Overall we had a fantastic holiday. It was an adventure. Would definitely recommend.

The complex was beautiful. Gardens where stunning and well maintained. Easy reach to the beach. Lovely views. We booked garden views but got sea views also. Manuel our apartment manager was exceptionally helpfully and very accommodating, down to taking us to local restaurant on our first night and shopping the following day. Thank you 😄

Due to current circumstances, all on site facilities were closed, swimming pool, restaurant, supermarket, no on site ATM. Reception for complex were really unhelpful. No cleaner for all our stay, including clean linen, "FREE WIFI" had to be begged for. Nearest facilities ie, restaurants (2) that were still open, shops, supermarket were a 20 minute walk, no buses. If we had been advised to hire a car it would have been easier.

Next time - only a hotel...

The beach was awesome, located in a gulf with always warm and super-clear water. And there's another one even better - Cala Sabina, in 1 station by train. Awesome for snorkeling - underwater rocks with lots of various sea dwellers to observe.

Property: Almost nothing from the provided details matched the reality. While the description was clearly saying: "1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 living room with a sofa", we've been brought to a tiny studio having only 1 single room with 2 sofas. And the guy responsible for our check-in (let's call him M) was even trying to convince us that it is exactly the apartment we booked. After demonstrating him the details in Booking.com app, and then calling together to Booking.com support, he finally offered us an alternative - an apartment with 2 bedrooms, but without an air-con, and for a higher price. Several more awkward minutes of negotiations, and we agreed that we pay only for an extra cleaning and move to that bigger apartment next day. Needless to say that the first day of our vacation, as well as our vacation mood was completely wasted by this incident. And it wasn't even the end yet: 1 day before our departure M suddenly came and asked us to move again to a similar apartment, because our "replacement" apartment was planned for something else. Which gave us a chance to end our vacation in the same mood as we started it with. Wi-Fi (also present in the details) was completely missing, in all 3 apartments that we had a chance to try. As we understood, they all rely on some global Wi-Fi network covering the entire area, and that network was out of order long before we came. Swimming pool (that's right, also in the details) was formally present, but closed the entire time. Maybe it was some anti-Covid measure, but in this case I'd prefer to be at least informed about it somehow, which was not the case. Location: There are 2 types of restaurants in Marinella: 1. Serving microwaved food in sealed plastic containers for ~15 EUR. 2. Overpriced (supposedly high-end) restaurants with rather mediocre food, opening only at 19:30.

HORRIBLE

NOTHING WORST STAY EVER! The area was pretty

The place was advertised as a one bedroom with sofa that made a bed. We were told when checking in we would get a sea view and pool view. When arriving to room it was super small with 2 sofa beds and a table and NON Working kitchen! There was a huge box in this super small room....the stove did not work ...... it apparently was turned off, who would have none. There was one wine glass. There were 2 chairs. The ice trays were all cracked and useless. One bed was soaking wet! There was only one blanket for two sofa beds. You had to wait for one of us to move unordered to walk or move the furniture around. The bathroom had cracked tile and one half roll of toilet paper for 3 people. The view - let’s say if you step on your toes you could see water far off. The pool view was non existent. The beach was far. The place was nothing like was expected and even if i was it was in poor shape and the staff was very poor and in experienced. They took zero accountability for the shape the place was in and only made excuses blaming me the customer fir. Wing ignorant. I would run and never stay here!
