchen was well equipped.
We liked the special touches—Christmas decor, s’more kits, and blankets. We also liked walking to the little market.

This is a great house for a family to gather. We had 6 adults and 5 children. There is so much space to spread out and to be together - whatever we needed! Every couple had their own bedroom and bathroom along with multiple options for the kid’s sleeping arrangements. The game room was a big hit as well as all the outdoor space. It was perfect for our Thanksgiving celebration.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic cabin over the weekend and I must say it was a family reunion to remember! Unloading our luggage was a breeze thanks to the garage-style door openings in the game room. We were able to quickly unload our mountain of belongings (14 people tend to bring a lot of stuff, as it turns out).
It's like this cabin was designed by someone who knows the secret to achieving ultimate relaxation. The hot tub, the coffee makers, the pool table - were all stars of the show. And the oversized XL firepit was so huge, that we almost considered roasting marshmallows from the comfort of the hot tub.
The seclusion of this cabin is a game-changer. Unlike other cabins in the area that are practically on top of each other, this one had an acre of backyard space for all of our family reunion activities.
Ultimately, every inch of this cabin was beautiful and perfect for creating beautiful memories. Big thanks to the host for being available all weekend to answer our endless questions. It's safe to say that our family reunion turned into an unforgettable adventure thanks to this cabin and its perfect blend of coziness and convenience. If you're in the mood for a cabin getaway with a dash of extra-awesome, this is the cabin for you!

I cannot say enough how wonderful our stay was. The house is immaculate and beautifully done. They owners have thought of everything. And James was so informative and helpful. The location is the best! There is a great little market within walking distance that has everything you need for a weekend stay. But the property is still very private. The fire pit was lovely and we made s’mores and told scary stories every night. The game room was awesome as well. My kids had a blast, and so did the dog. We had 9 people in our group and there were still extra bedrooms. We cannot wait to come back and stay longer. It’s our new favorite place!

The house was beautiful. It was absolutely perfect for our family of adult children and the grandkids. Location was perfect within walking distance of an (expensive) market. I rated cleanliness low because of the construction trash on the outside of the house. The host was available and made up for the construction inconvenience.

Our group consisted of four teenagers, one 7 year old and nine adults, one in a wheelchair. The accessibility was very high. There was a ramp to get in the door, the rooms are all on one floor and the shower is a roll in shower with a handheld. There was ample amount of room to accommodate everyone in our group. We like to play a lot of board games and the three huge tables in the dining room and the circle table in the game room were perfect for this. We would absolutely love to stay here again.

Our family gathered here for a 4 night visit to the Hochatown/Broken Bow Area. Windmill Lodge was awesome! It was in a great location, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed many great meals, smores around the fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub, playing table tennis and countless challenges for a game of pool. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house ensured privacy for everyone. We kayaked on the lake and river, hiked and spent many hours filled with memories, fun and laughter. From initial inquiry about the home, through the booking process, arrival and during our entire stay Kristin was always quick to respond and went above and beyond in order to make our vacation a comfortable, memorable and enjoyable experience.

We have vacationed in the Broken Bow area for 13 years and this cabin was a hit with my group. The property manager was very responsive and communicated well with me. The layout is great for several family members or separate groups to stay together. Game room was a hit, and we had a pool tournament. The location was easy to find and well maintained.

This was a new Mother's Day tradition for our family since we lost my son. Kristin was super sweet, understanding, went out of her way to make sure our time was memorial, and even had flowers delivered for me to the house! She is so thoughtful and an awesome host. The house is amazing. I love how each king suite/bath is spread out into it's own end of the house for privacy. The house is so large and has plenty of room for everyone. The garage has been converted to a game room with a big variety of games that gives everyone something to do. The house is in a great location and decorated so nicely with plenty of towels and the kitchen is fully stocked for cooking. There is just absolutely nothing bad to say about this house or host!! Her kindness is above and beyond.
